I just realized this is a big part of "us coming back" to who we are. Never had locks, have had long hair for a third of my life and get braids. This is the intimacy we need and it helps... it helps something I don't know what but as a man, getting my braids done by my wife is a intimate thing. Not saying in a SENSUAL way but bonding type shit.
Edit: MAAAAAN I want dreads but my wife doesn't like how dirty they would/might get. That style of braids at the end was AMAZING!!!! I do have a dry scalp so they would get dirty-ish quickly.

I LOVE your techniques. I didn’t catch the name of the 6 loc twists. Your work just added to his handsome,chocolate face. WOW!!! I sure you must be booked out for weeks!😊. I live in a small rural town about 175 miles east of my hometown, Seattle. When I decided that for my new style, I wanted a faded back and both sides. I tried explaining to ppl that, yes hairstylists are taught to cut hair, but a hairstylist isn’t the same as a BARBER!!! Over the past 9 years since we ( hubby) moved here from Seattle, when I saw a ‘fresh’ fade, I always asked who did it. Only 1 name kept coming up, B’s Barbershop! So when I was ready to change my style to a fade naturally the name I’d been hearing, B’s Barbershop was the barber I wanted. She was booked out for a week and a half!!!!!!! I made an appt with B and I’ve been going to her ever since. She gets it when I explain my latest idea. There’s just 2 ppl working in the shop. There’s a licensed braided and B. I just recently started going to B. Next week will be only my 5 th appointment with B, but it sure feels good that now I’m the client and not the stylist!💇🏾♀️
