Very nice review. I love the Z1 pro shape / weight. Modded it with Huano Silent Brown Yellow dot / Kaihl Mute Button (yellow dot) and BTL Glas skates (GPX). Also a 150mah battery (-3g). Really like it now.
@@anders_4k There are a lot of good tutorials here on UA-cam for mouse switch soldering. Which switch is personal preference. I like really light to press switches and silent ones. So the Huano silent brown (yellow dot) are perfect for mouse main buttons. scroll wheel down and side buttons are the kaihl silent yellow. I use this for desktop and RTS games. I have another Z1 pro modded with Omron d2f-01f switches (light to press but still clicky, not that loud) for FPS games. Because the silent Z1 pro isn't really satisfiying for FPS. There are a few good chanels here testing mouse switches (for example ents or bearded bob).
got a g305 now 4 years ago and it started double clicking after 2 years of use so i returned it and got an orochi v2 but the orochis scroll entirely kicked the bucket after 2 years of use so i guess its time to pick up this bad boy alongside the 4k dongle :) hope it doesnt end up having any problems like my g305 and orochi did
It’s a good mouse for the price, really not too bad! Have you seen the Fantech Aria? It’s closer to the g305 shape, 3395 sensor. No 4k compatibility, though
@@anders_4k ive seen it yeah but since i have no real preference between the shapes of the g305 and orochi i feel the z1 is the better option for me since its closer in shape to the mouse ive been using for the past 2 years :P and i also wanna try out 4k. as a side note if the skates are as bad as you say do you think i should just order corepad skates for it asap? they seem to be the only aftermarket option here in EU at least
Yes, you are right. Many gaming mice these days don’t have those compartments so that they can save weight/be more structurally sound. I prefer mice not to have those compartments
3.5 for the price to performance ratio seems like a pretty good deal! Great review and best of luck with your channel and looking forward to the classic mice you mentioned 🫡
Just picked up the 4k dongle for this, it wont' pair at all. In the software the dongle comes up as a 4k dongle for the Z2 .. . nothing i do will pair it. I press the left middle and right mouse buttons, the mouse goes into pairing mode. I hit pair in the software, and it fails every damn time.
@@SaltedSlug85 interesting. I remember I had some problems with my pairing too, I can’t remember how I got it to work it was forever ago. But if it says the Z2 dongle they may have sent you the wrong thing
@@anders_4k That is what I thought too, but the software says it's for the Z1 pro and Z2. I looked up the dongle and I think they use the same 4k dongle too because I didn't see another model. Maybe it's for the best anyways. My other mouse that has 8k, 4k, 2k polling causes game stutters anyways. I suppose I shouldn't expect anything different from this one if I got the dongle to pair. Still, I'd like to get it to pair and try but no dice. I'm not seeing anywhere to update My firmwares, but also assume since both the mouse and dongle were recently purchased they might not need updating. Seems like zaopin probably hasn't updated much.
Is it cheaper? I feel like they are roughly the same price. But yeah that’s a really good mouse, I like the shape but only tried the cheaper R1SE. Build quality on it is bad, but it’s good on the pro
@@anders_4k the r1 se is just good for like internet cafe shop cuz its cheap and decent for gaming not really good for try hard gamers who want to feel no issues (Im currently using the r1 pro which I bought for 30.70$
Holy shit, the shout out! ❤🙏🏻 You nailed the review.. Thorough and concise at the same time (I gotta take notes 🤓). Looking forward to the next ones
Had to let em know! And thank you man I’m excited to make more. Gotta add some more in depth stuff like you for sure
Great review man good quality production!
Thanks Bryan! 🙏🏻

Thank you! Thats super sick. Never done a switch swap before and I really want to with a mouse at some point, don’t know which switches though.

Ayeeeeeee really lovin this mice. The specs are in par with higher end mouse but comes in a cheaper price
It’s really good! I def recommend it
Bought this, and really happy that i did
Nice! Let me know how you like it
My copy of the mouse has fantastic stock skates. 😊
the 4k dongle is also magnetic 0.0, u can just stick it somewhere metal and hang it like crazy
That’s so sick I had no idea thank you for the tip 🙏🏻

seems like this Z1 Pro doesn't have a compartment on the mouse to store the receiver like in other wireless mice. Am I right?

Thank you Volta! Definitely a great valued mouse
i dont understand why the orochi shape gets more love than the g203 shape
I like the G203 shape better for sure. Really wish there was a wireless clone with industry standard specs

This started double click on my 5th month of use sucks now
Good to know, I definitely didn’t use it for that long so didn’t get to experience it’s longevity.
try vxe r1 pro(cheaper, has decent software, and has similar specs)
