I'm surprised it didn't try to Undertow but I can see why that might break the game cuz shambler might spawn something else while something else was kidnapped. Also Leviathan is lucky that the shambler tentacles didn't crit every turn as they normally would 😂
I guess Leviathan uses Undertow only against heroes. Still without that, he's strong. But there is also stronger Shambler than has 40% HP. I might check if it's possible to make Undertow work for that fight.
Last time I fought the Leviathan it stopped trying to use Undertow when my first character died. It might see only 3 characters (or maybe even just the Shambler since that's how the battle started) and the game deactivated Undertow's usage.
I mean, if you think about it, they're both really just AOE and then two hits. There's not really a turn difference. 🤓 Leviathan has the breath of the sea and eye of the storm for when there's no hand (damage and mark two characters while debuffing the rest), and then tidal surge for full AOE when he has the hand. The hand is essentially just two hits targeted at whatever's marked from eye of the storm, and breath of the sea is no damage but random debuffs. The free action deep rising just spawns the hand, while Shambler doesn't need a free action to summon and just autosummons every time he attacks. Shambler has the three AOEs for stress + combo, blight, or bleed. The stress would normally be useless but the combo from that move actually lets him heal. The blight and bleed can be handy as the damage over time stacks up and makes up for the lackluster upfront damage. They also give free death's door checks. The clapperclaws, while doing less damage at the start than the hand, constantly give themselves massive permanent damage and crit buffs along with two block tokens and outpace the hand's damage immediately. tldr; The fight is shambler versus a shambler that debuffs and damages with no DOT and one fat nonbuffing 2 turn clapperclaw. Pretty balanced fight that could go either way. nerd paragraph over.
and because a lot of the attacks were directed at the shambler itself while the other attacks were directed at the hand (also, little healing happened, which is very important in a war of atrittion)
(a bit of an introduction to this fight) After an utter mawling of the heros from the shambler, it found itself inside the academic study. Eager for more bloodshed it wandered out of the study to find itself upon the piers of the shroud. Sensing foes nearby, it made it's way to a mysterious pier, where 2 groups of enemies fell to the claws of the shambling beast. It then comes across a mysterious Pier of sorts where the bubbling waters behold the being that all the corrupted people of the shroud worship: The Leviathan. Not too happy with the shambler just slaughtering it's peons, it Lashes out at the pathetic looking creature, barely the size of its own head, while the Shambler sees this monsterous water behemoth as a worthy opponent. Who will win, The being of the shadows, or the creature of the deep?
And that was the day the Leviathan firmly established himself as the new god and protector of the Fisherfolk. The men upon watching this, ran to the sea to be reborn in his glory.....
This is the coolest shit ever. I'd be really curious to see the final bosses, if that's possible. Could the Focused Fault take on the Body of Work? There'd be no ghost to take down for ez 200 dmg, but at the same time, the eye does a billion damage anyways, so maybe it'd win regardless.
Antiquarian as a guest party member instead of the Bounty Hunter might be fun, she'd be paid in relics and/or baubles instead of candles and wouldn't spawn as an enemy in the next region while you have her
@@TheEnhas Didn't want to spoil my future videos, but I made one Antiquarian fight, the video just needs some editing so I can explain at the start what are her skills about. It should be ready in 2-3 days.
I mean have someone tank the undertows and kill his hand really quick while applying dot to levi. Ofc you can get unlucky but that applies to every enemy
@@lorenzolabanca5613 Honestly I just avoid the shambino. Every time I fight it I always end up losing because it spawns them after every attack. I only fight Levi with someone that can guard and give them high movement resist. Both very hard bosses imo
How come Batter always targeted the Shambler whereas Clapperlaw spread its damage out all the time? If the Leviathan's hand wasted its time on the spawns more I think Shambler would have won.
The hand targets only enemies with a special token that applies after Eye of the Storm skill. Leviathan got lucky in this fight killing tentacles with AOE skills before they receive any token. But the mechanic is working, as in the end his hard properly targeted the remaining tentacle.
In theory a player-controlled shambler should win because once the eyes focus on the two tentacles you can just ignore the hand and the leviathan will waste its turns battering tentacles instead of the shambler
Fucking clapperclaw man.. this hurts to think that champions can't pack in half of the damage the Leviathan got Also I don't recommend watching this in headphones. This is the screechiest fight I've heard so far, my ears didn't say thank you
First you find save files in .json format. For Epic Game version, it's located there: C:\Users\_USERNAME_\AppData\LocalLow\RedHook\Darkest Dungeon II\SaveFiles\ Then you experiment with enemy names etc.
Well the clappers fail by focusing to hard on the levyathan, if only the hit one more hit on the hand. They would have won easy, the levyathan couldn't make enough damage to kill the shambler in time. But that hand, destroyed everyone, moved the shambler like a pawn, hit like a truck and put bleed on the clappers. Hand was mvp and clappers were extremely noob. Levyathan got lucky here, if the focus was diferent he would be destroyed. And i don't want to talk about the crits.... i need a rematch, one more chance and shambler wins, i know he can.
How does this work, exactly? You edit the save file to have enemies on your team, and then they use their abilities automatically? Is it possible to have a mix of player characters and NPCs? I mean, with the way enemies are animated (with a "windup" animation for their moves, even though nobody is selecting them) makes it seem like they operate on the same principles as the player characters. But surely, it can't be that simple? I wonder if you can edit in enemies or heroes from shrine flashbacks. Or does it break the game?
When I put the correct enemy name inside save file, it connects to this enemy data and uses his skillset. The enemies designed to act based on their cooldowns and AI choses one skill that is currently possible. Sometimes the game break because some skills are intended to be used against heroes only or only being on the right side. The shambler spawn failed to avenge the group in the stagecoach who took them in.
Noooo don't make it sad like that
@@Mr.nesser They gave it a name too. Poor Samuel died, along with all those who would remember him.

I was thinking during that entire video "Shambler crit me THE ENTIRE FUCKING FIGHT and critted like 3 times here. No wonder it lost."
Shambler's Ordained stats: +20% HP, +20% Damage, +20 RES, +2 Speed
Leviathan beat Shambler with his biggest power, His Consistent Crit Vomit Cleave.
I thought the clappers had a 103% crit chance. That's how it works whevener I fight the shambler anyway.
If you leave them alive long enough, they would be buffed af. But if they only survive for a couple of turns, they aren't that dangerous.
Leviathan won mainly due to having way more turns that the Shambler and his spawn did.
Once again we can see that turn economy is king

The leviathan technically only had one turn but has a lot of free actions. Which is more than most enemies get.

Working on it =) Some iteractions break the game or the fights are one-sided (Act 3 kills everything).
