I see atleast 3 references to their seniors in the rap part..1. Rukas coat reminded me of whats GDs wearing when he dizz MAMA in 2013 (Goodboy with Taeyang). 2. Asas sitting on a turning chair just like CLs in "I am the Best" and of course the Black and Pink shes wearing.
Plus the school bus and Asa doing the brrrrt which is in boombayah blackpinks debut. Also seems like a shoutout to Ahyeon. With 6 members it’s hard to say but at the start they maybe left a spot for Ahyeon in the middle. And then Chiquita kind of rubs her finger along the A on the ground. The purpose of this MV is presenting the next batter of YG's girls. All those reference just nothing to compare with their real capabilities. YG wont revealed all their secret with this song, only people who follow their journey from the start can understand this. I have heard so many people are mentionimg about the "Batter Up" song is probably meant to be Blackpink. and seems like they are just bunch of sheeps, you know like sheeping each other opinions with no thoughtfull procees. Well, clearly they still dont understand the word "Batter Up", because how come Blackpink become the next batter where they have already on the field and made homerun many times lol. Also, they didnt read who are the credits for the song.
If you do not go into all their pre-debut intro and eval content, you can still get a good profile of their voices by listening to the Predebut song Dream and their just release Christmas song. This song is the YG formula for Bop-that-sticks-to-your-brain.

i love babymonster, i do not see why people are giving the girls grief about having similarities to blackpink, if you have been watching babymonster from the beginning they have said many times that babymonster is blackpink's junior group. why is it upsetting people that they have similarities to blackpink when it has been said publicly that they are blackpink's juniors. all these girls have amazing vocals and stage presence. please for anyone out there that is sending negativity babymonster's way. try and remember some basics, they are blackpink's junior group. also i know a lot of people are upset because Ahyeon is currently out for health reasons and wasnt able to participate. give the girls the chance they deserve. they have earned it
Papa YG had approach BABYMONSTERS debut very carefully! Because he has 4 under age girls and 2 18 and 21! Other girl groups that had underage girls did not get scrutinized by the powers that be in South Korea like YGE is! So he choose to just show their vocals and dancing abilities and their stage presence! And we have seen firsthand how in awe they are to the shooting of a music video! They have to learn how to act and they get very embarrassed and nervous! But they are taking it all in and will be better prepared for a much more challenging video next time! Also the hate that they have received is the only thing they have in common with BlackPink! We the fans are benefiting from all the different Special Stages and behind the scenes the YG is releasing! It’s a learning experience for BABYMONSTERS and us!⚾️🙏🏻
Outdated concept. Maybe for YG stan, they will support BM 100%. But for the music enthusiast, i dont think it will be similar. There is a lot of new groups with interesting concept and genre.

Not at all cos not only BM but there are a lot of group (4th gen groups) who are "trying" this so called "outdated" concept but couldn't do it or failed to make it big with this... Whereas BM did it and as much as many people would love to deny this but they made an impact... A very great impact with your "outdated concept" and that too with just one debut song... Obviously it was expected from them as they are from YG so it's almost impossible for them to fail with this YG style...
