Tom you’re like the Bane of comic book. We adopted comics, you were born into it lol.
I love hearing your fathers side of things. Very genuine and interesting
I'm liking the videos!. It's always interesting to hear people's stories about how they got in to comics.
Great video!! Thanks for sharing Tom!! Good to see your dad and hear how it all began!
Best episode so far. Just hearing you guys talk about living in a building with a comic book store. To me, is more interesting than the comics themselves. Living, working and eventually buying the store is a fascinating story. You also talked about playing Dungeons & Dragons. Besides comics, another geeky past time that I am passionate about. Thank you for sharing.
So cool you and your dad working together back in the day! No wonder you know more than we all forgot!
Awesome you started out living in a comic store! I spent my formidable early years in the basement apt of a mortuary where my dad worked! Lol! God bless unconventional childhoods!
Great video tom!
I just started following you recently, because I’m getting back into comics and was thinking about starting a business. Your fathers story really connected with me. I’m 40 years old now and also Puerto Rican. I actually went through a similar discovery into comics while bouncing back and forth from the island. I really appreciate you guys sharing your story. Today I subscribed and look forward to going through more of your content. Boriqua!
Hey Tom, congrats on another great video. Your dad is awesome man. Keep the videos coming. Definitely looking forward to hear more of your comic stories.
.daniel_ thanks for the kind words! We had fun and have a lot more stories to tell 👀
Thanks, man. There is more coming. Stay tuned.
Wow, this is awesome. You should be doing these authentic conversations with good people more often.
What a brilliant video! Excellent to hear from your Dad, who IS the coolest Dad ever, by the way!!!
A fellow Boricua Wepa! New sub here going through a bunch of videos. I'm loving the channel.
So cool, I live in Puerto Rico! Really great to see a "Boricua" make these awesome videos!!! Keep up the good work!!! 👍
Mayaguez!
Awesome show! Thank you!
I like your 1990s Justice League mug, I have the same one in my classroom.
Been watching your stuff for the last year and only now have I learned this man is your dad.
Wow that's so cool to jus step into a comic shop from ur kitchen! Love this whole story
Very enjoyable video. You’re starting to feel like family, Tom.. 👍
Awesome video thanks for sharing
Dude, great story, but props to your dads wife, she is the unsung hero lol 👍
Indeed. Without her none of this would have happened.
Great story thanks for sharing this great experience
mob 7gz thank you for your support! We had fun making it
More stories with your dad. I’m riveted.
I did not know you originally lived in Buffalo. As a fellow Buffalonian that is super awesome. I didn't collect back then but I am sure I remember the shop.
This explains so much!!
Great video!
🙏 thank you for your support friend!
Great episode
Tom you Lived the dream, living in a comic book store! So the Billy Bateson in me is super jelly, an apprapo comparison. Since my Dads fav. Was Captain Marvel SHAZAM.
Lol i can imagine a bunch of guys playing magic, D&D, and eating chili all night. My FNM spot smells horrible enough already.
Love this channel
Jorge Ortiz 🙏 doing it for you bro!
Holy crap!! Got the same cup as your dad..awesome
Love this session with your dad, Tom. Moral of the story: Do not read "Sandman." And your dad let you play Resident Evil 2? Awesome dad. Loves comic books, too.
cool coffee mugs!
Brings your father back on the show, he’s the real deal.
This is so damn cool man! Ya look so much like your pops! (Like youl ever read this lol) :)
This was a cool story man I wish my dad was cool like that lol
Comic Fam!!
So your Dad is Puertorican? Wow that's very cool; I am Puertorican lol
So this is the origin of PR Fam.
I was debating on where the Garcia came from, not really a popular last name currently. Unless the second last name is Rivera or Pagan.
Are you into video gaming too, or just comics only? I know the retro gaming scene is huge. Wish comic community was as big!
I still can't for the life of me remember if I actually have tmnt #1. You would think as a collector that I would know this. LOL
Daniel Bracken I don’t blame you friend, we’ve had ton of books pass through our hands we can’t remember either lol
Instant like all the way from 🇵🇷
Josué Muñiz Puertorro!! De que parte?! We’re from Mayaguez. Someday we’ll tell you the story of how we hung out with Frankie Ruiz. : )
The GTFO Podcast opposite side of the island San Juan! I was born in Moca, Puerto Rico. I’ll certainly be willing to listen to that Frankie Ruiz story!
Josué Muñiz i lived in Moca for a year. 87ish.
About a year before I was born, lol.
Was there really anything in those cups?
Vodka.
Was the second camera a laptop?
And at 200$ a mnth wth 😱 I'm dead lol
OMG if that existed today! So much I want to say but my son, daughter and I would just love it!
Is this an episode of the Big Bang Theory from alternate reality?
You lived in Buffalo?! What was the shop?
Flight into Fantasy. There were two of them, one in Elmwood and one in Clinton. We lived behind the on Clinton.
