Should already be doable with Logic. They showcase this in Studio One because they have a deal and Splice app is embedded into Studio One, but you should be able to use the same feature from Logic (or any other DAW) by just using it combined with the regular standalone Splice app
Questions: When you drag and drop YOUR sample into Splice, does Splice gain any rights to reuse that sample in the future or use it for AI training? Could there be any potential issues with rights when using this specific feature?"
Could this be made as a vst plugin so that it can be used in any DAW. I use Ableton and I'm almost sure they would take forever (if at all) to integrate this in the DAW
It already exists, it's called Splice Bridge. All the "detection" is doing is determining the key - nothing special - you can instead set the key in the Splice app.
Love this. Splice actually makes me think that I can produce my own music. With AI playing a bigger and bigger role in production tools, I can't wait to see what Splice has coming soon.
The role as a producer is to gather and arrange audio and or midi into a sequence and make that into the desired production be that a song, a sound effect, or what ever else sound related. Technically because of this that is still production even if your just draging aand dropping pre made sample but many producers do way more then just that. Many producers these days compose there own music, play instruments, mix, master and all those additional skill which your still going to need if You cant do it.
When I use loops I don't often go past 1 or 2 because I make 80 at least of a song or instrumental My self. I might load up a pre made drum loop then I build My own Bass, Piano, strings composition ontop and do no editing at all to that drum loop. If it works why mess with it? This tool would be useful I just wouldn't be loading in 7 3rd party samples into any project most of the time unless its the track outs or stems of a single original sample.
Facts 🤷♂ although sometimes they surprise me. Live's right sidebar already supports HTML so in theory it wouldn't require much to add the Splice mobile site in there.
so songwriting has become like paint by numbers. just combine a bunch of disparate elements until you come up with a combo you like. it doesn't sound like composition to me. beethoven and lennon are rolling over in their graves
I understand fully how you feel because I've lost a lot of inspiration due to all these new tools. It bothers me that pretty much anyone can make songs that sound good without really even having talent. With that said I feel like this is what I needed back in the day (yeah im old) when you had so many ideas but couldn't afford to have a guitarist or singer come to the studio. There's always a choice and it's yours! You can choose to use some of these tools all of them or none! It's basically up to you and at the end of the day good or bad this is the future of music production. I'm still struggling with the feeling of "cheating" when I use AI or any other tool that "skips" a lot of steps cause it makes me not as invested in the process as I use to be But at the same time like I said it's a choice!

Thanks so much for having me 🤍LOOOVE this feature SO MUCH! ✨
I appreciate that it's a fully live demo and not something unrealistic, great vid. Will def try this feature as soon as it's out for LogicX. thx

@@foljs5858 thx!!
Glad it was helpful!
This was so cool to watch I need to get into S1 because of this upgrade I’ll be coming from LP as well
You won't regret using S1, I started on Logic when it was Emagic before Apple bought it I like S1 much better.

This is everything I ever wanted!!! When is it coming to ableton???
Yes availability in ableton is a must
Hello there 🙋🏾♂️Is this gonna be able for Logic?🙏🏽
Wow this is amazing! I’m leaving loopcloud only for this. 🎉
For parts like the bass chosen, can they be slowed down to half time, so you could have eighth or quarter notes instead of 16th?

No but you can use there online tool that works in a similar way, you drag and drop to and from there website into your DAW.

@@HOLLASOUNDS No, this isn't "technically" producing. No sounds are being made. It is just arranging loops. Arrangement. Not production. That's it.

when in ableton ? ?
Coincidence that the wonky tin whistle noise is first ?
Subscription based? No thank you.
Sad that this feature will never come to ableton, if you know ableton for minute you know they will never add this
Deserved 🫵😂
Or Logic 11, for that sake.. :)

This isn't songwriting. It's arranging loops (not "samples") that are chosen for you to drag and drop.
logic?

Out of curiosity, are y’all subscribed to Rick Beato’s channel?
😂😂😂
At this point we are just loop stacking, this is defo not songwriting 🤣
