    Buddy!!! Killer table! Great choices. Circular shape was a game changer! The rectangle would have looked off, and cost you WAY MORE in epoxy, too. I love that you did the Black bottom epoxy followed by the clear on top. The contrast was evident- even in the video. Gorgeous piece.

    That table is gorgeous! Great call on going round with it. I was kinda worried about the floating piece of wood in the center when it was rectangular, but it looks awesome now. Great work!

    Beautiful table. I wish I had a hardwood store like that down in my area, although, I would probably spend more time there than actually working. Lol.

    Great table!! Does resin need ceramic coating? Does it help the sheen or protection? Once again awesome build!

    • @stlwoodworking
      @stlwoodworking  9 місяців тому

      Thank you so much. So the answer is no and yes 😀It doesn't need it however, yes it adds protection to it and I would suggest it on anything that will see a lot of traffic. that includes other finishes as well and not just resin.

    Great job Greg. Can't go wrong with black on maple in my opinion. Just gorgeous. If it's not in bad taste to ask, how much did you end up paying for that spalted piece?

    • @stlwoodworking
      @stlwoodworking  9 місяців тому

      Well, I could have but when I was doing the flattening I was still not 100% sure which direction I was going to go. The real truth in the end is that I purchased this circle cutting jig over a year ago and had not even opened it lol. So I wanted to get my money out of it.

    Wow.. a round, black epoxy, river table…. How original. 🙄
    These small UA-camrs should really try doing stuff that’s new and interesting, instead of constantly just trying to be a copy of Blacktail Studio. It’s so cringey.

      Thank you for the feedback. First I will say if you find something to do that has not already be done then you will have a channel that will shoot to the top.😀
      Second, thank you very much for the compliment of thinking of Cam over at @blacktailstudio when watching my video. I have learned a lot of tricks and tips from him. As a matter of fact, I just finished a class where he was one of the instructors. I'm flattered 😍
