My opinion & Usage Circumstances. M416 (small maps eg. livik) - Scenario, when i have another CQC weapon , Vector , Uzzi , UMP, Groza, AKM, G63 , FAMAS - Use the M4 as a mid to long range weapon. - Only other time i use it over a Scar L is hot drops and i don’t have a red dot, because we all know the Scar Iron sight is trash. Scar L (Large Maps eg. Erangle) - 50mag drum - with any other Sniper or long range weapon. - Yes and SMG or Shot Gun will always beat a scar CQC. - But it’s better than an M4 in CQC & playing against squads, that 50mag capacity comes in handy. Thats my take on these two. M416 - Livik (Mid Range Accuracy) Scar L - Erangle (Semi CQC weapon if running sniper)
ALWAYS rocking a 2x over here 💪 Im always going through my matches searching for a 6x and a 2x. Doesnt matter if I have a sniper rifle or not.. i just want that 6 for the odd time i want to reach out really far with my AKM 🤷 But the good ol 2x? I guess I'm just old now too and thoroughly enjoy that teeny optical boost lol
I hardly ever run 556 weapons these days, most times I'll run AKM or M762 / UMP or DP-28 until I get enough Shop Coins then I'll run M762 / M24 or DSR, that's my favourite Progression, if I don't get enough shop coins I'll buy a DP-28! The only time I'll run 556 is if I find a Mini and an 8x early game or I feel like running an M249 then I'll pair it up with a Scar / M4 / AUG whichever comes first!
1- AK, 2- Tommy, 3-Scar. I like the 7s and 45s for limb body damage advantage CQC. Since i miss a lot of shots () the hits i do get have more damage per round.
Lots of comments today! Scar works well for me paired with a boltie or tactical crossbow. It covers off all of the ranges before which I'll swap to the bigger gun/bow. I've found the same issue as you I think with using it at lots of ranges. Your spraying scopes have to have a sensitivity high enough to still do their job when you get fairly close, and this perhaps isn't optimal further out. I think this is why the 2x works so well, you can run it much the same as a red dot. Someone else in another comment has already brought the AUG into the mix. It's got a worse time to kill when a breakpoint is crossed, but is better at all other times due to firing rate, plus the hip fire is probably better. I will generally pick up the AUG over the Scar. Another head-to-head video needed?
Ive been specifically running a holo with the SCAR and, for whatever reason, it seems to work WAY better with the SCAR, and the AK too. I do think theres a difference in it and the red dot. Whether it be the reticle or something in the game, I'm not sure. It definitely plays better on higher recoil weapons for me, though.
Whenever I feel like running something different from my regular load out (akm mini) I find crate weapons, so I drop for the crate weapons. Gonna intentionally run something different.
Most players blind love for M416 is soft, if M416 never had glacier skin both weapons would be considered on par imo… only players who care beyond skins appreciate what you’re saying.
I know that the M416 is objectively better than ScarL for sprays But I still pick up the Scar cuz the skin i have for it matches with my akm (That's a good enough reason for me to run it) I would run the Mini 14 with AKM if i had a teammate but i play 1v4 more often than not
I tend to be a basic b, love the scar over the m416, but I gravitate to a ump for my cqc engagements and use the scar for medium to longer distance. That also is pretty heavily affected by the loot I can find though. And overtime, I have somehow become more of a hipfire player than when I started. I'm devolving and I'm ok with it!
The issue I have with the scar is it feels like the sensitivity and recoiled changes constantly with every minor update. You really have to keep on point with testing your recoil if you stay with this fun....the m4 never changes and the Aug barely.
OGs know that red dot / holo sights are the best spray scopes regardless of range. The aim assist kicks in the most on those sight letting you hit headshots. Also holo performs better than 2X
I have huge respect for Bushka, and love his videos. But it’s scary how someone like him is neglecting the AUG. It doesn’t matter how many shots it takes to clear a level 2 vest. PUBG mobile is all about damage per second. AUG has the fastest fire rate out of all 556 AR’s, best hipfire, and best recoil overall. The damage per second of it is bonkers. So the fact that the discussion is always M416 or a Scar is actually sad. So yes M4 is a great weapon, the Scar is a great weapon. But are they the best? No. Both theoretical numbers and practical performance the AUG far outclasses them
That’s like saying the P90 is weaker than AKM because AKM clears a level 2 vest with 4 shots. That’s not how it works. Accuracy, handling and speed (speed in terms of time to kill or damage per second) is what matters.
Yeah you need to do some more research/watch some more of Bushka's breakdowns on TTK, DPR, DPS, drop off over range, Damage done to limbs vs body vs head with different guns etc. Its not as simple as you seem to think

M4 is better. The SCAR is good, but I often find it will miss a few shots in situations that the M4 wouldn’t because of the horizontal recoil. Even up close, the SCAR may have a slight upper hand when it comes to damage, but I don’t notice a significant gap in how well I perform with the M4 vs the SCAR to make the SCAR worth taking over. I like to spray at long distances, even when I’m using a sniper, and the extra magnification of a bigger scope and stability of the M4 make it superior. But I enjoy running an AUG over both guns with a sniper because the extra damage definitely pays off in CQC situations. Either way, people like their M4 skins and aren’t going to give them up for another 5.56 AR unless it really pays off. At least I wouldn’t.
Ive also found the scar (and qbz) "feels" really good to ads compared to the M4, but do you know why that might be? Ive heard it has more horizontal recoil than the M4 so it seems like it should be the opposite
We all know Scar L is much better in terms of damage but still let's not reveal the secret to everyone so that we can always outgun them in close and mid range fights, I love doing that when I pair my scar L with a mini 14 or some other long range gun.
yes!! my favorite 556 ar gets some love. and your on point there buddy with the red dot and 2x scope. i don't really like spraying with this gun with a 3x.
Get your sensitivity set. 3x/6x dialed back is completely do-able, especially with a muzzle brake. No M4 required. 4x isn't the best. Caveat--I run gyro

Agreed. I'm a nerd for this type of content, but unless the skill level between players is the close, the better player will almost always win regardless of the gun (within reason). I like knowing which gun has the fastest time to kill, but most of the time gun fights are one sided and it doesn't matter. Obviously it's nice when that extra tenth of a second saves you, but that doesn't factor in most of the time.

I always love the bushka's videos. Especially the one about the guns, but just one thing to keep in mind is that it is geared toward or perhaps from the perspective of a not highly skilled player. That sounds ridiculous to a beginner when you watch him shread players like this. But pubg is so popular and now so old that most of the guys I play with a new against are so highly skilled they'll easily eat bushka for breakfast and a few are quite intelligent too so he won't be out thinking them. With that in mind you can judge how suitable each piece of advice is for you based on your skill level. For instance if you don't have old man fingers (love you bushy) you may find with the right sensitivity the honey badger is quite easy to handle contrary to bushy's advice or that the M4 is just strong enough as a secondary to rival the mini at a distance with great skill of course while still being extremely convenient in cqc. With the right mindset I really think his advice can benefit anyone in the player base and his aversion to the M4 makes him to come up with some of the best pubg advice in the wide wild world of pubg.
Agreed and I don't think Bushka would take offense. He's an excellent sniper who trains that skill on the range, but openly admits he's not a spray player. So this advice is through the lens of an average spray player. For me the difference is subtle, but noticeable when trying to hit a long spray of someone peaking a window or rock. The slight difference in recoil is the difference between getting a quick double headshot knock and missing the 2nd bullet. Obviously other factors such as your other weapon is really important. If I was running a sniper then I might pair that with an AKM or another CQC weapon that is usable mid range, but if I'm solo or duo squadding and want two automatic weapons then the M4 covers off the most situations and allows me to run a AKM, UMP, DBS, etc for true CQC.
Regarding red dot/2x... this is from aim assist, right? And anyone else feel that the aim assist is most accurate on the last bullet in a magazine, especially as a head shot? I feel like dumping a full mag it's the last bullet's head shot that ends the enemy. any research on that, Bushka?

I’d rather run an AKM and a mini or AKM for close and M4 to spray. It’s mediocre on 150 m and above. And I’m sure you would loose to a ump or AKM in close especially in a sweaty Europe server.
Also...this game is like a rpg disguised as a action shooter....i dont understand people grabbing a loadout and sticking with it thru the whole game...early game and late you dont need snipers...everyone is gonna have trash armor early and late game the circle is so small a sniper is useless. You have to be diverse theu the whole game
I always pick up the Scar Light its good and mid range but for CQC Styer AUG is by far the best AR at close quarters. But i still use SCAR at close to mid range its akiller!

For hackers any weapon is god weapon......but as a normal player i prefer the AUG- 3x, suppressed

I've rocked the scar L over the m4 since season 2. It has always been more powerful, and with good control the recoil is manageable.

2x does not have aim assist. And i believe aim assist tends to lean towards body shots rather than head shots

Sure, the Scar can be great for slower playstyles, but maybe the M4A16 is just better suited for those who like to play FAST and take advantage of its versatility. Instead of criticizing others for their choices, maybe it’s time to step back and appreciate the different strategies at play.
