The Best Vegan Seedy Sourdough Cracker Recipe!

  • I am obsessed with these crackers. Actually, I am pretty sure everyone i share them with are also obsessed with them.
    Using the extra fermented sourdough starter discards really gives these crackers such a cheezy, umami flavour that makes them really addicting.

    Cheezy Sourdough Seedy Crackers:
    600g (2 + 1/2 cups) aged sourdough discards
    90g (1/4 cup + 3 tbsp ) melted refined coconut oil
    2 tbsp nutritional yeast
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tbsp salt
    60g (~6 Tbsp) sesame seeds
    30g (~3 tbsp) ground flax
    30g (~2+1/2 tbsp) whole flax seeds (I liked using golden flax)
    30g (~2+1/2 tbsp) chia seeds
    Bake at 325 F for 3 rounds of 10 minutes. Score crackers into desired shape after first round of baking. Rotate crackers between rounds for even baking.
    Keep a close eye on the crackers and bake until desired colour is achieved. Bake time may vary depending on the oven.
    Let the crackers cool completely before storing in an air tight container.
