تمتاز رأس الخيمة بثقافتها الأصيلة وبتاريخها العريق الممتد لسبعة آلاف سنة، في هذه الحلقة من "وجوه وأماكن" نتعرف على حياة عالمة الأنثروبولوجيا الإسبانية إينوسنتا يورت وزيارتها الأولى لرأس الخيمة في 1984، حين بدأت بحثها في التقاليد الإماراتية، وذلك خلال إقامتها مع عائلتها في قرية الساعدي وعيشهم في ضيافة قبيلة الخواطر، وبعد تقاعد زوجها، قرر الزوجان الاستقرار في رأس الخيمة، حيث ساهمت في زراعة التين الإسباني في جبل السحاب.
Ras Al Khaimah’s authentic culture is steeped in more than 7,000 years of history. In this episode of Faces & Places, Spanish anthropologist Inocenta Ewart looks back on her first visit to Ras Al Khaimah in 1984 when she began her research into traditional Emirati customs. She describes her “beautiful” life in the village of Saadi where her young family was embraced by the local Al Khawater tribe. When her husband retired, the couple returned to live in Ras Al Khaimah where Mrs. Ewart later cultivated Spanish figs on Jebel Al Sahab.
