It's windproof? So I found your video 5 years later. I also have a Burberry duffle but wind resistance is kind rubbish on mine, especially in windy uk. After having yours so long. Will you still say yours is windproof?
I find it very warm and it keeps me warm in windy days. the wool fabric is really thick. But, I notice my duffle coat has some wear and tear. the navy top coat of wool has come off a bit in some area. very sad...
@@viviennemedia3266 Are you still wearing this coat 7 years later since this video was posted? It's not easy finding reviews from Men on UA-cam, but i'm thinking about picking up a Burberry Duffle, or Gloverall brand this Christmas season.
alma phillips hi lovely, I bought mine from the boutique; when I did my review it was on sale on net a porter; yes Burberry does have sale twice a year ;)
Maybe it sounds funny, but ur video was kinda useful for me, cuz only here I've seen how neck button works :D While planning to buy one online, I weren't sure if this button exists on the duffle coat model being watched on photos (hidden under the hood as I found out right now). Thanks! LOL
Brand lover. If you are looking for duffle, u are better off with other brand. e.g. Gloverall .... Burberry is known for their gabardine and that equal trench coat!!! Please do your research before buying. Are you buying the brand name, the quality, or the design. Sad to say duffle from Burberry is purly brand. Duffle coat were design for the navies... do some homework before buying... please...
A. L Hi if I simply like the brand, I wouldn't not want a trench coat, but I was just honestly telling people what I don't like it about. For duffle coat, what brand do you recommend?
Gloverall is actually the brand to go to. They make Burberry's duffle, so the materials are the same. (Make in the U.K., same composition of wool, and more importantly... buffalo horn buttons) Belgium are the one who "invented" the material, the Polish created the design, but it is the British Navy who made it popular. Basically the story goes the coat went into popularity around WWII. After the war, the government sold the surplus to the general public and then became especially popular among the male students. All in all, the Burberry is a good piece, just not a classic piece. When I buy cloths, I like to know when makes the Brand the Brand. Burberry is the known designer and creator of Trench coat. And getting anything beside a Burberry or an Aquascutum trench just ruin a classic piece. It is the history that makes the clothes iconic. Not the brand. :)
This logic is so fuck. Lol people dont waste time reading this comment. It gave me cancer. "Guy dont buy the Lamborghini Urus but buy their aventador because their are more known for that" -__- Please shoot me in the head
Do you know if they make a 3 button one in this type of coat.
Duffle coats never go out of fashion
