So proud of you, Mike: in your older videos, you avoided raw sushi and opted for California-type rolls, and recently, you actually ate broccoli! What is this world coming to?!?!
Mikey - I love that you went from not eating anything raw to wolfing down Costco sized Sushi platters. You sure have broadened your horizons over the years and we're benefitting because of it. :)
Generally the quality of food you get at Costco is top notch. Kirkland (their store brand) is better than a lot of name branded items. Their bake at home pizzas are amazing. I say that being in the Chicago area. They have a few items they literally set up their own processing plants for so they could keep the price the same on a few key items. The hotdog and soda (1.50 in the US), and the 4.99 rotisserie chicken which I know you've had.
IIRC it's 1.75$ in Canada for the Hot-dog & Soda - and those Hot-Dogs are HUGE and TASTY! The pizza is also amazing I agree - all the foodcourt stuff is ridiculously good for an excellent price
I watch this show for one reason only. I am suffering from extreme food allergies and every time I eat I feel sick to my stomach and my lungs fill with flem. But this show always gives me an appetite boost. Keep on posting Mike, keep on!
Before Mike met John he actually never ate any sushi and had no interest. I remember at one episode Mike asked John to teach him how to properly eat sushi. I dont think Mike ever ate any sushi outside of Japan, though.
Saving Mikeys videos for the weekend. My guilty pleasure, heat up my leftovers from my dinner the night before and get back in bed to enjoy breakfast with a video! Yay!
Ours aren't too bad. The cheap eats at the food court are pretty tasty like the hot dogs and the chicken bakes! Love the refill soft drinks. I haven't seen sushi but the salads and pizzas in the deli are HUGE!
@@Fern.Harthrix Are you serious? We have 12 Costco locations in Australia! The first one opened in Melbourne's Docklands in 2009. Have you been asleep for 11 years mate?
@@Fern.HarthrixOhh sorry mate! I now live in regional VIC after moving from Sydney, I get how far everything is from you now! If you ever get to travel to one they are worth it! There's one in Perth, one in Canberra, one in Adelaide, two in Brisbane, three in Sydney and four in Melbourne. It's worth the $60 annual members fee as you can buy some big items. Their food is worth it alone in the cafe or in the refrigerated section. The family sized pizzas and salads are just massive but tasty. I used to go to the Marsden Park one in Western Sydney as I shared a household card with my housemate.
I have been watching you for a few years now. I am so proud of you doing what you love and seeing how successful you have become! Keep up the great videos!🥟🍤🍣🥩🍚😋❤
I have always liked the quality of foods in Costco and one of my fav department Grosh stores out there...buy that sushi just made me want some so bad and because it's in Japan, it's probably so good!

Now I'm craving for sushi after seeing that GINORMOUS platter. That's some high quality selection from costco! Wished we had grilled ox tongue samples here in the US 😋
OOOOHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! The sushi looked amazing! And being in Japan, I have no doubt it is perfect to eat, even though made on a large scale. I think I neeeeeeeed sushi soon!
Actually the green tea packets from Costco's Kirkland brand is not too bad in the US. They get their tea from Ito-en, a Japanese food company and so its similar to the Japanese stuff (not the best quality but typical Sencha green tea you get in Japan). It's mixed a bit with Macha green tea but overall the green tea (which is typically Sencha) is pretty good. Its far closer to Japanese Sencha than typical US brands.
I live in New York City and the Costco near me isn’t bad tbh. Their pizzas and chicken bakes never disappoint, although they tend to burn the chicken bakes.
American Costco is great, maybe its your area, sorry. I’ve been to a few other ones in other countries- the difference is mainly in obvious food selections.
I don’t know if I’ll ever stop by a Costco if I get the chance to travel to Japan, but I would honestly love the opportunity to do so. The food items on their menu is on another level!!!
@@woldrau777 Thank for for pointing that out. I was really about to google the whole covid situation in japan because I didn't see too many people wearing masks.

Watching this tripped me out a little bit. You know when you have a dream about a place, but it’s not “really” that place? That’s what this footage of Costco reminded me of. What I do with soggy pizza is heat up a skillet or cast iron griddle to get the bottom of the crust super crispy and crunchy. When the crust is half way there, I cover it with a bowl to get the cheese melted and sometimes that crisps on up on the sides too. Delicious! Yeah, it takes longer and when you're hungry you don't want to wait but believe me it is well worth it.
