Ah, yes! My favorite game of the series. Never got to play the original games until my 20s, when I got the Mega Man Anniversary Collection on the PS2 for my birthday in 2005. Loved this game above all others. Beat this one and MM1 on the same disc within a few months. Finally beat 2 and 4-6 thanks to the Nintendo eShop copies for the 3DS earlier this year. Either way, this remix is awesome. Reminiscent of both the original and the Mega Man X SNES sound font.
While this personally sounds closer to Mega Man X 2 instruments, I think I prefer the way this sounds to what I was imagining with Mega Man X 1 instruments. Either way, I think you did an amazing job!! I'm absolutely hopeful that someday we can get Mega Man 3 Wily Stage 3 like this...I'm gladly patient! I'm just impressed with what you're doing so far
The bass just slaps! This is more in the style of X2, mostly with the tones in that game that weren't present in X1, but this is an absolute banger, along with the Snake Man remix
