    Oh this is one of my all-time favourite mysteries. The FBI claims they have his DNA...I am just waiting to see who it is soon with the new technologies and genetic genealogy.

    Thanks for the video.
    I'm curious to see where you are going to go with all of this.
    One of the current Cooper-tubers is making a big issue of titanium particles on the tie. I forget who it was, but there was one name that was mentioned of someone that I might have met early in my career. At one time, I dabbled a little bit in a titanium alloy. I accept that some of the guy's reasoning is sound. I worked in labs for a while, and I always tucked my tie into my shirt. The safer choice is to wear a clip-on tie in the lab. If the tie is caught in a wheel used for grinding and polishing metal samples, a clip-on tie comes off easily without dragging the wearer into rotating equipment.
    Personally, I still see the likelihood that he survived as only 50/50. We have no evidence that he survived. We have no evidence that he died. Without evidence tipping the scales in either direction, I'm going to call his survival a 50/50 proposition.
    On the chance that he didn't survive, I hope that the FBI looked at men in that age range who stopped paying FICA or income taxes in the year before the hijacking or maybe the month of the hijacking. He might have been unemployed at the time of the hijacking, and he might have been unemployed for some time. However, he was probably paying taxes within about a year of the hijacking. After that time, he never worked again because he died in the jump.

    Yessss! I'm a little obsessed, even listened to the entire cooper vortex pod (there's an absolutely insane agenda pushing online community for this case) kid rock was my era (I'm 47) and that song lyric always made me giggle, the whole record is a guilty pleasure to this day even tho i don't like his politics now LoL... I too remember getting on an international flight to chiang kai shek (ROC) in 1994 with nothing more than a piece of paper ticket til i needed my passport/visa on the other side. Prob seems insane to younger people when you're used to TSA but u really could pretty much walk up to a ticket counter and pay cash for a ticket spontaneously

    I never heard of D.B. Cooper until about 10 years ago. I don't remember who any of the proposed suspects are, but my opinion is he was an aeronautical engineer who formerly worked for Boeing.

    • @ArohaStill
      @ArohaStill 5 місяців тому +1

      I don't think he was an aeronautical engineer given some of the stupid decisions he made but I think perhaps he was working for a parts manufacturer or something because he had some basic knowledge about the plane...maybe a different type of Engineer. I have some aviation education, not engineering but we had modules on weather and nobody with aviation knowledge would parachute out of a plane in bad weather in dress shoes lol The apparently got some DNA from his tie but the sample is not sufficient enough for current technology but they also tested his tie for different metals and some people have sort of run with that and some even think that they found his place of employment RemCru or something is the only company that used this particular type of titanium alloy. So many angles and random people desperately wanting to be him... bug the Pittsburgh titanium guy looks like him...wonder of they showed his picture to the flight attendant

    Excellent video so far. A high chance Cooper died from the jump. If so, he was possibly estranged from friends & family(maybe Canadian too) otherwise he'd be reported missing very soon after the event. I think his name is possibly in a list of people reported missing months or even years after the jump. Just a hunch I have.

    • @ArohaStill
      @ArohaStill 5 місяців тому +1

      Not just your hunch, the hunch of most LE who have worked the case professionally and privately! I agree. Idiot lost the cash and probably died on impact if he had the dummy parachute (which experts think he did) and or he drowned in the river. Great mystery though!

    So this is “The Prosecutors” business model - listen to other pods and documentaries on a case (rather than doing any work yourselves) then pretend that because you’re law professionals you have a unique take, which you never actually do. Nothing new or novel here at all…just a lot of boring, smug babble to create enough time to shoe horn in as many ads as possible, on top of the YT ones (or the premium fee). Why not try a case few have heard of? Too much like hard work? 🤮

    • @THESHOWJUMPING_GIRL

      That's literally the point. To listen to their take on it. Sounds like you listened to the whole episode too, which is so odd because you don't have to. If you hate it, why did you bother listening? No one is making you do any of this, and if you don't like it just move on with your day. The world will still turn without you stopping what you are doing to provide your precious commentary. Trust me. I just don't get it. Why did you take up your time doing this? Do you think you have made the world a better place by blessing us with your opinion?

      That's actually what academics do. You research everything you can and then you look mostly at secondary sources to see what others have said, you fact check their work and then come up with your own theory on what happened. Alice and Brett have pretty stellar legal careers, not exactly plagiarists. And sorry, why shouldn't they advertise and be compensated a teeny tiny penny for the work they do. You could just not listen and do your own research right?
      And definitely they have a lot of knowledge of legal procedures, which factors heavily into a lot of the cases they cover and personally, I find it interesting to hear when, how and why they would have prosecuted or not prosecuted different cases because you see so many rogue prosecutors or even bad prosecutors who go after innocent people yet you are reassured there are so many with integrity.
      What a waste of your time eh?

    OMGOSH!!!!! I used to be a flight attendant with this irrational fear of being sucked out of a plane. So to confront this fear on a layover in NEW ZEALAND another flight attendant and I went tandem skydiving!!!! It was quite literally breath taking! One of my top 10 life experiences!
    I’m still a little miffed though because I paid for the video but NEVER got it. 🫤
