I had to install the Alarmy App, and set it so that it will only turn off when I take a picture of the light in the bathroom. Then I get in the shower immediately and fully wake up there. If I wander out into the living room I'll sit down and then won't make it to the shower until much later in the day and my whole morning is shot.
Screen time is my kids’ reward for being completely ready for school, dressed, breakfasted, teeth done, bags ready. Then they’re allowed their screens until the “shoes alarm” goes off. They know these expectations and because they are keen to maximise their allowed screen time, they are always ready super fast. They’re also not allowed to set their alarms before 7am so there’s no chance of them missing out on sleep because of this.
Handy tip** Elasticated shoelaces are a thing now if your child doesn't like the velcro shoes. You do them up once (they have a clip normally to keep them done up) & then you can pull them on & off easily even if the shoes are a little tight. I have them on a pair of my shoes that are comfy when on but getting them on & off was really tricky, so much easier now ! 👍
Same here with the being early and setting a million alarms. So scared of being late! My other half really doesn't care and sets my nerves on edge when he leaves with so little time 😬
Oh gosh, I really wish I could have the house to myself in the morning but my son wakes between 3-5.30am every morning and if the chance that he sleeps beyond this then he is hyper sensitive to our noise and wakes as soon as he hears us moving (even tiptoeing!) We balance it between the two of us. I’m the night owl and do stuff I’d do in the morning in the evening so I get my own time/space and cover the ‘night shift’ aka pre 5.30/6. My husband gets up with the kids then and sorts breakfast etc I can get some more sleep! It’s not ideal but makes the best of not ideal situation!

Am so glad I'm not the only one that sets more than one alarm in the morning! 😂
