Thursday Thinker 210: Difficult People

Difficult people
In this edition, I'm talking about a line I'm famous for in my house, and it basically goes, "Your success will be predicated on how well you work with people who are difficult, not on working with people you get along with."
In life and in business, we're presented with many different types of people. In many cases, we love working with people we get along with, it's just easier. We collaborate well with them, we communicate well with them, we vibe with them, and things are just so much easier.
There are many situations where we are working with people who we don't necessarily get along with, we don't communicate well with. Your success in life will be predicated on your ability to work with those people, to find a meeting place with them, to find solutions on how to unlock some of the communication gaps that you're having.
So when you are presented with difficult people in your life or in your business, take it as an opportunity. Find ways to improve yourself because maybe you are the difficult person in this situation. It gives you an opportunity to work on yourself and find ways to build bridges with others. Once you are presented with a tough person or a tough situation and you're able to succeed with that, you wind up gaining skills and gaining lessons that will last a lifetime. Hope this helps.
