I love Mines, for the nostalgia. I don’t know why it can’t be left in quick match. As long as it isn’t in ranked draft modes, what’s the problem?

The intro on how to loot fast reminds me of when someone asked Thijs what's the fastest way to get all the Hearthstone cards.. Thijs said, "Get a job. Use the money to buy packs." That will always be the fastest way.

They really need some in game tutorial with this basics. The amount of players that fight in numbers disadvantage for objective is too high.
"They have only 1HP so any damage will kill them instantly" - tell that to cursed bullet!
i would say a team doing merc camps as soon as they spawn, everytime they spawn, on every map, is better than not doing them at all. no matter what the situation
Gosh I really don't know how I feel about this statement. I would argue that you shouldn't get them during objective, but that's just me. XD
Yeah, I would agree. The issue I've found is that coming from a different MOBA is that I didn't understand there usefullness... it was several games before someone on my team mentioned that it was how they were causing strong minions to spawn, I assumed it was like other Moba's and they had pushed in my lane to a barracks or something, somehow without me noticing.

even if its 2v1 you should still try to poke damage, keep your distance and damage them down to try and get the upper hand
Mid fight at start is for easy stacks on quests, definitely not "pointless".
I think he refers to new players who don't know about rotation or effective solo laning and such. Since players rarely LEAVE mid after the first brawl, it is indeed better for them to just go top and sit there and do nothing until minions arrive. It's kind of like how he only mentioned mercenaries at the end instead of advising players to take camps before objective -- it is simply too much information and new players are more useful soaking side lanes like in LoL.
The main point of going mid is clearing the wave before your opponent does and then rotate. If Red has 5 mid, Blue has 3, then Red simply annihilates Blue 5v3, gets first blood, clears the wave faster than Blue, then moves to gank either lane with numerical superiority again to clear faster and move, always being one step ahead of Blue. That's the idea. But since new players who are not familiar with this sort of strategy would struggle with its execution, the best way to teach them is to simply tell them to go to a lane and soak XP, making them twice as effective as most players who think they're doing amazing things.
Eventually, players will figure out the mid brawl thing. And THEN they will figure out that there are other starting points, from side lane cheese to well sniping to rotation related shenanigans. But it is important to realize that minion XP trumps everything in the early game and so the very best thing to do is to go to lanes and soak, timing be damned.

Good tutorial series but sadly the main issue is still how solo Quick Match works. Like in this match Grubby's team doesn't have a tank. They should change it to instead of selecting a hero and starting the search, should change it to starting the search first then when a team is found then choose the hero. Like draft.
They did role based matchmaking once upon a time, but a few people complained that it took a little too long to que into QM, so they 'fixed' it again.
Edit: Your comment also is just saying go play draft without the banning mechanic. All in all I agree, delete quick match and have only draft.

I agree with Quick Match being way too inconsistent but i feel like rather than trying to fix the roles/matchmaking they should just focus on giving people more incentive to do draft mode. Maybe like bonus exp for winning a certain number of draft games in a week. It is the best way to experience hots but if people want something fast and mindless then maybe it's fine if they keep quick match the way it is.
@@jonathandmello3332 My biggest hate of Quick Match, and why I think it needs to have the Role que fixed back to some roles may take longer to que, is because hard counters can be moved around if you have a tank and healer, but in QM if you get a hard counter to your hero...You just wont have any fun.
@@that_invisible_man3460 I agree, i hate playing quick match. I don't particularly care about my rank but i just do ranked mode because it's so much less frustrating to play. Blizzard does seem to struggle to implement seemingly easy fixes to things.
For example with brawl. I know brawl is meant to be just fast random fun but i feel like it would be so much more fun if the core got its shield back, just like how it is in normal games. Also i feel like loosing your inner keep should spawn a fountain in your base because if you're against some poke siege comp you can just get pummeled in a few minutes and then the enemy just ends up backdooring you. Also, I personally feel like brawl should not have camps. Just defeats the purpose.
Instead of Mura, Tyr and Jai, the starting hero should be only Nova!
