1999 में मै 9 साल का था, मेरे गाँव से रेल लाइन गुजरी है, मई जुन मे हमलोग देखते थे युद्ध मे जवानो को जाते हुए, हमलोग बाय बाय हाथ से करते थे, तो वो लोग भी करते थे, तोप भी जाता था ट्रेन मे लादकर, मेरे गाव के भी जवान उस युद्ध मे लड़े थे 🙏💪🇮🇳
पूरा याद हैं। कैप्टेन सोरभ कालिया, कैप्टेन बिक्रम बतरा, कैप्टेन मेघनाथ भट्टाचार्य और सारे महा वीर वीरगति प्राप्त हो गये। मैंने 1965, 1971, 1999 ये तीन लड़ाई देखी। हमारे फ़ौजी भाई पर हम गर्व बोध करते है। कारगिल विजय दिवस में हम शहीदों को स्मरण करते है और सैलूट करते है।❤🇮🇳

sir im aged 63 from mumbai. i remember 1971 very vaguely. was a schoolboy then.my dad used to put black paper in our windows, saying it is govt instructions, so that light from inside the house cannot be seen at night from outside. they had put up lights in the sea also i think. din me bahar jaate the, suddenly siren used to blast and we used to run for cover. itna vaguely yaad hai. rest all u have told. god bless u. 🙏🙏

My dear I also fought in kargil war at the time of Gen VP Mullick. Now I retired at the rank of Sub Maj. Actually that time was very crucial which I can't forget. But now we are very happy, lucky and satisfied that we got the opportunity to fight with Pakistan.
The Ahole Mountbatten was responsible for stopping the communication from the Rajah of Kashmir to India - He wanted to join Bharath - this was the reason that allowed the infiltrators from taking advantage of this communication failure. This is how it is revealed in Sam Bhafur's biography. I would have expected a military historian such as you to reveal it. Keep it real Major. Thank you for your service, Sir!!

Thank you Major Gaurav for updating the roots of kargil war ..the Kumaon Regiment well known for bravery has the credit of producing many brave Generals like Gen Thimayya, Gen. Kunwar Bahadur Singh, Gen Srinagesh. Gen T.N. Raina, Maj Gen Kaul itself speak the volume of Brave Kumaon Regiment its center in Ranikhet. Kumaon Regt. has also credit of raising Naga Regt. Fortunately my father Col. H.S. Chauhan is also belongs to the 9th Kumaon who too fought 62 China war, 65 & 71 Pak war, Goa operation the insurgencies created by Portugal so I do admire you also being an proud Kumaon Regt. officer & I salute you Maj.
