teenagers love that, but the age restrictions make it harder to sell with all the gore. also the game has some not-so-accurate units, there were no (Katana Samurai) in any time, the Katana was always the last weapon to use, a side-arm, while a Samurai usually had the 2 main weapons one ranged (bow or gun) and one pole arm (Naginata or Yari).
@@belalabusultan5911 To me, the argument regarding the individuals not using the correct weapons is a bit stupid. Though you are correct, it would only limit the game, kind of like saying that you can't pick rock in "rock paper scissors" because it isn't a man-made object. If we were to put the same argument on other Total War games, then the vast majority of units in the celtic and germanic tribes in Attila, and Britannia in general, would be spear and shield. After all, spears were much prefered over the axe, as it's cheap, easy to produce and most effective on the battlefield compared to other weapons. Yes, the axe was used as well, but not as much in primary regards. I'm all for realism in video games, but at that point it would just be less interesting than what could be.
Just a bit of advice from some1 who has used the donderbluss cav instead of any muskets. The secret to using them effectively is to not have them attack while moving. Move them right up to the enemy unit tell them to attack that unit only when the unit is mostly within the red range of attack have them fire once then run away. Rinse and repeat. They are not troops that are really meant to fire on the move, the reason why they may have been charging is because you ordered them to attack units out of their range when they hadn't reloaded. I used 6 of them to form a line had them fire once and then had 8 units of katana infantry move in to mop up. Also had 4 bow samurai to count any archers that they would have had. I could try to make a replay for you sometime if you're interested Apollo :)
Marselluswallace the cheapest option is to buy all the prices separately and have someone build it for you. Or you could build it yourself, however it’s more risky if you’ve never done it before
Thanks again for the great battle replay. I am going to have to checkout Shogun 2; you don't see many videos about it, and i haven't played that one yet.
I love your content Apollo, it's always full of great energy and positivity! Inspires me and teaches me how to become a better TW player. Also, the discord community is fantastic! Love everyone there and I'm always having tons of fun there 😎👍
not gonna lie, what a poetic moment. their noble lord dies to some cowardly rockets shot from afar, and in their anger, plot with these notorious professional assassins. they will ride out to certain death and make sure the enemy is distracted long enough for these assassins to get into place and unleash their hellish bombs. the bombs rain down, bodies are blown to pieces, and in the blood, smoke, fire, and chaos, the last thing these cowards see are 8 demons incarnate. it was a slaughter.
Apollo I honestly watch your vids almost every day, don’t earn much, but as soon as I do I will become a member and support your channel keep up the fantastic work. From all of those undisclosed fans I thank you and can’t wait for the next upload PS my fav is the Napoleon 3 vids there the best, would love just to know you read this , peace out from the UK Although the french loving is at odds with my upbringing 😂 only kind of joking
So I've never really played multiplayer TW (I have a whooping 1 battle of MP experience in Shogun 2), I've never had the opportunity to match up Donderbuss cav vs Bow cav. That cantabrian circle formation (or w/e they call it in Shogun, I forget I barely ever touch bow cav) is SURPRISINGLY effective at reducing casualties from the Donderbuss. Not only did it give your cav trouble in targeting, but it definitely shielded his infantry for a very modest loss in troop numbers. In normal formation that bow cav would've lost about half it's men from one Donderbuss barrage. Also worth pointing out that fire rockets would've countered your Donderbuss quite effectively too. Since your cav have to move close fairly slowly it shouldn't be hard to lineup a rocket barrage and fire rockets just decimate cav units in Shogun 2 (case in point your general cav getting annihilated by one long range barrage).
This was great battle it lived up to its title with even better commmentary from you. Just a consideration of mine is if you would mind to play middle earth 2
I'm not sure if the Oda are the peasant faction but if they are then that just makes me sad as they are literally the clan who unified Japan with the Tokugawa during the Sengoku Jidai. Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu are even called the unifiers of Japan. (For those of you who don't know Oda Nobunaga was the leader of the Oda clan, Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a great Oda General and later unified Japan and Tokugawa Ieyasu was the leader of the Tokugawa clan, the Oda's ally.
To be fair oda is the best faction in the game since they have really good ashigaru which are the cheapest units in the game and oda can get them at an even lower cost so they win in numbers.
i am not sure how it is in online battles but your troops are unbreakable in at the top ring of the castle thats why your one guy also was just standing there they fight to the death in sieges thats what i love about in shogun and you can really damage your enemy through that
Well, actually Oda Nobunaga is the first daimyo that make composition of his army having more trained and profesional samurai then the peasants warrior, while other daimyo having more peasants warrior in their army, rather than profesional samurai. That's why Oda is among the three unifier of Japan
Actually Apollo, the Otomo were the few Japanese who embreced cristianity due to the fact that at the time the portuguese got to Japan, that clan was being outnumbered in a war they couldn't win, so they made a deal with the portuguese in which they would allow them to send emissaries into their region in exchange for protection.
I noticed quite a few people criticizing Apollo for mispronouncing the Date clan, I didn't see anyone actually correct him on it. Date is in the clan is pronounced "Dah-tay", similar to how you would pronounce Dante from the Devil May Cry series.
I'm surprised no one pointed this out yet, but hanzos shadows are pretty bad, because they only have 2 bombs each, while the "weaker" kisho-ninja have (i think) 15 bombs. Stupid, but that's how it is.
The moment he pronounced "Date", I just died a little inside.

We were trying to figure out which Yari Ashigaru got the 409 kills. We're pretty sure it was the one in "deaths alley" holding that flank
Ellington Total War For yari ashigaru that’s an insane amount of kills lol
Yeah that was my immediate assumption, it has to be the yari ashigaru holding that back alley against Date
@@Raven-py8yc Never underestimate yari ashigaru in this game :P Though it is slightly amusing that it's not the Oda ashigaru
I like when you try to advertise your ch so much dude *joke
it was because the dates nodachi samurai ran through the ashigaru unit when they broke, and that's how they got 400+ kills
Personally always thought Shogun 2 had the best gore/kill animations out of all the total wars.

this would be a cool e-sport

I wanna see the surviving lone Portuguese gunner
Anyone else notice he only claimed to have one Portuguese gunners but he actually had 2? The lone gunner had his own unit.
yari ashigaru on yari wall is equivalent to a unit of katana samurai
