Awwwhhhh Sam! Thanks love, and thank you for stopping by, and I happy that you found my tutorial helpful :) What should my next diy tutorial be on? xoxo, Shania
Hey there! That's such a major compliment, I know that there are many tutorials here on YT, and i'm so glad that you found mine to be most helpful. What else would you like me to show you how to make? xoxo, Shania
Heyyyy!! oh my gooodnesss, I want to see it! If you're on instagram tag me (@shaniainside) or use #shaniadiy. Also, what other plaid item of clothing (i.e. pants, skirt, etc.) would you like to see a tutorial on? xoxo, Shania
@@ShaniaShania I just finished it today, chose almost similar fabric, unfortunately I don't have account , what about facebook really thank you sooooooo much for your tutorial, you are such a great instructor and I love your style, we really love you💞💕💗💖💓❤

Will do!! ;) Just to check, will a yard of fabric definitely be enough? It doesn't seem like much but obviously you know best!! :) Thanks for replying by the way
Sorry, I promise this is the final question - I've found some fabric that I really like, but it's polyviscose. Would that be okay for a beginner to sew this with? Thanks again, here's the link www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ROYAL-BLUE-Tartan-Plaid-Check-Craft-Quilting-Designer-Curtain-Upholstery-Fabric-/301795848653?var=&hash=item46446f31cd:m:mqV8Y9JhNbqSLmHKs2u1biQ
My love! Ask as many questions as you'd like, I'm here to help to the best of my abilities. Honestly, I don't think I've ever used polyviscose fabric, or maybe I have and just didn't know it's name. I don't want to give you false information. However, if the fabric is not stretchy, I think the worst possible outcome (granted that you followed all of the steps correctly) would be that the middle and back of the dress where the knot is tied won't have as much of runched/gathered effect. That's just my guess though. I realize I'm late with getting back to you (sorry about that), but did you buy the fabric?
Hi, an thanks so much for this video, I wanted to make this style of dress for an 18" doll, I followed the steps here in your tutorial an it worked 😊 thanks again!
Hey Tina! Wow, that's really so cool. I'd love to see pics of how it turned out. if you're on insta use the hashtag #shaniadiy . Happy New Year! xoxo, Shania
Your viewers should know that for proper clothes making, fabric must be turned under two times and then top stitched. This is to ensure that your dress is not weak around the edges and will not unravel as it is washed. Also straps are usually made with interfacing inside to keep proper shape.
I loved this tutorial! ❤ The only problem is that I'm still learnin' English and is kinda hard to understand it. 😅 However, I understood some words... And I really loved the final result! 😍 Thank you so much!! 👏👌
Hey Stephanie! I'm sorry that you weren't able to understand some of the tutorial. If it helps you can turn the closed captions on and translate the words you don't understand. Anyhow, thanks for watching and let me know if there is a tutorial that you would like me to make. Hugs & Kisses -Shania
Hey so i was wondering (this is open for anyone to answer) could I achieve this without a sewing machine? I don't have one and don't particularly want to buy one as I wouldn't use it regularly. I don't have much expirience with sewing clothing but I do embroidery, so would that allow me to do the stitching by hand?
+Rilee kt Hey Rilee! Yeah, you could absolutely complete this project by hand based on your embroidery experience. The only thing is that it may take longer to complete, but it's absolutely possible. Go for it!
Yes with your embroidery skills you could achieve this very well (just and lm not being rude i would do extra stitches on the skirt seams part as when sitting you will put more strain on fabric)
+sparkL3gal Hey, at the time I was living in Italy, so I was getting my fabric from a local market. However, if you're in the States there's gotta be a fabric store somewhere in your city, or, you could shop for fabric online. All the best!
okay so I need to just know how to apply THE buckles... I'm struggling trying to find a video on how to replace my overall buckles/clasps w/e u want to call them Please help if u can
Hey Tiara! The instructions for how to apply the buckles usually come with the package that the buckles are in. As soon as I get the chance I'll make a tutorial on it. If you're subscribed you'll get a notification about when the tutorial is up. In the meantime, check out this tutorial on how to install overall buckles goo.gl/OqgKgM . I hope this helps. :)

Thank you for the wonderful tutorial but my word the distracting background music is so so loud.
YEAH
Yeeeesss!!!
Why do people make jumper dresses sooo short at least make it go below the knee pleaseee
I think it’s a preference thing. If you want a longer jumper dress then you have the option to lengthen the pattern before you start sewing it.
Very well explained but the music is awful - so distracting !
