So happy that this game finally came out! Booted it up and got killed in a doorway... perfect!

@@ChristIceman and yet theyve still not fixed the inhuman AI accuracy and reaction speed that has completely ruined the games
The game is meant to be a sim ya dum dums. Watch some body cams you get one tapped in real life. It only takes 1 bullet MOST of the time.
As someone that doesn't really have a group of friends that are really tactical... it now looks viable as a solo player game.
Yeah, it's definitely viable as a solo player, but having a group is probably better. I've been playing for a few hours since the patch dropped and the new AI is very good for the most part.
It's just a little immersion breaking to constantly fight junkies and gang thugs who are all former tier one operators.
the ai teammates know more proper cqb than 90% of public lobbies lmfaoo, and they over extend far less too
Was gonna say id rather have the ai than randoms ive played with playing it like its a cod game and raging cause they die quick@@jgsource552
@@Hammer1987guns aren’t hard to use
@@beltempest4448 Depends entirely on what you're trying to do.
If you just want to point the gun in a direction and pull the trigger, then yes, that is not hard to do.
But lets say you want to round a corner, identify a hostile target far down a dimly lit and smoke filled hallway, and immediately plug that moving target with several accurate shots to the head, while you are moving and taking return fire.
Now that is something entirely different. That is the kind of shooting that takes years of practice and experience to master.
And there absolutely are levels in the game where the enemies can justifiably have such skills. But some random druggie or gangster who is barely able to operate their weapon without shooting themselves should not suddenly turn into John Wick the moment SWAT shows up.
The vent in the streamers room is such a great little detail. Not only is the that visual storytelling because the guys food plate is there, so they can feed the guy without having him have to leave, but you can also use that in gameplay by queuing a command on the AI on the main door, then tossing a flash in the vent while they execute the command.
AI can crawl through them too
The cartel tunnels are one of the most intense gaming experiences I’ve played and watched. Can’t help but respect the people who do that stuff in real life on a daily basis. Scary stuff
_daily?_ how many high class criminal organizations do you think get raided _daily?_

@@CennoSoldiergood job being a smart ass bud👍 you know full well they were being facetious.
@@ninjirealactually alot do. If you think about all the criminal organisations and all the police and everything all around the world.
The storytelling through the levels is probably one of my favorite things about this game, there’s so much to it when you stop and look around.
TRUEEE!!! environmental storytelling is such a fitting element for a tactical fps when its vital for players to analyze its surroundings or spatial awareness
If you've never played SWAT 4, you should check out that game too! It's an oldie but very similar, some super creepy environmental storytelling in some of that game's levels as well.
Man, even the gas station map made me sad
There is also reported phone calls on the tablet that tell the story of the mission too🤙🏽
Big time
About the flashlight on the left: Some time ago, the Surefire tac lights that were popular had a thumb switch right on the back. So if you didn't use a pressure switch, or you did, but didn't want to bet your life on it, you'd put the light on the left so that your left thumb could toggle it. No idea if that's some kind of CQB big brain shit, or just how we did it.
I think every unit has their SOPs for them too
Garand Thumb stated he liked having his light on the left side for certain suppressor builds, because if he had to sling his rifle to get to his sidearm, either due to malfunction or reload, the light would hit his leg and keep the suppressor from contacting his pants, which would sometimes burn holes in them.
Sling catch. On the right it catches on the sling pretty much every time. Same with laser, larger laser housing will grab the sling every time
@@DemothHymsidethis is the real reason. You are correct on why everyone now does last side. If you have to grab side arm, your main is hot as shit and you don’t want that hitting your leg. It will have you flinch and lose focus at the wrong time for sure
@@hung8969 This and the heat issue are not things I'd thought about, but we were all onboard with 2-point slings that pivot from where the buffer tube contacts the receiver, which solved a lot of these issues. Also, no suppressors or long barrels for us to worry about because we weren't that cool ;)
Even if you don’t like tactical shooters or this game it’s still a win for all gamers! Smaller studios that put out quality content/updates as this, slowly make bigger studios step the hell up! Here’s to raising the bar! 🍻
This game can not be considered fully released in this state, ai is still overpowered and this should not be the case in any full release. The devs just worried about the cashing out part, and to jump the price so much then game sstill needs alot of attention, polishing and tweaking and then modss on top of it all. Come on bruh this is ludacris imagine call of duty or any other game where the ai shoots through walls, knows where you are at all times and one taps you.. this can not be real. Do not get me wrong the game can be fun and works at times and other times it is straight ass. The devs really need to fix this but then again we have people like you kissing their asses telling them shit is a filet mignon instead. tsk tsk
@@viperpit-lr2rp😭😭 implying that cod is a good game, idk about all that tho I haven’t run into ai shooting through walls, I’ve only been playing like two months tho, is that something you run into often?
@@viperpit-lr2rp why do you talk or end your comments sounding like an anime villain? "tsk tsk"? who says that?
@@DocMariocall of duty is a great game. Regardless of how multiplayer turns out each year.
This is a PvE game, just like call of duty campaign. The AI always knows where you are and will wallbang you with headshots all the time. I even tried to not move at all from the spawn, like literally spawn and touch nothing yet the ai managed to somehow know my exact position without me making a sound. They shoot at you before you see them on corners, you shoot them yet they don't flinch and only stop shooting when dead or heavily injured. Non lethal weapons are beyond broken, you can empty 8 shots in even a civilian and they will still refuse to cooperate. Audio is also trash, you are a elephant but all "suspects" are light as a feather. Door jams don't even work, you put one but the door still opens. Grenade lunchers are a curse, they are way too powerful(like a canon), everything always bounces even when shot at 90° it will bounce back to you when it should get stuck in the wall since that luncher has so much pressure behind it. Breaching shotgun and battering ram have no use at all. You can break a door with whatever you want (explosives)or simply pick the lock. Something I don't get with that c2 explosive is how does it not kill you when using to breach since you are standing right behind yet it annihilates everyone in the room.flash bangs only concus for 1 second then it's terminator ai again. 90% of the guns are copy pasted with the same attachments and same stats. There is a bazillion varient of 5.56 weapons, all are the same pathetic gun except for looks(which is awful). They brag about weapon customization when you can't even zoom in or zoom out with the big scopes making them yet again useless. Suppressors have no downside, there is no reason to use a muzzle break or compensator other then looks (again). Muzzle flash is way too exaggerated, you can't see anything while shooting (unless you take the op suppressor duh). Even in pitch dark the terminator ai still sees you when you barely see them with your nvg cause it's not that clear. I can go on even more cause the list is so long. The most basic thing is that you can't use weapons from a suspect when you are out of ammo. No snipers(but we somehow get 8×scopes that aren't actually 8×) which means most likely never a map with long engagements. I didn't play 1.0 yet but I'm sure a million percent the "new" guns are just more copy pasted.
@@antoniohagopian213 I have never been shot through walls nor has anyone I play with, in fact as long as we’re quite we always have the upper hand when breaching a new room, once again you are shit at the game and that’s on you
I tried the college shooter mission solo and had the EXACT same reaction - completely missed the part about the bombs. Found one by mistake - which is how I even realised there were bombs - and diffused it, then failed to find the other in time.
How? You have more than 15 minutes to disarm them, the map is not that big and you can hear them beeping from half the map away
Nothing like breach and clearing with the homies- *Pointman proceeds to get slumped by an AK-platform*
10/10 would drink my PTSD to oblivion again. Thanks Drewski 🔥🗿
I actually thought that streamer level was gonna be about someone being falsely swatted, the reality was much more grim than I had imagined, good on the devs for the immersion
If you note the messages on the not-Discord chat, you'll find that this kicks off a certain mission chain.
I think it was a false Swat call, but just that there were things discovered along the way. The story was he supposedly murdered his mother and was holding his roommate hostage.
They didn’t know about the crypto mining, and notice his roommate doesn’t seem to be held hostage at all.
Instead the streamer is discovered to have wrongful photos and owning the crypto mining rigs.
Was rather annoying tbh was expecting some fucked up shit
Or a swatting but it’s really just well *spoiler*

That level was how I heard about this game
Mind-blowing how this got made
@@crimzonempire4677 What about child trafficking isn't fucked up?
The enemy AI has been improved a whole lot too.
We were doing non-lethal runs last night, and you could tell the AI has improved, blasting a doorway and running off, holding corners and leaving the house to flank around.
even down to the last guy saying nothing because he's "hiding"
IF the AI becomes really smart, in a way that once you are spotted/heard/action kicks off, then they will start on doing their own damage control - danger close perps would prioritise their own survival over watching the hostage, those in nearby rooms would prioritise killing the hostages to help the ones in danger maybe and the ones further away from the action woul debate if killing the hostage is a viable thing - maybe going out to help the others and winning over the officers is better in the long term, and keep the hostage to himself. Or any other combination of behaviours outside of immediate action, flanking, holding rooms etc. I would really like the game to be mostly prepwork, then execution then mitigation/response.
they have perfect aim while sprinting and track you through walls, the ai is broken
Too bad the ron subreddit doesn’t appreciate this due to their hyperfixation on the ai’s ability to aimbot. They are so fucking capable compared to in any other fps game I played
Ready Or Not is really one of those games that creates a good borderline between gameplay and storyline. Every map includes details that the user may not pay much attention to but help change the entire atmosphere. Hopefully more game dev’s catch onto this modern method of creating games…
Couldn’t agree more.
17:02 The chat actually reacts to you walking in front of the camera. Thats really cool
And changes to Fs when shot out :o
Flashlight on left side is usually for those who prefer to use the back-button on their lights. That way the can use their thumb to turn it on and off
Some place the wml on the left side to keep a hot suppressor off of their body/ uniform as well.
An other reason might be to protect the more fragile light (compared to the barrel) by keeping it closer to the body.
I've tried both (right side with cable switch and left side with tail cap) and prefer right. Additional benefit: it reduces light ADs.
Loving the array of voice lines in the different scenes when you are cuffing civilians. Operators telling them that this is protocol, etc, students scared and confused swearing, teachers saying they'll be fine and telling the team to focus on saving the kids.
Absolutely an amazing update. All they need to do is fix that little AI-wall-hack thing, and maybe the flashlights and we may have perfection.
EDIT: OMFG the Diddy Kong Racing theme. I used to play THE FUCK out of that game, as Tiptup the Turtle.
ikr?! He unlocked a core memory with that theme track of sitting in a super large bean bag chair playing it on my super Nintendo 64. Still love Diddy Kong Racing!
3:50 “i hope they dont have a dog” absolutely perfect
So, that raid on the streamer's house is something I'd consider to be something "authentically stereotypical." It's stereotypical that the main suspect has all of this stuff in the first place, but at the same time, the devs clearly did their research when it comes to the stuff it's supposed to be based upon. One of the figurines had a League of Legends vibe, there was a Gunpla model on the desk, the totally-not-D&D rulebook had the right artstyle, and I swear one of the figurines was DDLC's Monika. IIRC, at least one of the devs is a weeb given that the serial number on the 416 is a reference to Girls' Frontline, so I wouldn't be surprised if that person was heavily consulted given how much of it tracks.
Imagine being known in your workplace as the weeb
And then you have armed men in the apartment that are risking their life for said weeb
I think a bunch of the guns have the index numbers of the GFL characters of the same gun as their serial.
There was a One piece statue as well
bro there's even a fursuit in the room next to that streamer room lmao
The level design is what originally caught my eye with this game. The realism is a close second. I gotta hop on and give it a try.
Its not realistic at all every single criminal is a navy seal with a deathwish
@EliPorterMahn well, now they are. Lol. Before this update they didn't seem so insane. Still very much had a death wish most of the time from what I saw though.
@@falcononpcthey were still pretty insane before but they definitely seem more lethal now. The amount of times I round a corner or peek a door just to instantly get domed is crazy

I remember back in the day this was called the Rainbow Six killer. Siege isn't even a tactical FPS anymore 😂
Ubisoft is the Rainbow Six Siege killer
It's been frustrating this patch in coop. Often suspects will ignore pointblank bangs, cs, stinger, and mag dumps without flinching and john wick your entire team with a pistol on our 30th time through the level trying to get above B rank. Had a streamer chase me through the apartment while ignoring my stinger launcher to the chest twice, tank multiple rifle rounds without flinching, and chase me in circles while my two buddies were shooting him. That's aside from game crashes that make everyone have to restart their games before they can reconnect to the lobby, and getting insta-headshot before you can get your gun up or they wall bang you through your armor with perfect accuracy. My buddies and I enjoyed early access, but we were only able to play two nights before everyone rage quit.
Use the No Crack for AI mod. It makes the suspects act like humans instead of terminators. If you disable server checksum, only the host needs to download it.
felt u there.... early access did a number of things better than the 1.0 version of the game. buddies on 3070s and ryzen 7 5800x getting 25~40 fps killed it for me fully. used to get bout 90 smhh
@@lewisjones284 that's really good to know

@@lewisjones284 You should never have to download a mod to fix shit the devs should've fixed in this "1.0" realise
I dont understand why the devs removed mission types for every level. This is was my favorite thing in RoN: there was so much replayablity on the same maps, because you can difuse the bombs, save hostages, deal with baricaded suspects, etc.. now all of it is gone, we have only 1 mission per level.
They mentioned in a patchnote that this was done from limitations and narrative reasons
DUDE!! Yeah exactly. I don't get it too. That was my favorite thing I don't get it and Im soo mad that youtubers don't even mention it they just hype this up so much. They actually took something out like WHY ????? IM SOO FCKN DISAPPOINTED...I thought that we will get more situations for all the missions NOT LESS !! Plus the AI is somehow broken...they shoot thru walls and sh*t...It looks like they didn't even test it bro...
This is what bothers me as well. It feels like they stripped a huge part of the game. I was very hopeful about this launch but ended up leaving negative review because this is simply a decision that I cannot support. I truly hope they reconsider.
@@Niczu. yep, devs just cut out 75% of the game. No surprise that size of the game changed from 100gb to 60
Im pretty sure only like 5 maps had a second mission type so I dont think its that big of a deal, at least since I have got the game I heard maybe there were more mission types a year or more ago idk.
As a solo player, seeing the improvements to AI and squad management has me very pumped
But they still aimbot through obscure windows and walls
@@AJRcoin progress not perfection lol
@@AJRcoin don't forget that it's still an indie company, even if it doesn't seem like it
Same man, like no flak on void, they did amazing before 1.0 but I disliked the AI so much I downloaded a mod that disables them then just started soloing missions, but I tried the gas station last night and oh my god they’re so much more improved
Still broken
Drewski, the light being on the left of the rifle is often used as a safeguard for if you have to drop your rifle for your pistol, the light will hit your leg before your suppressor. Some people (like myself) tend to just prefer it on the right anyway.
I have been in the army infantry for 14 years with many deployments. I am no navy seal but I was told as a newer private that it is smarter to keep light on the right of the rifle if you are a right handed shooter due to people instinctively aiming for the light. If it is on the left of a right handed shooter that puts it center mass chest shot. I didn’t know if I should believe that when I was told that in 2009 by an e-7 ranger instructor but I have seen things in deployment that indicates that may be the case sometimes. Just always stuck with me idk
@@alanluscombe8a553 People do tend to aim right at the light in a panic situation, at least that's what I learned playing paintball and airsoft. I like the FBI method of holding the flashlight way above my head, its like "Yes... By all means, please shoot at the light."
I’ve never been more impressed by a game in my life the amount of fun and tactics you can have with this game is incredible. It makes me want to get a pc even more than I already wanted to. I also love the story telling you get from just looking around.
The theater lighting is probably done by filtering the volumetric lighting coming from the projector through a black and white alpha mask, which is the photograph, or a low resolution gaussian version of that, pretty neat! Love the videos!
That's cool, so its one of those things where its a work smarter not harder kind of situation lol. Worked out very well.
Yeah, you can take the photos and do some camera based translation on it and use it as the mask for the volumetric. It will be a good enuf approximation.
Who are you? Who is so wise in the ways of science?
Just a game artist@@johndoe-uy8hv
8:29 I can tell you for a fact that you do this effect by placing a strong light where the projector is, have it set to emit the texture you are projecting and then add some volumetric effects to catch the light.

This is really common in Insurgency Sandstorm too, enemy AI’s will shoot you from across the map while running away from you full speed with their gun in the air just because they caught a glimpse of you before they turned and ran away. Really hope that’s something they can tweak out as they develop their company and tech more.
you can set the mirror gun to picture-in-picture in settings and it's a pretty small immersive detail iirc swat4 had that
Just played with some buddies and man I love it. The maps and overall atmosphere really does well in simulating real life horrors that can or have happened before. The AI is a huge plus too. I used to make the AI team mates wait outside, but now I enjoy using AI for a team when I can't play with my buddies. They are generally good at clearing rooms and waiting for a safe moments to arrest and bag any evidence. Most games make you sorta do all the work but this game here makes you feel like your part of an actual team.
It's really cool to see the devs do so much! *the amount of detail is greatly impressive in everything*
especially with the storytelling on maps it's impressive along with sound, visuals and gameplay and music and voice acting!
I'm sure everyone looks forward to playing soon though along with the community looking to be great.
Edit: *Also gonna be interesting to see lots of people look at the details on maps while playing and some even analyze them*
i could watch yall play this game for hours upon hours. i play this with my friends on occasion and definitely will be tonight now that 1.0 has dropped but they arent really Tactical FPS Game players so its just "organized" chaos which is fun regardless but has a whole different vibe to them then this.
Would love to see a couple hour video or just the whole recordings from these runs on RoN to play in the background while im working. Keep up the awesome vids my man.
It's so cool to see this game take the old swat games to a whole new level. Also the rpg elements of having to care for your fellow officers is a good dynamic that encourages you to play for the best results because the consequences are your team becoming mentally unstable and ineffective. I wanna hop on again soon.
Thank you for mentioning the OG SWAT games from Sierra. Ready or Not IS great and I love it. But a lot of clueless normies don't even know that it's standing on the shoulders of these classic legends. 👍
I can confidently say that this was a great investment for me. I've already played about 200 hours before the 1.0 and its all singleplayer. Now I'm just literally going crazy because of the 1.0. It is a great step up but it has to be a little bit more cooked tbh, but it is going on a great direction. Devs are cooking.
Is this only singleplayer or also coop/multiplayer?
@@andreagrazianodibenedetto1464 Singleplayer is like a campaign you have to finish missions to unlock more. In Co-Op/Multiplayer you can play any map you desire but there will be no SWAT AI only you and your lobby.
I got this game just before the update came out and, while it does make my PC get a bit toasty, it is a blast to play! It's one of the few shooters I can play without sending my monitor to the great monitor scrapyard of the sky. Also the MCX is my new favourite rifle in game because our CTSFOs use them :D
Great video as always lad, would love to see more Ready or Not content!
I’d be interested in playing this game with proximity chat. I know a huge aspect of the game is the preset callouts directly associated with the instructions you give the AI. But it would be fun to have a mode where it’s proximity chat and fewer preset callouts
I recently just got ready or not and im always stunned at the graphics, like now with the replay mode the screenshots can genuinely fool a lot of people if you add just a tiny bit of post edit
Flashlight on the left side is to avoid having to use pressure-switches, because these tends to fail, most often at the worst of time.
So, staying to tail-cap switches, you either mount it 9" or 12".
12" is also very uncommon but really cool.
Also, it helps mitigating NDs
Old remote switches were absolutely shit, modern ones not so much.
Also light is easier concealed at low ready, as not to π the light, until fire upon exposure.
@@Jewifer333x2 Yeah I thought too, until I had three Unity switch die on me, once at the worst possible time.

Dude, They released this update while I was in Basic. Just got home for the holidays and, JESUS, I booted RON and just fell in love again with this game.
I always loved the game, and with this update its so much better! You should try a full non-lethal run, in campaign (singleplayer) or MP, I think that would be fun to see.
environmental storytelling is tightly compact and dense, and such a fitting element for a slow tactical fps where players had time to analyse its surroundings and how vital it is.
The attention to detail with the 1.0 release is insane. Playing it now is a whole new experience than playing previous versions.
I remember a few years ago when we were talking about this game being SWAT´s sucessor. I´m so happy for what they have already achieved. I hope they keep developing it for a while!
The dockyard was absolutely awesome and terrifying. You are literally walking through an active port with shipping containers being moved around and it’s a maze all the way through. But you have to check containers and in some you find women being trafficked and are told by an ICE agent to shut the doors on them and leave them in there. What’s even worse is when you get to the end there is a secret room built out of shipping containers that I’m sure you can guess what it’s used for, it’s so unbelievably f$#%ed.
That sounds horrible, but really is for their own good, so they won't wander off, and there is a good chance they won't speak english, so good luck explaining them to stay in the container for now. This game really shows some fucked up shit, but i'm glad they do. That's the real world.
They won't wander off? They're starving and near dead. The agent wanted to cover it up. @@MikeLitoris66
Regarding weapon light mounting, I've always mounted on the left, because then the barrel shadow is off to the right instead of directly in front of me. 37:09 the shooter just crying in agony slowly dying is very chilling, i think Void is definitely one of the best dev teams at environmental storytelling
i'm playing this game for a year already and it's really a master piece! I love how hard it can be playing solo alone. It's a great game
I am a lone wolf type gamer. Is it worth getting for me?
It's okay to play alone but you might get bored pretty quick @@MSDGAMEZ
@MrSeth4228 it's better. You can coordinate your team carefully and at a realistic pace rather than everyone rushing in and bullets flying everywhere. Play it carefully with AI teams, learn how best to manipulate them and you'll have a blast. Once you've developed those solo skills you could even start to look for some experienced players to team up with.
this is awesome, we need more of this
Looks like they put a lot of love in all the details of the living rooms. Really awesome!
the streamer room w the chat is dope, also looking forward to AI enhancements. This game gets better every update even if its long awaited.
Ides of March is the bain of my existence. I failed it 13 times in a row.
i thought it was the bain of my exstence until i got to the next mission 😭
At that point maybe they deserve to win. 13 SWAT teams? Just let them go they beat the police.
The grapics are great too. Quality and amount of detail and assets is amazing.
I really appreciate the AI overhaul; my biggest gripe with the earlier versions of the game was how much you had to micromanage your team. It just made it unnecessarily stressful trying to line up breach-and-clear commands while simultaneously keeping your eyes peeled for John Wick's tweaker cousin who could come out of nowhere and flick-shot your entire squad at any moment. It should be way easier to focus on the mission now that you can actually rely on your buddies to watch your back.
Game is so good , I’m currently working on the iron man run, 6 missions in so far no casualties or therapy visits , wish me luck bois
My biggest issue was that the maps felt like action movies rather than the small personal scenes you would arrive on in swat 4. I hope this update added some more grounded maps
Honestly, one of the most visually impressive games I've ever seen! Props to the devs for really bringing this game to life!
I want more of you and those guys clearing levels
Honestly, it looks and feels exactly how I remember the old swat games.
If they fix the bugs and add Ground Branch level of gun customization, is gonna be a master piece
Woah the attention to detail is amazing
No Crack for AI is an essential mod for this game. The suspects are terminators in 1.0
Man the environmental details are really well done.
Yeah it's where most of the game's storytelling happens. It really pays off to slow down and explore rhe details when you can, some really interesting, horrifying and/or tragic stuff in there.
Flashlight location really depends on what you have on your gun, the type of handguard and mounting system you have, and what you are running. Hop and Brass Facts could probably talk your ear off about it.
Night vision changes a lot of things, but if you aren't dealing with night vision, a lot of people will put it on the top rail with it canted to the left so they can activate it with a thumb press and not have to use a pressure switch. As to why no pressure switch it's to avoid having them break and you need to be able to access the switch as you want to be to momentarily turn it on so your thumb needs to be able to press the button while holding the handguard.
That was cool, I liked your call out with each other. That cartel board was good to.
Tac switches for your lights tend to go bad. even the more modern after market ones. Ive had a modlite and a surefire pressure pad crap out on me in less then a year. Alot of guys are swithcing their lights to the left side (if shooting right handed) and using just the pressure cap that comes with the light. By having on the left side you are able to acutuate it with your thumb.
OperatorDrewski never fails to make me buy games immediately after his videos release
Something else to note many games mess up is putting PEQ15 on the sides of your weapon. It has a split in the middle meant to go on top for your front iron-sight to not block the lasers but games love putting them on the sides instead.
So happy for this update. I love this game
The AI was so brain dead before it detracted from the overall experience. Looks like many improvements have been made, looking forward to checking this update out!
W for AI for being the same lethality as hostiles AI
Drewski just casually flexing his rifle setup.
We've been waiting for over a decade for a SWAT 5. WE FINALLY GOT IT BOYS!!!
Would be interesting to see an SCP/paranormal mode/mods for this game as well. The gunplay and detail are on point! Would be interested in a couple missions where you are called in to save civilians from some eldritch horror.
Yeah would be an awesome mod if it's not officially supported. SCP MTF mod
Wow, so I've made it 4 minutes into your video and I can already tell how much love and detail they've put into the game. As you said, it's not just lorem ipsum etc filler, there's actual thought behind stuff. Like Los Suenos Times, the newspaper in the game, "The Sleepy Times". Makes me think the town it's located in isn't exactly hopping.
Just started playing 1.0 update. I've been having so much fun, especially in multiplayer. The communication is great, been taking rear or taking lead through nightclubs and hotels trying to take down shooters and terrorists. Its an amazing game, that can also get dark very fast. Ready or Not 1.0 is number 1.
In regards to the flashlight siding, In the 82nd infantry at least, it wasn't uncommon to have the flashlight on the same side as your forward hand so that you could manipulate the light in the event you didn't have a pressure switch or in the event your pressure switch failed (Pulled out of socket by brush or because they were generally trash) or because you didn't have one. It also allowed you to change from the white light to IR light without moving your trigger hand in case you had to do it near contact.
this game needs the option for bigger teams especially online, some of these raids are hard to believe any agency would only send in 5 dudes
to be fair it is ripoff LA, defunded af
(but i agree nonetheless)
Sure but it's still a game at the end of the day. It needs to be challenging.
The ai shooting through walls when they know your there is great they just need to Make them do a random wide spray and stop after a second of shooting. Cool they do it but it's too accurate most of the time. It's cool to be suppresed through a wall or hit by 1 random bullet but to keep getting killed through walls becomes frustrating.
They also react a little fast sometimes, like you can peak a corner leaning and them be facing sideways but the second you peak then they turn and hit you (some of the harder enemies, not all) it makes no sense they see your arm out the corner of there eyes and shoot it when there not even aiming your way as you peak.
Ai is good just a little to good on some. Levels making the game become more frustrating than fun to the more casual. Player not trying to perfect every little peak and move they do.
Flashlight is sometimes run on left if not running pressure pad. Pressure pad is a potential point of failure (and light NDs) so some guys opt to run rear switch. I got my first rifle from a cop that had it mounted left side with tail switch.
10:43 I don't run cables for my Laser/Illuminator setup, so having the light on the left side is so I can hit the tailcap with my thumb. Same in game.
Also, if you are using a Law folder, that folds to the left, so having the light on the left side makes sense because then you don't have odd things hanging on the other side when folded and in a bag.
Hearing that the squad AI actually can be helped through therapy is wild, and honestly a super cool campaign-style mechanic. I, meanwhile, still need therapy after the "mansion 'party'" map. And the barrels in the basement... That's definitely still screwing with me, and is why I haven't gone back to Ready or Not in several months. I definitely found a bit of a moral limit there, and I have truly only the deepest respect for people who do this sort of job for real. I could not handle it. Still, glad to see the game is ever-improving, and I might take another stab at it soon.
I was honestly rather skeptical if they could recreate the vibe of SWAT4 and while I'm STILL not 100% sure they can, this is a good step forward
one light mechanic i absolute love, your flashlight
if yoy shine it at a colorful object like red sunglasses it reflects back as red
I love all the content. Keep it up buddy
Hi
Wonder if someone can make a No Russian mission map for Ready Or Not would be cool to see
Will you play as terrorists or will you play as the FSB Alfa or Vympel?
Maybe those guys as skins or something but you’ll probably be playing the swat team the response to the scene
which would be FSB Alfa group@@JethroBarnechus
Love the vidz, you have a new sub bro. Keep up the good work
Diddy Kong racing music at the end of a tac shooter video is a vibe
19:08 That IS a cool Screenshot… It looks so realistic I bet you could make people believe this is real with the right words on socials
