I totally understand what you are saying, when you are kid certain things have some kind of weird impact you. You are always seeing normal shaped cars on the street but when you see a group c car shape or any LMP car shape on a game you are like 😮, and with the speed of lightning you start to wonder how many more cars like this are in the world, you start to think of that very mysterious world of automotive culture that has not been discovered for you, at least that way it happened to me.
@@samuelberaha8284 Actually it's because my TS020 got figuratively and physically obliterated after I worked so hard to get it. Those fossils were fast for a bunch of older cars. @@chrischarizard4067 Not too hard to imagine considering the power gap between them. The older cars were rockets producing somewhere in the 800 horsepower region while the TS0202 was at a much more milder 600 hp. Even if you could catch up in the corners, they'd pull far ahead in the long straights

This video should be put in the adult section of UA-cam. What a sensational piece of work on one of the most beautiful group C racers! Both audio and video. Thank you 19Bozzy92
I know the world can be a scary place these days but to be able to listen to a rare race car rip it up on an airstrip in Switzerland with Bozzy's usual attention to great video and sound quality while having my morning coffee... what a time to be alive

As a young Aussie living in the Uk at the time I saw these racing at castle donnington. I was so homesick for the sound of V8s! I did love the the silk cut Jags but hearing this…these became number 1.
One of my Favorites of all time i guess on my list on the 3rd place behind the Mazda 787B and the unbeatable Michael Schumacher F1 Race car. But still in love for sure 😍 and u know what, the best thing is u can drive it as a casual in GT7 in VR! Absolutly Phenomenal.
Wow you are lucky to see one of these beasts in action!!! I'm a little jelly cus this is my fav car haha. I hope i get to visit the Mercedes Museum one day
Fantastic sound with brut force and acceleration! The follow up C11 was the top! Amazing how those cars were driven in competition by schummi and other heroes in those years👊🏻🙏🏻
Watched a lot of Group C in the '80s - what is there to say about these fabulous machines that hasn't already been said. Whether by accident or design the FIA got it absolutely right: the fuel efficiency formula meant that the turbo cars like the Sauber's and Porsche's could dominate qualifying, only then to be reeled in by the Jag's during the race, with everything hinging on strategy and pit stops. And then there was the sound - thunderous MB V8's and the Aston AMR1, the wail of 7 litre V12's, and all the time having to weave through the equally fascinating battles going on throughout the C2's. Oh to be in Dingle Dell on a warm summer's day hearing these wonderful machines through the trees...
These people really don't know how lucky they are to see that legendary car driving in person. It's a shame that it's not properly set-up and is using those heavy-arsed gripless road tyres. Group C cars are by far the coolest cars to ever exist in motorsport.
This and the 88C-V were terrifying sights when I played Gran Turismo as a kid. Nice to know my terror has been personified in this sound 😊

Fun Fact: The Toyota 88C-V in real life isnt as good as Gran Turismo showed

you can't even hear them until they spool down. probably so big the air just flows straight through them at 3000rpm.
Group B Monsters too

You and me both!!! Hopefully get to see one at Dix Mille in september
Best sounding Group C car IMO
My favorite race car of all time.
Me too also with the c11
Mine too. And the sound has never been beaten
Love the turbos and wastegates in the side pods - protected; great standoff within the surrounding box; less likely to burn a mechanic; just nice!
I remember standing close to it when starting up at Reitnau Hillclimb in the 90s, what a sound 👌
What an absolutely gorgeous machine. The side profile at 5:10 is amazing.
You can say that again. I could listen to it for the same reason as well.
That V8 rumble is the best sounding LeMans race car ever! Period!! And still the best looking too!👌🥰👉♥️👍is music to my ears!👂Legend!

Thank you Bozzy. It looks like this car likes to be driven hard, it does not like slow starts. The launch at 7:55 is very impressive.
No worries! Thanks for watching
Completely ballistic ❤
8:14 the sound of the rumbly angry v8 coupled with the spooling turbo is just beautifully evil
