I moved to Minneapolis after the army and iraq etc. Right around 05. I heard a song by these guys on a sample album and it changed almost everything in my life
I randomly found their ep when i was stateside in miami (im from the uk), i was like. 17. Lizard Skin Barbie and You Will Move blew me away, never heard anything like it before. I was lucky enough to see them on their farewell tour when they came to the UK and my friend got to interview Dave Witte. (I had to remind him that Dave Witte did ALL the Melt Banana) My best memory of that really small gig in london of about 50 people was being told by Ted, "Dude, I saw you going fucking MENTAL start to finish!". Coming from him, a man with such stage prescence...I did a massive fan girl. so yeah...its a story I guess. There won't ever be another band like them. We were both very lucky. People have Metallica, Pantera, RATM etc......I have Burnt by the Sun
0:04 You Will Move 2:54 Shooter McGavin 5:43 The Boston Tea-Bag Party 8:24 Buffy 10:29 Soundtrack to the Worst Movie Ever 13:20 Mortimer 16:10 Dow Jones and the Temple of Doom 19:01 The Fish Under the Sea Dance
Fuck ya. So many memories, so many basements. This is peak awesomeness. These were the days I remember most fondly. Seeing all these bands in situations like this, playing in bands in situations like this. And you know what, it was objectively good music. Nobody plays this shit as convincingly anymore. Burnt by the sun was amazing. That fiori, or florini song...fucking amazing. That whole album. So fun jamming out to this. Thank you, OP. BbtS. Fuck ya.
Cool footage of a massively underrated band!

Incredibly fortunate to have seen these guys a bunch of times back in the day. One of the best to do it
Lucky man. The band I never saw and want to see the most. Still listen daily.
