That's true but because this is Hilsa fish it has its own taste and flavor hence ginger and garlic paste is not required and secondly its made in bengali traditional style In which we bengalis never add ginger garlic paste.
In this fish if u add coriander, garlic and onion it ruins the taste of the fish, bcz it has its own flavor. However, in bangladesh do add onions , but best recommended to cook without any spice.
