@@justinianthegreat1444 Meh, Brittany isn't. France is still Gallic. They don't look like Mediterraneans, they look like Gauls in complexion. Their language is a bastardized version of Latin sure. With influences from the franks as well. But the base culture came from Celtic Culture. Vercingetorix tried. The Roman empire is gone but the Gaidhlig is still there. An the Gaidheal are some of the most powerful ppl on earth. Even the orange Chevalier is half Gael. Clan McLeod of skye.

      What? Absolutely not!
Genetically speaking, most Sicilians descend from the populations that inhabited the island before Greek colonization.
Obviously, on the east coast, there is a strong impact of Greek genetic influence.
However, another important genetic component of the Sicilians is the influence from the Levant which occurred through the migration of Levantines to the Roman province of Sicily in the late empire.

I do not know it's Saxon name, tho it is a few miles from St Albans in stevenage. It is Graveley Hertfordshire England today. My surname is mentioned in the Domesday book for that land. I presume for service at Hastings. I am a decendant of Sir Knight Robert de Gravele 1230-1311. Buried in the church floor of St Andrews and St Mary's Church wallon-stone Hertfordshire.
I also have Breton ancestors who fought with Duke William aswell. My Bryant side.

@@senmidesenmide109 What do you think Franks were? Merovingians are Germanic with 'Romano-Gaul' subjects and mingling.
Like the Burgundians, Visigoths and such they were distinguished by adopting or adapting to Roman ways and their own, in those waves of influence. Imparting the same in return, some Normans weren't really pious either but that's war for you.
