I came to know her from reading an old magazine that I had for years and reopened a few weeks ago. Glad I read the article!
I just came to know of Neko Case in a very interesting way. I was watching a 2013 Korean drama called "Heirs". I paused the video at a point to read a message that was posted on what is supposed to be a California high school message board. One of the things that caught my attention was a poster for the Forward Music Fest, taking place in September 2008 in Madison, Wisconsin. Neko Case was at the top of the billing. I didn't know if it was real or something made for the drama, so I looked up Neko Case, and here I am. You really never know how you'll learn something new. Glad I found her!

i was on a plane, my sister was listening to this to feel a bit better, i asked what it was so my story wasn't very interesting haha.
A bookstore called borders used to have listening stations and i listened to furnace room lullaby. Hooked. That song and this one i can never play out.

My mom used to play her music. I just figured it was part of the soundtrack to my childhood. Years later while trying not to die, I was listening to an episode of The Hilarious World of Depression and one featured her. Look up your favourite artists. Know they hurt like you do
