I didn't know an arcade version existed. Looking at the release date of this Arcade version tells you how insane David Crane's Atari 2600 version was ! It was for sure the best looking of all Atari 2600 games. The version shown here runs on way more expensive and powerful 1980's arcade hardware vs a an extremely limited home console from 1977. Still, in terms of gameplay and sound, it has not much more to offer than the Atari version.
The Atari 2600 was released in 1977. It had 128 BYTES of memory. This comment is larger than that. The hardware this ran on was released in 1984. That's an eternity of time back then in terms of technology. If you look for this game for the commodore 64, or basically almost any other system, graphics are of similar quality. This map of this version is entirely different. The only version I know that was (probably?) using this map was the NES version.
There was a dude called Gordon from my childhood holiday camp. Worked in the amusements, He would shred this game. 30 year memory unlocked.
Alex Kidd in David Craine's Pitfall!

Hay un Reloj/Despertador oculto que da un millón de puntos y solo aparece si recogiste mariposas amarillas
Si habré jugado a ese juego.
Wow! The arcade version looks 10 years ahead of the Atari version. I didn't expect a difference this massive.
