I enjoyed the U.S house of cards quite a bit but Kevin Spacey has nothing on Ian Richardson. Then again I can't think of anyone would have been able to play urquhart
Oh Gordon...I dunno...probably one of the most capable politicians ever, yet somehow that leering 'hail fellow' grin he adopted around this time (on the advice of his spin doctors to make him more relate-able) just comes across as so false. I almost wish he would have just stayed true to his dour self and just run with it. Anyway, fascinating interviews with Ian Richardson...I always felt the man had a lot of talent and great humility too. Though I so him doing an extremely dodgy accent in Monsieur Quixote with Alec Guinness and Leo Mckern...I still forgave him :) as he's just always such a pleasure to watch. R.I.P

He also played Death in Hogfather. He played such a sweet grandfather in that movie, especially when he gave his granddaughter her Hogfather card.
