I have the city adventurer in black and the strap has never changed. I wonder if your strap issue is a defect for your bag or just that color? Would you ask for an exchange?
No, I’m fine with it the way it is. I was never going to wear it as a belt bag anyway and I don’t think I wear it often enough for it to become an issue.

That’s a good question. Not noticeably, but I could weigh them.
Only difference that makes it heavier are the buckles otherwise same weight. I am going to buy it they are $49 now in the submarine color.
