I have always liked the way straw bale walls look. I read a few books awhile back about straw bale homes. I think they were written by Athena somebody. The homes were beautiful. I also like Michael Reynolds’ Earthships but that may be because they were the first alternative housing I learned about. Good luck in your endeavors.
I bought 5 acres for 5k, water across the street, 2k, 500 5th wheel moving, small trailer, address 7.5k total bought 5 years ago. 15 mins away from Joshua Tree national park. Strawbales available 5k per500 bales . Enough for two homes. Tax 400, year trash, 600, solar lights, 120 . 😊
I've been looking for a straw bale/cobb builder in Eastern Washington Or Northern Idaho with no luck. I know there are straw bale homes here that stand up to the weather, as should cobb. Any builder recommendations?
