@@danfaces There's plenty "slam death metal" bands that may be categorically similar but these guys are deeper than just that. I mean its not good when beatdown and slam share so many similarities that the terms might as well be used interchangeably; lotta bands teetering on that these days and they fuckin blow. So much standardized production going on these days, where everyone is using VSTs and thinking they're going against the grain because they're using this plugin and not that one; once you remove circuits and air from the equation you're about as original as... something not very original.
@@jessestrobel2 yeah I get you. A lot of slam ends up sounding the same but bands like this stand out. Although I wouldn't say it's "pure slam", defo some other influences like goregrind in there. Honestly, I think anything that Cody (drummer/producer on this track, runs the label) touches is absolute gold. Defo check out his new EP as Putrid Stu it's absolutely vile. Also Sanguisugabogg are incredible
@@danfaces 100% agree with everything you said. Cody is the man, Sanguisugabogg tore it up when they played here in Dallas last year. All those dudes are just in tune with the whole 'brutal' thing

Best 9 minutes I've spent in 2021 so far.

I'm a sucker for this specific vein of brutal death metal. The groove is so reminiscent of early Internal Bleeding.
Slam death metal?
