Evening everybody, new videos will start coming out tomorrow (tuesday). I had an issue with my computer, where no matter what I did the audio wouldn't record... which ruined my reaction for Seven Bridge Road, and Yours :(. At least I caught it... but I'm really upset about it. I thought Seven Bridge Road was fantastic. If that was my first Home Free video, I would have been instantly hooked. The way they layer their ranges through the video was nothing short of a master class in chemistry, and vocals in general. Problem is fixed now, and all I have to do is go through all of the requests for this week!
Absolutely, and I think I mentioned on another comment elsewhere that I really enjoy when talented musicians let go of ego and show their entertainer, and showman side. It adds to a stage performance.
I was wondering about his Korean. It wasn't fantastic, but he definitely sold it well. And I was going to ask who picked up the beat box, because there was a shot where it looked like it could have been Rob or Austin, and I couldn't tell.
I love watching people see this for the 1st time! I cracked up when you said that you were broken! Because, of course, I knew what was directly ahead in the video. You will never again hear the words "Two Things" in the same way again. I would recommend All About That Bass and Hillbilly Bone for some other great choices. Thanks for keeping your reactions real! ❤
Aha, it was a blast for sure. I was not expecting that. It made for a good moment. I feel like All About That Bass is killing it in the requests. Haven't gone through all of them yet, but its likely coming in the next couple of days. Thanks for the comment, and I try. I think its easy to spot when a reaction isn't real or genuine. Sometimes they can feel scripted, and choreographed, and it just loses the feeling of connection with the song/video for me. Which is why even the videos I flubbed, and made mistakes I didn't catch before uploaded, I stuck with them instead of re-recording them and doing them right.
I love the hilarious Whip Nae Nae. I have laughed until my stomach hurts. Story time with Tim, Green Eggs and Ham is also a favorite. When I watch Never Gonna Give You Up I hear “2 things, Austin you are not allowed to wear skinny jeans for this video. Also everyone bust out your best 80s dance moves”!
Its been a pretty good rabbit hole to fall down so far. When I started getting in to the more Country stuff, I was a little iffy. But You all have been pretty good at pointing me in the right direction. And I haven't been disappointed.

I told y'all I was fine with persistence. If either of these songs somehow have more requests than All About The Bass, from just your comments, I wouldn't be too shook. And might even be greatfull. I like Trainor, and I think I even like that song a little bit... but it's right up there on the list of songs that have been overplayed and over-covered. AND PMJ set the bar for covering that song.
@@DanFromHali I gotcha, but persistent I will remain. All about that bass, funny. But I am voting for Heaven and/or What we ain't got ( even if you just listen and don't react, it's THAT good!) Love your reactions, you see much that others miss!(how's that for buttering up a host?!?! Lol)

So glad you reacted to some funny shenanigans! I needed this today. Loved your reaction to Tim and Rob! That was too funny! Then you came back and you got “broken” again! lol These guys are the real deal! They are so entertaining all the way around! Hopefully next year they’ll expand their tour and can make it back up to Canada and maybe you can catch a live show. It is an experience! Guilty pleasures or not, those songs made a killing for a reason. I can diss Bieber all day long, but he has more talent than I will ever have. Their choices were really fun, and I think a good reflection of their personality.
I know from things you've said that you're a fan of Adam Rupp (who isn't? He's amazing) so you might want to watch a video taken by an audience member. It's called BHH WWTWWS. Great reaction! These guys are so fun. So down to earth. They are guys who it seems we all would just like to hang out with. Thanks for reacting to this.
Yeah thats what I feel too. I mentioned on another comment, that I like a group, or any artist that can let go of ego and perfection, and show their fun, entertainer side. I appreciated this.
Hi Dan, two things: First, thank you for your videos. I stumbled upon your channel yesterday and it brings me so much joy. I‘m at home recovering from surgery and you brightened my day, all around the globe in a tiny village in Germany. Second, I want to suggest two videos that are not often suggested and almost never done by reactors. But I think they are gold. Do Lil red riding hood, ideally the Russel Wolff Production video. It‘s from a patreon party the guys did in 2016, I think and it is both hilarious and vocally stunning. The second one I want to recommend ist Stand by me from Tim‘s birthday bash. I think you find it under Tim Foust and friends. His guests are awesome and he does some truely mindblowing things during that song. And yes, Tim is my favourite, but they are all beyond great. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and emotions with us and the entertainment.
I got both of those on my list now, Steffi. Thanks for coming by. I actually started this channel after recovering from some major oral surgery. I know the pains of surgery too well. I also love Germany, I was lucky enough to spend some time there after I graduated highscool. My friend's parents invited me to stay with them in Hamburg, and got to see a fair amount of his Country. Beautiful Country, and probably the cleanest and friendliest place I've ever been.
Lil' Red Riding Hood is such a fun one - there's an audio only version that is a cleaner performance, but for sheer fun and chemistry you can't beat the Patreon Party version.
Have you seen their Country Fried Pop Medley? There are so many video's to chose from like Castles On The Hill, Thank God I'm A Country Boy, Can't Stop The Feeling, and so many more.
ua-cam.com/video/3R6IYh9CDOw/v-deo.html I sure have seen it Cindy! Thanks for the requests, I am going to be going through the requests later. I think one way or another Castles on The Hill will be coming soon. It's a favorite of mine, so I'll be doing that regardless. The others are probably coming soon as well.
This is actually the first song after intermission, not an encore. They usually do a 15-20 minute intermission during each concert. It’s a lot of work singing that long without much of a break.
This is just their break during sets to be silly and relate to the crowd. They really try to get the crowd going. Wait until you see the video of Tim singing Your Man live and Honey I’m Good live. Even though it’s by someone’s cell phone, you get how low that Tim goes.
I haven't reacted to Pentatonix, purely because I've already listened/watched most of their stuff, and I prefer to have a genuine first time reaction to a video. Another reactor's reaction video to their 90s Dance Medley is one of the things that pushed me to finally start this channel. I was going to do a review video of that, but I didn't think it was their strongest video/song, and I had a fair amount of critique for it (I actually recorded it, and didn't upload it)... not their singing, but some of the creative choices. I felt like Mitch could have killed some of the solos that Kirstin was given, instead of being saddled with all of the songs La-da-de-da-da-di-da-do moments (though his moments he did get were great). I will be doing more Pentatonix as the channel grows, and have specifically not listened to any of their Christmas stuff (or Home Free's) so I can have a bunch of Holiday music to listen to, later in the year. Oh, and welcome to the channel Suzanne! Glad to have you :D
@@DanFromHali If the Hali in your name means Halifax then they have a concert scheduled in your area. I'm certain it will be rescheduled due to COVID but look for tickets when they have a new date.
They are absolutely hilarious live. I'm a concert addict and have seen them more times than I should admit to. If they are ever in your area you have to see them.
@@DanFromHali You didn't seem to be getting it in the very beginning. It was a tongue in cheek thing. I didn't want you to have a negative opinion of them
I love Home Free more than you can even imagine! Sorry for any problem in communication and/or translation! I requested that you listen to Austin do his version of " Unchained Melody" but you you would not do it because you don't like the song.i asked you to try it anyway because since he has a way of so
Sorry for any problem in communication/translation between us. I requested you to listen to Austin in "Unchained Melody" but you refused and said that you don't like the song
Cont- I asked you to please listen because it is Austin after all. Even though you don't like the song you should be able to to respect and appreciate his performance. It's really beautiful! Also would you please react to Austin in"Let's Stay Together" by the very talented Al Green? Austin is amazing in both! I'm not trying to make you mad at me or upset you. I'm a grey haired older lady who has heard a massive amount of great music over the years. I just want you to hear these great performances as well. Perhaps you could listen to some of his original songs as well. Thank you!
So I re-recorded a reaction to Your Man, but I didn't like the result because I had already heard them do it. I will be doing a live reaction request video at some point after I hit 1000 subs. That might be a good one to do there.
The idea behind "guilty pleasures" is that (1) this a comedic routine and (2) each of the guys pick a song they like which the other DON'T. You are completely missing the purpose of "guilty pleasures" and I am surprised you didn't get it from the beginning in Tim's monologue.
Now that you have a fairly good knowledge of the boys and their usual roles in their performances - I dare say that you're probably close to "Mayday ready." There's a few surprises in Mayday that will be lost to those who don't know the group. I'm pretty sure you'll pick them up. Prepare to have your mind BLOWN.
Well surprises have been spoiled for me already, but I enjoy the song anyway! I'm going to be doing my reaction as part of a live reaction video to celebrate 1000 subs, whenever that happens!
Wait, you're trying to seriously react to the comedy relief portion of a show? They didn't warn you. Well, there you go. But yes, Rob is really good on his part...if he wants to branch out to bubblegum, he's on. I think it's kind of cool that the guys are shameless when they do doofus. They've dragged Chance into it, too; I suspect kicking and screaming. Bless their hearts.
Absolutely, Comedy deserves reaction too. Besides, professionals like Home Free, aren't going phone in a musical performance just because it's meant for comic relief. Very worth the reaction.
@@laurah3152 Yeah, I called him Rupp. You had me as confused as I had you I think. But I also have 10000000000000% called people by their wrong name in the past.
@@DanFromHali hey Dan! I think it's kinda neat you bypass the whole "Adam Rupp/Adam Chance" confusion by calling our HF beatboxer by his last name 😃 Unfortunately, now you have the "Rupp vs. Rob" confusion, not to mention the "Chris Rupp vs. Adam Rupp" confusion in any videos prior to mid-2016 😆😅🤪 But don't worry...us Home Fries are a congenial lot when we love a great reactor (that's you, by the way 🥰) and will catch on soon enough! Speaking of the older vids, I reccomend you react to their often overlooked but cool as heck cover of "American Kids" ...and watch for Tim's cheeky smiles right before he goes subsonic 😁
@@DiamondRioFan1 right! And i get some people find it jarring. I used to, when I first started watching them. But by the end of the video, you have stuff to bring up and you might forget.
You don't seem to have understood that this was a skit. Having a sense of humour might help you appreciate the band better. None of this is designed to be taken seriously - could you not see that? Jeez. And I'm not sure why you had to start by saying (in a very sour and malicious way) that Austin's early stuff was bad, when there is no early solo work by Austin. Do you mean that you don't like the band's early work? If so, why not say so?
No... I understood that very well, I also understood, however that if I was going to do a reaction video to this, that I had to actually react, and not just laugh for five minutes. Part of doing a reaction video, involves recognizing that UA-cam and copyright law still says that our videos are kind of a grey area, and that we have to break up reaction videos with conversation. So as much as I knew that this was for humor, and found it funny, I also had to find something to talk about, while wanting to be different from what other Reactors were doing, and I figured that this was the approach. I appreciate the band just fine, and I have a great sense of humor. But, you know, its fine if my channel isn't what you are looking for. I don't care if you don't like what I do, and I have absolutely zero interest in being part of an echo chamber. I will never just do what everybody else is doing. That doesn't interest me.
Okay. I know that, I don't know why people commented thinking I didn't get that. But here's the thing. Nobody is going to go on stage and go out of their way to perform poorly, even if it's for comedy or parody. Which is why as a reactor, even if the performance is meant for comedy, I'm still reacting to the music.

Yeah thats what I feel too. I mentioned on another comment, that I like a group, or any artist that can let go of ego and perfection, and show their fun, entertainer side. I appreciated this.
Hi Dan, two things:
First, thank you for your videos.
I'm broken, that broke me.....wait.....nope......hahahahahaha
This is actually the first song after intermission, not an encore. They usually do a 15-20 minute intermission during each concert. It’s a lot of work singing that long without much of a break.
Oh, well thank you for the correction. Much appreciated, Jack!
it is a comody go with the flow
This is just their break during sets to be silly and relate to the crowd. They really try to get the crowd going. Wait until you see the video of Tim singing Your Man live and Honey I’m Good live. Even though it’s by someone’s cell phone, you get how low that Tim goes.
I think i actually did your Man, twice.
That broke me. He paused 6 seconds too soon.
See, I told you. FUNNY, FUNNY, FUNNY.
They cut off the video before you could hear Tim say that Adam had learned Korean to sing that song.
I bet there were a lot of people who fell out of their chairs with that song.
Austin is wearing the shirt he wore in the Ring of Fire
It's time to go to your room, Dan.
Have you watched their cover of WHEN A MAN LOVES A WOMAN?
I have not, but I will be.
@@DanFromHali You will not regret, Austin just slays this one. Truly a supreme effort !!!!
Love the reaction. First time here. I'm a Home Fries but also a Pentaholic. Ever reacted to Pentatonix?
Tim is an excellent raconteur. Lots of stories.
I can tell!
Such a fun reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it.
Hey Dan the joke behind he is no mathematician is he use to be a substitute math teacher lol
This will be fun.
This is more about the comedy than the music obviously....lol.
I 100% And I'm in to it.
You wanna have fun with them, watch the butts remix and Rockin Robin
They must be a hoot to see in person.
I'd love to see them live.
They did let austin Rap on this is how we roll video
it is funnjy
omg man its not intended to be good ,,its hilarious ,,
I know that? But it's still a reaction video, Im not just going to sit back and not react.
Adam learned Korean for rthis and Rob was beatboxing
Great reaction
Thank you Sharon!
That's the point! They said it was bad music!
Bad music to them, doesn't mean it's bad music to everybody.
Thank you!
you need to watch of live version of 9 to 5 they all beatbox
Its coming.
Watch a live version of 9-5 they all beatbox in it. Also another fun one is Tim blows the speaker
So I re-recorded a reaction to Your Man, but I didn't like the result because I had already heard them do it. I will be doing a live reaction request video at some point after I hit 1000 subs. That might be a good one to do there.
You should react to story tome with Tim whip Nae Nae
I think you are ready to react to "Mayday"
It will be coming in a live video coming soon.
The idea behind "guilty pleasures" is that (1) this a comedic routine and (2) each of the guys pick a song they like which the other DON'T. You are completely missing the purpose of "guilty pleasures" and I am surprised you didn't get it from the beginning in Tim's monologue.
Can I ask why you think I missed the point?
Now that you have a fairly good knowledge of the boys and their usual roles in their performances - I dare say that you're probably close to "Mayday ready." There's a few surprises in Mayday that will be lost to those who don't know the group. I'm pretty sure you'll pick them up. Prepare to have your mind BLOWN.
Well surprises have been spoiled for me already, but I enjoy the song anyway! I'm going to be doing my reaction as part of a live reaction video to celebrate 1000 subs, whenever that happens!
yeah rob does not need heavy auto tuning
Wait, you're trying to seriously react to the comedy relief portion of a show? They didn't warn you. Well, there you go. But yes, Rob is really good on his part...if he wants to branch out to bubblegum, he's on. I think it's kind of cool that the guys are shameless when they do doofus. They've dragged Chance into it, too; I suspect kicking and screaming. Bless their hearts.
Absolutely, Comedy deserves reaction too. Besides, professionals like Home Free, aren't going phone in a musical performance just because it's meant for comic relief. Very worth the reaction.
After intermission...
Vocal percussion/beatbox=ADAM
(you keep saying "Rob", lol, tho
Rob wl bbox if it's Adam's turn to
sing)😊
@Annemay Seyfried I thought Dan said "Rob" the first time too (in a previous reaction) but he's actually saying "Rupp"! 😃
Please react to Austin's video for Unchained Melody before you do When a Man Loves a Woman
Tim Foust is a nut, but in a good way.
I wanted to say something similar in one of my reactions aha. He really is.
All of their songs for the guilty pleasures are bad....they're supposed to be
you should wait til the end b4 giving your reaction
No thank you
@@DanFromHali very good!!! you watch a reaction video FOR THE REACTION!! if you want to watch the video uninterrupted, watch the original video. :)
@@DiamondRioFan1 right! And i get some people find it jarring. I used to, when I first started watching them. But by the end of the video, you have stuff to bring up and you might forget.
you are not getting the idea
It’s a joke
All their songs were ment to be funny.
Okay. I know that, I don't know why people commented thinking I didn't get that. But here's the thing. Nobody is going to go on stage and go out of their way to perform poorly, even if it's for comedy or parody. Which is why as a reactor, even if the performance is meant for comedy, I'm still reacting to the music.
U just lost a subscriber. They were being funny and u call it trash?
Great reaction
