Buddy!!! Killer table! Great choices. Circular shape was a game changer! The rectangle would have looked off, and cost you WAY MORE in epoxy, too. I love that you did the Black bottom epoxy followed by the clear on top. The contrast was evident- even in the video. Gorgeous piece.
That table is gorgeous! Great call on going round with it. I was kinda worried about the floating piece of wood in the center when it was rectangular, but it looks awesome now. Great work!
Thank you so much. So the answer is no and yes 😀It doesn't need it however, yes it adds protection to it and I would suggest it on anything that will see a lot of traffic. that includes other finishes as well and not just resin.
Great job Greg. Can't go wrong with black on maple in my opinion. Just gorgeous. If it's not in bad taste to ask, how much did you end up paying for that spalted piece?
Love the table, must say I had to laugh when i seen you doing the flood coat of epoxy in your living room as i could not help but think of the mess i would have made doing it with 3 hyperactive dogs in the house. 😅
Well, I could have but when I was doing the flattening I was still not 100% sure which direction I was going to go. The real truth in the end is that I purchased this circle cutting jig over a year ago and had not even opened it lol. So I wanted to get my money out of it.
Wow.. a round, black epoxy, river table…. How original. 🙄 These small UA-camrs should really try doing stuff that’s new and interesting, instead of constantly just trying to be a copy of Blacktail Studio. It’s so cringey.
Thank you for the feedback. First I will say if you find something to do that has not already be done then you will have a channel that will shoot to the top.😀 Second, thank you very much for the compliment of thinking of Cam over at @blacktailstudio when watching my video. I have learned a lot of tricks and tips from him. As a matter of fact, I just finished a class where he was one of the instructors. I'm flattered 😍

Thank you very much. I'm happy with the end result. They seem to be happy with it at the store as well..
Good call turning it into a circle. Nice table, and great video!
Thank you so much. Sorry I missed y'all again yesterday.
That table is gorgeous! Great call on going round with it. I was kinda worried about the floating piece of wood in the center when it was rectangular, but it looks awesome now. Great work!
Thank you. Yes, that was exactly what I was thinking as I looked at it as well.
Great table!! Does resin need ceramic coating? Does it help the sheen or protection? Once again awesome build!
Thank you so much. So the answer is no and yes 😀It doesn't need it however, yes it adds protection to it and I would suggest it on anything that will see a lot of traffic. that includes other finishes as well and not just resin.
Beautiful !! That finish is awesome. I want try that finish sometime.
Thank you. Enter to win a kit and maybe you can try it for free 😀
Beautiful table. Round was definitely the way to go. Don't know why i was expecting to see a massive chamfer like Cam likes doing 😂
😂😀😂 Thank you. I have one designed that I will be doing that just so happens......... lol
Beautiful table. I wish I had a hardwood store like that down in my area, although, I would probably spend more time there than actually working. Lol.
LOL very true. Well I am happy to tell you Peach State will deliver😀
Well done mate! It looks so much better round! Really cool project
Thank you very much sir.
The table looks great!! I wish I could come take some classes with ya.
Thank you. Come on down to Chattanooga and you can.
If I were close enough!. I'm in south Florida.

Thank you!. I can tell you that I get a different price than others there but I believer retail on that slab was $400
Nice work, as usual. Love the round look. Keep on doin' what you do.
Much appreciated!
Love the table! Nice work! Nano coating is a great topcoat.
Thank you! Yeah I am happy with this product for sure.

Yeah, that would have been a mess for sure lol. I did have plastic all over the floor 😀
Turned out great! I’ll look for it at Woodcraft. I was going down either tomorrow or Saturday anyways. Keep up the good work.
Great. I will also be heading over there Saturday morning as well at some point.
Why didn't you use the cnc to cut the circle?
Well, I could have but when I was doing the flattening I was still not 100% sure which direction I was going to go. The real truth in the end is that I purchased this circle cutting jig over a year ago and had not even opened it lol. So I wanted to get my money out of it.
Been there. Got to try out those new tools.
Saw your table at Woodcraft… looks absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you so much. Sorry I missed you, I was there this morning as well. I'll be there next Saturday teaching a class.
Ok. I’ll see if I can swing by after my grandsons soccer game
