Why does everyone say that "Did" is in the first word of each line of the chorus? They do not say the word "Did." I actually had the original vinyl record of this album when I was a kid, and back in the good old days the records had the lyrics to every song on the back of the album cover. And there is no "did" families really bow their heads to pray. "Did daddies really never go away.
