Are you at all concerned with the metal of the step being in direct contact with the paint of the Jeep? I just got these and did not install yet because I thought maybe there should have been some paint protection in there or a gasket or something to prevent metal on metal.
I wasn’t too concerned with it, but it’s a valid question. A good was to protect it would be the swear a thin layer of silicone on the bracket on the mount edge
Hi MicTuning. I’m honored you would ask! I know you have a lot of other cool gear. The jeep used in these video was a client’s. I don’t have access to another Jeep right now for headlight
@@Airwaves-Radio I’m not sure what they’re rates for but my buddy is 200lbs and that felt solid. I understand the concern, but just gotta think about leverage. When you stand on these the weight is very close to the hinges bolt point to the body. So it’s vertical pressure only. Whereas a door is tugging on it trying to pull the hing away from the body when the door is open. I would never stand on these with the door open since it’s a totally different load that I don’t think it would handle well. But door closed, I’d stand on these all day.
Can these be installed on the front doors or only on the rear ones?
@@danyelm939 they can go in the front too. I’ve seen people put them on all 4

If you have other equipment you want test I would be happy to give it a try
@@dillansgarage your email pls, we can send you some details
Hi there, what size are the torx bolts that come with the steps? Are they T55 as well?
Aw man. I’m sorry I don’t remember but I think so. I don’t have the jeep with me anymore to check
@@dillansgarage Cool thanks!
How much weight will these steps support? Also concerned whether the hinges are designed to support more than weight of the doors?
