Hellvape - MD MTL RTA - Coil & Wick

Basic Coiling and Wicking on the Hellvape MD MTL RTA.

I got the exact same mod and I was looking for a way to build the damn coil. Never figured I could trim the ends of the wires from the other side of the deck lol. Thanks!

I've had mine for awhile and no matter what I do no matter how I build or wick it always leaks like a sieve! I think it's due to the plastic white fill port gasket thingy cuz mine is squished up and doesnt sit right so I think its messing the pressure up making it leak no matter what I do.
Worst rta ever bought man lol never again w these push fill systems with the gaskets.

Do you ever get muted flavour after wicking it?

Hi, try dropping your coil closer to the airflow and making sure it is in the patch of the afc disc and the driptip to get maximum air onto the coil. Also start with your external airflow fully open, then dial it down to closed while you vape it and back up to where you get the best flavor. Also thin out your cotton a little bit more to get more saturation going. Any drying out of the cotton will reduce flavor.

I thought so. Not to much cotton and as short as wick can get, optimal being cotton ends touching bottom of the wells, barely. All without initiating leaking. As close as you get there, better the flavour.

@@DarthBranMuffin still only sometimes getting great flavor. No dry or burnt hits though (i am running it on stainless steel wire, TC mode, 450 F). Coil is as close to airflow as it can get, no fluffing of wick, samw lenght as you - as advised by hellvape). Last time I wick it it was for the first time excellent. I changed wick than some 10 days later, didnt have to at all but I did. Now its only some average flavor, some 50 percent to the full.

I have two of these tanks. One leaks the other one not. Thats not the problem. My flavour on both is muted. Any ideas why.? On the one I have 28ga kanthal. 6 wraps. 1.2 ohm. Vaping 12 watts. The other 30ga*2 superfine fused. 0.9 ohm. Wattage 15.. Koh gen Do in both. ... Cant figure it out

Same as mine. When I change wick, everything is fine for few hours then flavour disappeears.

@@DarthBranMuffin what does it mean anyway, "in the patch of the afc disk"? Mine is as close as it can get to the hole /airflow and centered.
