When I was a kid in the 80's, I couldn't wait for Saturday morning cartoons. Now, I look toward to Saturday mornings just as much! Hot coffee and Emily time! I really appreciate your makeup tutorials and product suggestions. Thanks Emily!
Aww I love that! I was an avid Saturday morning cartoon watcher, too. Looking back it was funny how I'd struggle to wake up early for school and then on Saturday mornings I was jumping out of bed as early as possible to get the day going :D Thanks for watching!!
Emily I live this video idea not only because let’s face it .. it’s Emily 😍 but because you were realistic and thoughtful that the average person wouldn’t have a huge budget to spend to buy everything all at once . Reason you’re the best and very loved!
Not sad at all! I think having something that makes you feel confident and something to have fun with is especially important during rough times! Hope the damage was minimal!
Meg Alyssa you are so right! The entire downstairs of my house is gutted right now. We are living upstairs with 2 small bedrooms and a bathroom for the time being. Watching UA-cam and playing with my makeup is definitely an escape for me.
Also just wanted to add how much I appreciate how much thought Emily puts into her videos, she really put herself in the position of losing all her makeup here, thanks for all your hard work Emily
Love love love this idea!! Such a good way to figure out what are the true faves and staples. I'm going to film this on my channel too! I might do drugstore and high end ..... seems so hard haha
Yes! Excited to see. Except I’d like it if it was drugstore and high end combined because it’d show if any of the drugstore actually stack up to the high end. But either way, you know I’ll be watching.
Emily, Iam learning English, with your videos I can develop my listening skills and at the same time know the lastest makeup at the market. (You are my English and makeup teacher!!😊)
I love that you took this seriously and did research and played around with the products to make sure you were doing what you would ACTUALLY do! You’re one of my favorites, Emily; and thank you so much for not ever selling out and always being honest with/for us!! You’re the best!
Yay! I literally danced a little in happiness when I saw that she had answered my comment. Thank you Emily! I've always been impressed by how connected you are to your UA-cam community, but this video gives me a whole new perspective.
Great video!! My luggage was lost on a business trip and I had six hours to replace all my makeup and find a business outfit before my first meeting. I lived that panic and it's not a good feeling! LOL!! Great video as always! I'd love to hear your ideas on an ultimate one-stop-shop palette!! Stay true Emily we luv ya!! Hugs to the family!
Kathryn Berryman I landed in Dayton, Ohio at 2am after severe weather delays caused an extended layover in Las Vegas. Checked out my rental car and drove around trying to find ANYTHING that was open. The one and only store was a Kroger...like a super Walmart. I went running to the cosmetics section and grabbed the bare essentials. Makeup was the least of my worries. I had no toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, hair essentials, clean underwear, and so on. Then I hit the women's clothing section. I wear a size 0 in juniors, so you could imagine the time I had trying to find anything that would fit. The junior section was littered with bedazzled jeans and I didn't think it would be appropriate to wear them during my briefing to a member of Congress on the Joint Strike Fighter program when I was trying to lobby for five billion dollars. I finally found a dress in size 3/4 and a belt that I could use to tuck all the extra material behind my back. I was wearing a leather blazer (traveling from California) that I wore during the briefing to cover the hot mess. Luckily I also had on a pair of leather high-heeled boots that I could make work. The clothing section was next to the vegetable department and the dress smelled like onions. So off running to the cosmetic section again in search of a perfume. I found one that didn't smell like fly repellent so I nabbed the sucker. Checked out of Krogers, drove to my hotel, and checked in at 6:45am. Took a shower, dressed, applied makeup, and made it to the briefing room by 7:55am. Luckily I emailed my briefing slides in advance so they were already loaded. By 10:45am my funding was approved even with the musky onion smell reeking from my clothing!! LMAO! I was having major panic attacks the entire time!!! :-)
I love how real you are saying what isn’t maybe top choice but is practical for a situation like this (that hopefully none of us are in!). I am looking forward to your Flower Beauty reviews!
Its as if you posted this just for me. I actually DID lose all of my (rather extensive) makeup collection. I lost my apartment and many of the things inside (some furniture and clothes, pictures, makeup etc) this is going to be so helpful to me thank you so much! It gives me an idea of things I might buy on top of my own staples
I honestly can’t tell you how much I appreciate you and your videos. I’m going through a really hard time mentally and you give me a few moments of relief. I always enjoy your videos immensely. Thank you thank you thank you! Love you and your sweet family.
I actually made a UA-cam playlist called “Comfort Food Creators” that consists of you and Jessica Braun. I always rewatch old videos of you two to make me feel better.
Lemme just add, I love love love your Saturday morning videos and how they more often than not are longer, filmed "dark and early," and you often get ready with us. While I sit and drink my coffee - it's just so nice ♡♡♡♡♡♡
Unfortunately, I did have to experience this. In August of 2016, my entire city flooded, including my home. I was lucky because I had enough time to grab the majority of my family’s sentimental items and put them in our attic to keep them safe. Most of our city did not have that luxury. We ended up with about two inches of water in our home, which was bad, but it definitely could have been worse. We lost everything that was not on a top shelf in the closest or in our attic (which was mostly our Christmas decorations). I have never experienced anything like this, and I hope never to go through anything like it again. Eighteen months later - we are still working on our home because we did not have flood insurance. We do not live in a flood zone and are not required to have it. We have come a long way, but we still have some work to do. I am slowly trying to build up my beauty products. Although I do enjoy them, in the grand scheme of things a lot more important items needed to be replaced first. For anyone who is watching this video because they truly need this advice, I want you to know that it is tough, but you can do it. Things will get better. It just takes time. The old adage is very true - if it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger.
jremediesfrance are you in Houston? My house flooded also. A little over a foot. I commented on here about saving my makeup, but I am SO SORRY for your losses. We are fortunate in that we have 2 stories, and I had a good 4 hours to save what I could before the water entered. Also, I don't have children so that cut down the amount of stuff to try to save. My home isn't in the flood plain either. So many of my neighbors weren't as fortunate to have a 2nd story. We ended up having to be rescued by boat with our 8 pets (I know a little excessive!) Let me know if you need anything! Makeup, personal care products, whatever... My neighborhood really pulled together to help each other out and that has been such a blessing.
anneemull Thank you for your sweet response and offer. We are in Denham Springs, Louisiana. We actually flooded almost exactly a year before Houston did. We did not receive as much national coverage as Houston since we are a small town. When Houston flooded, I prayed for all of you. I knew what was happening to you and the road that y’all had ahead. My heart ached for y’all, so I prayed and sent recovery supplies your way. I don’t know how we would have made it without all of the support and donations we received from family, friends, and complete strangers. As crazy as it is to say, going through this actually restored some of my lost faith in people. We also had to leave by boat. We too do not have human kids, but a fur baby instead. ☺️ However, my parents and brother were staying with us because it was my birthday and we were supposed to be going out to eat that night. It was an experience for sure. We are doing okay, though. The flood definitely helped us determine what is most important in life and what we can and cannot live without. I actually did not watch beauty videos on UA-cam before the flood. I started because I was looking up reviews for quality affordable makeup since I needed to repurchase everything. Now I’m hooked! 😂 Hope your family is well and that life is as close to back to normal as it can be.
jremediesfrance I noticed after I replied that you said 2016! 😊 Thank you for the prayers! It really does put some perspective on what's important in life!
Happy rainy, cloudy Saturday, Emily. I don't own any of the makeup items you mentioned, but loved the video. I was looking forward to you doing this video. I would love to see the products you'd buy in that moderate priced, and another video with luxury priced items. Your look turned out beautifully. Many blessings, and love...MaryEllen
Actually this video is very useful. I live in Puerto Rico and many people lost their homes in September when Hurricane Maria hit the island. I know many girls who had to leave everything behind when they moved to the states so I’ll be defined sharing this video with them.
I have a bunch of questions ( lol ) 1 - what would you say are best “ your lips but better “ options ? ( I’m a lipstick virgin ) 2- How do you avoid creasing at under eye? 3- How do you disguise pores ( some stuff seems to amplify this on me ) 4- Would you do a slowed down techniques video for any of these things , plus maybe a close up (slow down ) of your eyes when you apply ? I’ve been watching for a few years now and while I’m much improved , I still need help hahahahaha
Great video. I was thinking you could also use the blushes from the Flower palette as eyeshadows as well. Then you'd have a few more options for eye looks. 😘
Thank you for the Flower beauty up coming review.. I cannot wait. I have not seen many reviews on the stick foundation or many that had positive reviews. The Light Illusion foundation got number 1 for 15 days of foundation by Thatalaa.
This was SUCH a good video concept & one which could be adjusted with all sorts of variables. You chose to add the stipulation that the items had to be purchased at a single store, but you could also do this with unlimited funds, or (as you did) assuming you're on a budget. You could add that they all had to be drugstore or all high end. You could change it to 5 items or make it 15. It could also be done with the premise that you'd only have these things for a while or do it assuming these would simply be the first, but you'd be able to buy more within the next couple weeks. It could be done with items only from a single brand. You could use the same premise for tools &/or brushes, or skincare/haircare/hygiene products in general. The possibilities are ENDLESS & I love it!❤ I guess this is kinda how UA-camrs brainstorm video ideas.🤔
Good morning! Love Saturday morning coffee with Emily! This video is great. Gives great ideas for starting out and not feeling like you're missing anything important. Thanks for the info. Hugs!! --Terry
Hi Emily! Great idea! I lost my house and belongings to fire and all I had was the clothes I was wearing that day. When I was ready to replace some makeup products I too kept it basic. I lost both of my professional kits and haven't returned to work yet. It takes a lot of time and money to get a collection together but you offered some really great tips. Thanks for another great video and making me smile. I can always count on you! 💜💜💜
So glad you did this video (I saw you mention it in your Q&A video). Thanks for walking us through your decisions. Makes me think what I’d replenish in my stash had this situation occurred on my end! ❤️❤️
I'm obsessed with this video!!! Honestly, this is sooooooooooooo useful for travel ideas. I absolutely love multi use palettes and I'm really interested in that one!
this is such a great idea- when my family evacuated from Katrina, my mom left all of her makeup and hair products behind so i imagine she did something similar to this in replacing her products
Good morning! Kathleen lights recently suggested you to watch on UA-cam and she said you’re a mom and I instantly followed! I have a almost year old son and he is my world! I don’t know how you find the time but I’m obsessed! 😁 thank you!!
This is really a more practical video than you might think. I have been on a trip & left makeup behind & needed all new basics. And recently I realized all my makeup was well past its prime and threw much of it out. So I really like this one idea of thinking through real basic needs. Wonderful.
Emily I appreciate how impeccably thorough you are when explaining the what and why of your decision making process. It’s always a joy visiting your channel 💞
I think this was so cool! Maybe in the future do a version with Sephora and no budget? Your 10 favorite luxury/high end products you couldn’t live without!
Emily, can you PLEASE do a CRUELTY FREE version?? I only buy from cruelty free brands. My dog was a rescue from a shampoo testing lab. She is blind and has no voicebox (she can't bark or squeal). Her voicebox was taken out so she wouldn't cry out of pain when they were injecting chemicals into her and she is blind because they rubbed shampoo in her eyes. I know all too well what L'Oréal and Benefit do to animals and I don't support that at all. However, brands like Flower Beauty, Milani and Makeup Revolution are cruelty free!! I would love to hear your cruelty free favorites!! 💗
Svetlana Mikhaylova I love you have a rescue dog. I have just started turning my items to cruelty free. Shampoo and conditioner are two items I am finding replacements for since Biolage is not. I wish more youtubers would go CF. I have not been watching videos with all one brand that sells in China or does animal testing.
Tamara, I completely agree with you. I wish more big youtubers were cruelty free. My two favorite cruelty free UA-camrs are Nicole Renee and Andrea Matillano. No makeup or skincare is ever worth abusing an animal for. Especially since animal testing is crazy expensive ($1.4 billion in US tax payer money every year) as well as ineffective (products that don't irritate the skin of a bunny could still be toxic for human skin, in fact only 5% of animal experiments yield any results.)
Svetlana Mikhaylova This comment really opened my eyes on animal testing. Honestly making me want to go cruelty free when before it wasn’t something I ever thought about. God bless you & your puppy!
Svetlana Mikhaylova that breaks my heart I wanna cry! God bless you for loving that fur baby even with all its disabilities! I never knew HOW they tested on animals and you opened my eyes! From now on only cruelty free and NO ANIMAL TESTING products will hit my makeup room!!! Thanks for sharing your heartwarming story ❤️❤️
Ok...paused this 1 minute in and I'm gonna guess that one of your top ten will be the Benefit Boing concealer. I bought this product after watching one of your videos and it has been the ONLY product I have EVER tried that conceals my under-eye discoloration, as well as acne scarring. I'm 45 and have tried so many products over the years! That would be the NUMBER 1 product on my list!! Now...let's see if I'm right...YEP! That stuff is the bomb.
Since I don't use false lashes I would replace that with a setting mist and I would replace the liquid eye liner with the Essence Gel Waterproof eye liner (I'm not great with liquid ones). Thank you Emily! If I ever have the horror of not having my beloved products, now I have a list of basics, without extra stress of thinking what do I need?!
Last week I commented on Saturday’s video and said I was being induced to give birth to my second son, and now today he is a week old! Hope you’re having a wonderful day Emily! ❤️
Beth Irene I remember your comment and lol’d bc I would’ve loved to have something to keep my attention when I had my kids but that was 19,13 and almost 11 yrs ago now. Even though only one was with an epidural, I surely would’ve appreciated YT during it! CONGRATULATIONS🎉 There’s an adjustment period with two but you’ve got this!
I feel like I am watching the idea of “the Needs” pallet be born! What a great question from your viewer! And I really do think they got you to look at and think about all-in-one pallets and how you could create the perfect one. 😊🌸
Yes Emily I know what you mean when my husbands not at home I feel like somethings missing (obviously) but I just feel like I’m more on the edge, once he’s home that weight on my shoulder does away 😊 btw I need to get my hands on at least one of those L’Oréal lipped they look so comfortable!
I love how much you genuinely love drugstore makeup! With all that you've tried, the majority of this video is pretty much some of your fave drugstore products!
Emily made me buy it! I bought the L'oreal lipstick in Varnished Rosewood. I love it. On me, it is a little more pink than I like but I found layering it over any color lipliner makes it look so perfect! A burgundy lipliner looks so different than a plum lipliner. I love the shine of it. The high shine of a gloss without the goopy feeling.
Fun! I would buy... Loreal cushion foundation, UD concealer, May loose powder, Laura Geller blush and bronze pallete, Lash paradise, Loreal infallible eye liner, spackle primer, TF eye primer, KVD lolita, maybelline brow pencil.
How cool would that be if you did a collab with TheBalm to come out with your holygrail face palette?! Omg Id definitely buy it!!! You really know what’s good I trust your opinions over anyone else! 🎀✨💖✨
One of the best combo palettes that I use everyday is the smashbox shape matters palette. It doesn't have a blush in it but it does have eyebrow powder and wax, eyeshadow and bronzer and highlighter.
As soon as you presented the video topic, I paused it & listed my top ten. I also chose the Loreal Color Riche Shine lipstick for my lip product only I selected the shade Glossy Fawn (although the Fenty Gloss Bomb was neck & neck). I wanted a lip item I wouldn't need a liner for, one that would go with any look, & one I'd find comfortable bc I didn't have a slot left for a balm or gloss if I chose a liquid lip that began to get uncomfortable. Part of the fun of this video is hearing the reasons behind each choice. Much like you, my list wasn't strictly favorites, but rather a combination of some favorites & some more practical items.
Yes! I tried that Loreal lipstick and in Glossy Fawn because of you, I would NEVER have picked that one, and I LOVE it! It's the perfect shade for my lips! I also really really wanted Varnished Rosewood but my Ulta was out. I want to try so many more too! Thank you for your wonderful videos and all you do to make them great! 😍
Great video! Very helpful and fun. I hope it never happens because I'd be devastated but I would definitely use your list to start over. I'm sure I'll buy some of these products that I don't have in my collection. I love you Emily I hope you and your beautiful family have an amazing weekend
I love this!! I did this years back and it was easy to choose some things and other things were so difficult!! I should jot down a new list now because I’m sure things have changed as new products have come out and replaced prior faves. You always look so beautiful! I love your shirt.
A few weeks ago my older sisters home burned down and she is still intact in this situation. She has amazing people around her and she was able to get atleast the basics at first.
The question was well thought out as far as the number. It allows for each feature of the face and prep and set stuff. Beautiful job as usual Em. I have great appreciation for the realistictly priced products you often use as your staples. Not unlike most of us.
I did, thanks to Harvey. I've replaced sephora microsmooth powder, blush and mascara and that's about it. & my flower beauty sponge! I love that thing!!
Right before new years eve, my entire makeup collection was stolen from my car (gasp!) Anyway, when I went to replace I really took some time to think and narrow down what I actually missed and I was surprised at how few things I ACTUALLY found essential!
Love this so much!! We just had a fire in Northern California a few months ago and so many people lost everything. My friend just had his house burnt down and he’s a makeup addict so this totally reminded me of him, thank you so much!❤️
Flew to a wedding this weekend. My bag (including all my makeup) was delayed so I had to try to replace products to tide me over until it arrived. I bought the Flower palette and I’m so glad I did. It’s got great colors and nice quality for the price.
If I had a disastrous event , like a house fire and had to start all over again, I would be devastated thinking of how much can I claim that on my insurance.
Great job on putting together a full-face look here! This *actually* happened to me last year - my apartment building had a fire and, while no one was injured (the most important thing) and my unit was not affected by flames, I was still instructed by firefighters and insurance to throw away all my makeup, toiletries, and food. I was doing my grad school clinical rotations in small-town Illinois (no Ulta/Target/Sephora within a 1-hour drive), so I had to pack up my clothes, head to the laundromat so I'd have clothes for my rotations the next day, and then pick up some essentials from Wal-Mart that night. I spent the night at the hospital (thanks to the chaplain) and the next two weeks at a hotel before moving back in and finishing out my grad school program. So from experience, my skincare/makeup essentials were: Simple Micellar Water and cotton rounds, CeraVe PM moisturizer, Covergirl concealer, Almay liquid eyeliner, Covergirl lashblast mascara, and Eos lip balm. I grew my collection exponentially over the following year thanks in part to subscribing to so many fantastic Beautubers, so the choices I'd make now would likely be very different. In the end, though, it was just makeup and I was lucky I had my laptop with me. And I highly recommend taking an inventory of your items for insurance purposes!
It’s so funny that you forgot an eye primer because the first thing I thought when I opened this video was “she definitely has the Milani eye shadow primer on this list!”
Loved this video! Perfect pick me up for a rainy Saturday morning! I would love to see a top 10 multi palette video. I don't think I have ever saw that in a video! Moms love to multitask!
L’oreal Colour Riche Shines are absolutely fabulous. I would easily think that was a super pricey high end lipstick if I didn't know better. The packaging, the fromula, the colors, perfection
Great idea for a video. I love all the thought you put into it. Another great multitasking pallet I think would be the Balm’s Rockstar pallet - eyes, lips, blush and highlight. I think you could also get your brows out of it as well.
Yey!!! Happiness up to 100%. I just want you know Em, watching and re-watching your videos make me happy. I'm alone in Canada living and working, while my family is back in Asia and it can be lonely. So when you upload videos and I get to watch with coffee in hand, it's a wonderful escape. Thank you for what you do for me.. for us your subscribers.
With the discontinuation of the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation in the States, can you recommend a similar product? It's the only foundation I've used for the last three years so when I walked through the makeup aisle and it was gone I had a mini panic attack! I have oily skin and have never liked a foundation as much as I do this one.
Which high end products? I'm open to trying anything if I can get the same results. Everything else I've tried seems to settle into my pores. Both drugstore and high end.
I loved this! If you had to replace brushes as well, what would you buy for inexpensive eye brushes? I got the face brush recs from the video, but wasn’t clear on eye brushes.
I totally feel the same! I'm a Kindergarten teacher and this is my time to unwind. I watch all the videos from the week back to back! Love you Emily!
Me too!!!
Exactly!!!!
So true!! I’m not a coffee gal so Tea &/ or juice/ smoothie for me, but otherwise I’m right with you!!
Emily I live this video idea not only because let’s face it .. it’s Emily 😍 but because you were realistic and thoughtful that the average person wouldn’t have a huge budget to spend to buy everything all at once . Reason you’re the best and very loved!
My house flooded during hurricane Harvey. My makeup collection is some of the first things I took upstairs to save. Is that sad? LOL
I GET YOU.
No it can be expensive
Hunny not at all !!!! That stuff is pricey
Do it!! :D It really makes you look at products differently!
Samantha Jane looking forward to your video Samantha! 😘
Yes! Excited to see. Except I’d like it if it was drugstore and high end combined because it’d show if any of the drugstore actually stack up to the high end. But either way, you know I’ll be watching.
You should totally do this Samantha! I will keep my eyes open for it.
Agreed!!
Emily, Iam learning English, with your videos I can develop my listening skills and at the same time know the lastest makeup at the market. (You are my English and makeup teacher!!😊)
Lily Simental that’s so sweet😭
Emily is a great choice for that! She is articulate and lovely. I was thinking of doing the same to help learn Spanish.
This comment made me so happy as a teacher. You’re doing a great job.
She speaks very fast, but I notice that every day I undetstand more English...
Lily Simental keep up the good work! Love from New Jersey, USA
I've always been impressed by how connected you are to your UA-cam community, but this video gives me a whole new perspective.
tessunrise great idea!
Great question! It made me sit down and come up with my own list. And it might even help me figure out what stuff I really don't need to keep.
Lily Loves Lattes how did you do that?!

Lily Loves Lattes you are a strong woman, and sooo independent, I read all you wrote and I so admire the way you handeled things👍👍👍💖
Sounds like you have an interesting job. Glad you made it work in such dire circumstances.
Lily Loves Lattes Good job! It's amazing what we can withstand when we are pressed. Women are so much stronger than we think we are.
Such a cool idea! And I love that you applied them as well💜
This exact thing happened to me as a result of Hurricane Irma, I have to rebuild my collection and everything else I own...
I love how real you are saying what isn’t maybe top choice but is practical for a situation like this (that hopefully none of us are in!).

Let me know if you need anything!
It really does put some perspective on what's important in life!
jremediesfrance I'm from Holden! My parents flooded also but i did not. It's been a long journey for everyone affected
I'd like to see those videos too
Great idea!
Maybe she will do it, Sharon!!!
We'll keep our fingers crossed, Jamie Sue!!
No milani eyeshadow primer? The world feels wrong right now
"I've done this before. I was fine. Everybody lived".... that completely cracked me up :D
Carla de Souza @me when the foundation wasn’t revlon color stay
Right? Before even watching this i was thinking “well the Milani primer is definitely on there!”
Carla de Souza lol!!! 😂🤣😂
Emily would you consider doing another single cruise or quad challenge? Xoxo
really fun singles-type project coming soon! with a twist, of course! :D
CandyiHeart Yes!!!
Cloudy day in France no matter here is Emily sunshine !💕
Awesome video! 😍 but false lashes wouldn't have made it on my 10, I would trade that for a setting spray 😉
Tiffany McCain 💞 I thought the same:)
Or primer
Def setting spray! But then again I’d be set with 4 products. Mascara, eyeliner, bronzer and a lippie! oh does moisturizer count😂😂
Same. I think Emily has such great natural lashes, I prefer her without the falsies. I would've gone for a setting spray too.
Deana Wells- EmilyNoel and ThaTaylaa are my favs! Also love Jessica from JamBeauty89!
I've been wanting to try it so bad since #FDOF ... Unfortunately I don't think Canadian walmarts carry Flower Beauty anymore:/
Could not agree more about the new L'Oreal lipsticks!
Hugs!! --Terry
fantasiabubbles1984 Lol...thats EXACTLY what im doing. Drinking coffee in the bed watching UA-cam b4 I start filming😗😗
Hi Emily! 💜💜💜
Lovely! I need the Burnished Blush. Already have Varnished Rose and it's fantastic.
A great video to watch during this storm... or really anytime! Thank you!
this is such a great idea- when my family evacuated from Katrina, my mom left all of her makeup and hair products behind so i imagine she did something similar to this in replacing her products
Good morning! Kathleen lights recently suggested you to watch on UA-cam and she said you’re a mom and I instantly followed! I have a almost year old son and he is my world! I don’t know how you find the time but I’m obsessed! 😁 thank you!!
What a great, thought provoking question! I loved seeing the products you’d choose and the look you created! 👍🏼😍
Stephanie Marie I follow you too and would like to see your take on this.
I'm with Lauren! I think you should definitely do this idea! I think Emily would love it since you just partnered up on Instagram! Do it please!
Totally agree! Please do this.
Stephanie Marie, please answer this too. I want to see! Please, pretty please.
Hi Emily, thanks for the video - good job! My question is, why do you use L'Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara AND use false lashes? Seems redundant????
This is really a more practical video than you might think. I have been on a trip & left makeup behind & needed all new basics. And recently I realized all my makeup was well past its prime and threw much of it out. So I really like this one idea of thinking through real basic needs. Wonderful.
I guessed the lip product correctly AND I'm wearing that shade today. Thanks for the recommendations!
Your videos are always interesting! This is something to think about before I simplify my collection.
A great video would be an empties video, empties you couldn't live without.
Hannah Hilton I am SO happy to hear that!! You have no idea! If you ever need any help with finding cruelty free products, let me know. ❤
The balm in your hand vol 1 would certainly give you a lot more (colour) options, and since the pans are multi-use it would be more versatile I think.
Could you do a high end version of this?
Since I don't use false lashes I would replace that with a setting mist and I would replace the liquid eye liner with the Essence Gel Waterproof eye liner (I'm not great with liquid ones). Thank you Emily! If I ever have the horror of not having my beloved products, now I have a list of basics, without extra stress of thinking what do I need?!
Last week I commented on Saturday’s video and said I was being induced to give birth to my second son, and now today he is a week old! Hope you’re having a wonderful day Emily! ❤️
Congratulations!!! 🎊🎉🎊🎉😊
Love how much careful thought and consideration you put into this! Especially for needing to get everything in one place!
I use a concealer as a eyeshadow primer a lot!
I love how much you genuinely love drugstore makeup! With all that you've tried, the majority of this video is pretty much some of your fave drugstore products!
None of my guesses made your list I was sure the Milani primer would be 1st on your list you are full of surprises ⚘
Oh my gosh I love this idea! I would also be getting the makeup revolution concealer
Great video!!! Emily! You should come out with your own ideal face powder palette!!! That would be amazing! Love you Lots xoxo 🤗🤗🤗💜
I was waiting for this video since I saw your Q & A ... haha, wonderful job putting this idea together ✨👍🏼🙂🎥💄
I just love how well spoken Emily is.
So what I’m hearing you say is that you are going to create an ideal combo face/eye palette?! 😉😉
❤️Saturday mornings!!! ❤️
Woop Woop!!
A few weeks ago my older sisters home burned down and she is still intact in this situation. She has amazing people around her and she was able to get atleast the basics at first.
I'm now making up a song in my head called "If I'd Lost All My Makeup," to the tune of Bare Naked Ladies' "If I Had a Million Dollars" Ba ha ha! 😀💜🎶🎵
The question was well thought out as far as the number. It allows for each feature of the face and prep and set stuff. Beautiful job as usual Em. I have great appreciation for the realistictly priced products you often use as your staples. Not unlike most of us.
My Saturday is now complete with such a great video from Emily! 💕💕💕
I did, thanks to Harvey. I've replaced sephora microsmooth powder, blush and mascara and that's about it.
& my flower beauty sponge! I love that thing!!
Right before new years eve, my entire makeup collection was stolen from my car (gasp!)
Anyway, when I went to replace I really took some time to think and narrow down what I actually missed and I was surprised at how few things I ACTUALLY found essential!
Love this so much!! We just had a fire in Northern California a few months ago and so many people lost everything. My friend just had his house burnt down and he’s a makeup addict so this totally reminded me of him, thank you so much!❤️
That was fun and it sure made me think! What would I buy??? Decisions...decisions!
Flew to a wedding this weekend. My bag (including all my makeup) was delayed so I had to try to replace products to tide me over until it arrived. I bought the Flower palette and I’m so glad I did. It’s got great colors and nice quality for the price.
The best part of my day is watching your video. Love yoooou.
aww love you!
emilynoel83 OMG you loved my comment. Best day ever. I love your reviews. You're awesome.
So refreshing to hear a different intro than the typical "hey guys, welcome back to my channel". Really love the connection.
If I had a disastrous event , like a house fire and had to start all over again, I would be devastated thinking of how much can I claim that on my insurance.
Pearl Perez-Crooks Seriously! Emily's collection should be insured like crazy! ☺
Are these large collections insured?
I'm sure it could be! And I wonder if she can claim all the makeup she buys as a deductible work expense. 😀
I get literal anxiety thinking about something happening to my makeup collection 😧
L’oreal Colour Riche Shines are absolutely fabulous. I would easily think that was a super pricey high end lipstick if I didn't know better. The packaging, the fromula, the colors, perfection
I guess the flower beauty is supposed to be a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury palette
Great suggestion, and great idea to turn this into a video! Really shows how well these products work!
Skin care next please
Great idea for a video. I love all the thought you put into it. Another great multitasking pallet I think would be the Balm’s Rockstar pallet - eyes, lips, blush and highlight. I think you could also get your brows out of it as well.
Love you emily. Been waiting for this video ❤️❤️❤️
If I had to pick a multi task palette, I’d say Stila’s Perfect Me/Perfect Hue. That’s a great one for me!
I agree. I would pick that also.
Would love a video from inglot on foundation, concealer and setting powder I love the fact you can create everything in one compact
Nichole D I haven't found anything drugstore priced that works in exact place of the Rimmel red cap. I've moved on to higher end ones.
Which high end products? I'm open to trying anything if I can get the same results. Everything else I've tried seems to settle into my pores. Both drugstore and high end.
Great video! Do you like the Boing better than the Pixi color corrector?
Goooooood morning! Coffee and Emily! Yay :)
Cheers!!
I loved this! If you had to replace brushes as well, what would you buy for inexpensive eye brushes? I got the face brush recs from the video, but wasn’t clear on eye brushes.
You always come up with the BEST video topics!!!! 😀😀😀
Xx
fashion chalet yes agreed, it’s different from most channels and that’s what I love
I have been loving the color riche lipsticks and Maybelline foundation!
