Kings Field is a great series. This was a rough telling of the story and lore. Good effort though. Also with Leon Shore in KF(2), his mother disappears because she gives you her Figure of Seath which had been keeping her alive even though she had died. Thats what the Figure of Seath does. It gives you a "extra" life. You can also use one to revive the dead guy in the cave of poison. The little girls father. I believe his name is Teo.

Is the information about the events that lead to King's Field 3 taken from some external sources? Because in the game itself, as far as I understand the japanese story, Alexander/Aleph tries to fight the maddened Alfred with the Moonlight Sword but he loses and the sword breaks. To squeeze out the last bit of magic left in the sword Alexander/Aleph cleanses himself off the normal magic elements by conveying them to four mages. He now only possesses the power of light which makes him pure and enables him to use the broken Moonlight Sword to seal the castle and its nearby premises (so not the whole of Verdite). Same with Pilot Style. In the game (and the back of the jewel case) it is said that the broken Moonlight Sword was entrusted to Silviera/Rodom by Alexander/Aleph and he stored it in the northern guard post. It was then stolen and brought to Ryza village, so Silviera/Rodom sets forth to recapture it.
Thanks for the explanation. That makes a much greater deal of sense. Unless I missed something in playing King's Field 3 which is entirely possible, do you ever find Silviera/Rodom in Verdite Castle? I thought I scoured the place top to bottom, but couldn't find trace of him. I would have thought with a character so important that his corpse at least would have been lying somewhere.
