building my first pc to play genshin impact (spoiler: it was a struggle)

- I got tired of waiting for Genshin Impact to release on the Nintendo Switch so I decided to build my own PC so I could play.
This was a struggle, but we did it! Now as a MacBook user, getting used to the Windows OS & shortcuts is the next struggle.

Why is everyone so mad about the GPU it’s not even that expensive compared to other models… it’s her money lol. My GPU literally costs almost $1300 with a i7 and I’m not playing anything too heavy. If you can only afford cheaper GPU there’s no shame in it, just stop being mad when others can. Be original. Give suggestions. Just say you can’t afford it and if you can then why care so much. This gives her more options to play other games with a good card, without having to update / change a piece. Good job on the build btw. People act like it’s their money being used when in reality if she can pay for it, then I don’t see the problem.

cureently saving up money for a pc to tun genshin aswell 🤭 my budget will prob be 700-800 dollars, hope i get enough by when 6.0 drops in genshin 😭😭

Got an automatic thumbs up for going ITX. I feel that when building for the 1st time, it can be nerve racking when dealing with such small, and EXPENSIVE components 👀 Good job though, and nice selection of components 👌

I got a rtx 3070 ti too, and it’s the Founders Edition.
i wont lie, having an SFF build that doesn't feature the O11 Mini, has to be the biggest breath of fresh air i've had watching people do white builds
the O11 Mini is good, it's hit the PC market hard, but seeing it in almost every white build when i search up, "white aesthetic pc build" it's tiring because almost every person who does the build, guaranteed is most likely going to have the O11D or the O11 Mini.
Also a massive breath of fresh air to see someone build a computer with decent/price performance... I've also noticed 99% of those "white aesthetic" builds are using the cheapest white GPU they could find and they always spend double the cost of their low power CPU on one of those fancy LCD AIOs lol.
@@Ro7ard and even then, you don't need to spend the extra money on an AIO, both air cooling and liquid cooling are at around the same level of performance. though it sure as hell is nicer to get an AIO that doesn't have a complicated ass mounting requirement (mounting the EK Basic AIO 240 meant i dont have to worry about mounting pressure as much, because of the spring locked screws that no matter amount of threading you do, it's already regulated itself)

Samee lol. I was waiting for it to release on Switch, although I know I could play it mobile, but to me that wouldn't have felt as satisfying. So I'm glad I have my own pc now to actually play it. Also I feel better knowing I'm not the only one who got into the game later on.

If you dont mind me asking how did you go about finding parts for the pc? This is all so confusing for me and i wanna make sure my built pc can run genshin
I started with what graphics card I wanted to get by googling and looking up builds on UA-cam! Then I decided what size case I wanted to get and from there I used PC Part Picker to fill in the rest with what would be compatible: pcpartpicker.com/
The graphics card I ended up choosing is a bit overkill for Genshin, but I'm also learning Blender so there's that 😅
