Thanks for the upload . It’s been nearly 50 years since I had a catapult as a kid and now I’ve just ordered one to rekindle my childhood and found your video very helpful I’m now a subscriber 👍
I use wasp Enzo slingshot...chi gong green band's .06 18 to 12 cut 8 mm lead and I never change anything been using that set up for years and taken lots of pheasants rabbit and pigeon with it ..head and neck shots ...lots of target practice too to keep me accurate.
I can't find any bands pour qi gong so I guess those are the same for yoga. What do you mean with " green band's .06 18 to 12 cut 8 mm lead " ? 0.6mm thick ? Width between 18/ 12 mm to 8mm lead ? How do you get to know the thickness ( they never mention it ), you go to the shop with a professional digital caliper?
Hi I watch your video from Italy and I find them very interesting and I want to start catapult shooting. So thank you very much for all your help. By the way I'm 63 year old. Good by thanks again.
Using light tubes rig, I use 8mm/9mm polished clay for practice shooting when out. It can be used for hunting and using a light tube set , very effective. I know that it's a favourite of the local moochers in my area.
Hi just taken up catapult having spare time in lockdown. Going well but suddendly getting prong strikes after fitting nnew bands. Checked they were level but getting worse. Checked tutorials re hold ball etc. After breaking glass panal in greenhouse with flyers . Funny enough the ones that do go right are spot on. Any thoughts?
I don't like hunting and hunting with catapults isn't even allowed in my country. That said, do you recommend shooting two different sizes (with two different catapults) if you enjoy both (or just enjoy blasting up cans with large ammo)? Or will that just mess up your target shooting game and you are better off shooting target with 10mm?
Unless your shooting elephants theres no real benefit to shooting a setup like that. I'd be surprised if you could consistently hit a target with that draw weight
@@keithdighton I have practiced with a heavier setup the squirrels I hunt are the biggest species of squirrel I have ever seen and are very very tough I just want something that will put the smack on them or if there is an occasional raccoon

I am another 63 year old starter, this time in the UK. Catapults aren’t just for kids.

Poor greenhouse lol. I'm getting back into because of the lock down too in the u.k
Trouble is i think its getting too complicated, one more bruised finger or another panel its a bsa air rifle to play with lol
Have a look at my other vid on beginner tips, it will help!
Kids shoot pretty good Nice job Mentoring✌
Thank you adam
what is the best slingshot combination for hunting with 9,5 mm ???
I'd go .65-.7 24/16
Thanks mate
Nice video Mate what band do you suggest for 10mm steel
.06 24-16 will work well

What age did you start the kids shooting keith?
6 years old, I think thats a good age to get interested and understand safety
Great advice, thank you 👍🏻
Brilliant video mate
Thank you very much:)
Would 1mm bandset tapered at 25-20 with 11 mm steel maxed out could I shoot 10 meters with no drop
Unless your shooting elephants theres no real benefit to shooting a setup like that. I'd be surprised if you could consistently hit a target with that draw weight
I doubt yous het much drop though in fairness, you just wouldnt bellowed to shoot in competition with that setup :)
@@keithdighton I'm only trying for squirrels
@@keithdighton I have practiced with a heavier setup the squirrels I hunt are the biggest species of squirrel I have ever seen and are very very tough I just want something that will put the smack on them or if there is an occasional raccoon
@@keithdighton also if I wanted to hunt squirrels is there a setup you could give me that i could get penetration on a squirrel with a catapult
26" fork tips to corner mouth 10mm steel kneeding no what flat bands kneed taper so on looking targetting rabbit pidgen so on
