The crazy thing about this is that unlike cascade, it's an etb trigger, not a casting trigger which makes it a lot easier to use at instant speed
and u can put the card to hand if u dont want to cast now like if u hit a board wipe
The fact you can get the trigger of blinking especially is some nonsense.
This is dinosaur cascade and I love it.
It even is better than cascade cause you don't even need to cast just to etb !! :)))
My son’s favorite edh decks are dinosaur tribal and sliver cascade. I put up with cascading slivers but once a turn dinosaur cascade with ETB triggers is where I draw the line. Nice try though
Zazama just says "if you cast it", which will trigger off of Discover as it specifies you "cast it without paying its mana cost". Super excited for more fun dinos!
Thought the name said Sun-Flavored instead of Sun-Favored
*EAT PANT*
laza
Some card that i would've used (not budget tho) are probably vedalken orery and monster manual to drop a dino on opponent's turn or smothering tithe misplaced dinosaur combo so everytime they don't pay the 2, you get a 7/7 dino and a discover trigger
Quick question. If you keep blinking Pantlaza each turn won't that mean its technically a new permanent and you can keep discovering?
I would think so
Yes every time you flicker or blink Pantlaza it is a new instance which means you get the effect again when it etbs. And yes you can chain flicker spell into flicker spell.
You can flicker it (once each turn)
@@AJANI97any number of times. Each time its an "new permanent" entering the battlefield who's ability has not yet triggered
@@matthewpopow6647 yeah youre right sorry guys I meant you can use its ability one time per entering the battlefield. If you flicker him over and over you get his triggers again.
"Hey everyone, Mitch coming in from the commanders studio. Welcome to the show!"
Divining Top and Scroll rack can and will let you control what you’re going to cast with his trigger.
Remember to set Cavern of Souls to = Dinosaur 🦕 to make sure these majestic creatures arnt counterspelled 😊
+10 points to whoever gets all their dinosaurs altered to have pants for this deck
Pants Laser, Sun-Flavored. My new favorite commander!
Not leaning into a dimensional breach is a good idea in pretty much every circumstance, I'd say!
Yeah this is going to replace gishath for me cant miss with it cus it goes until it hits something, its an etb and you dont have to put in on the field. Also u can hit all the human creatures that support the dinos with it where gisahth misses them. Plus it wont be wow i finally hit like 5+ dinos with gishath but cus that was combat the turn ends and then im just hit with a boardwipe
Maybe it just the fact I was in the cold giving out candy for the last hour and a half talking, but I might build a Pantlaza deck.
I will wait until the decklist is out but looks good
I am surprised they did not call it Mega-Cascade intsead of Discover! Haha.
Well it isn’t cascade, and I wouldn’t exactly say it is better either. Cascade is a cast trigger. You cast it, it goes on the stack. Someone counterspells your creature with cascade? Cascade is still on the stack and goes off even if the creature with cascade never makes it to the field.
This on the other hand is an Etb. The creature has to actually hit the field for it to activate. However! It has to be noted that this is not a bad thing, because this means that it doesn’t care about how the creature made it to the field, only that it etbed. Monster Manual and other cards like it, will be great here.
So they didn’t call it mega cascade, because it is really quite different than cascade. More like a brother or a sister to it, than a buff or a nerf.
Card looks hype as hell, can't wait to turn my combo Zacama deck into a true dino tribal!
Zacama is in the precon...
Discover is just straight up cascade but better holy cow...
good my white blink stuff i dosen't use in my vishgraz (because nobody want to face him because booboo he have toxic) can finally be use.
OH and can we discuss a little bit about how this card is cool withj the flaming tyranosaurus from the doctor who set and how scary this big boi could became
Would Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines make the ETBs trigger twice, or does the "only once per turn" prevent that?
Once each turn prevents it
Yep, it will attempt to trigger an additional time but be prevented. Similar to if two dinosaurs enter at the same time, only one trigger
So, even though the copy of the dragon is it's own object, it's ability isn't? The ability count how many times a similar effect triggered, regardless of source?
... no. Copies would each have their own trigger... each only once per turn.
You'll have two copies of the trigger on the stack as normal but it'll be pointless. If you choose to discover when the first trigger resolves the second trigger will see you already met the "do this only once each turn" condition and do nothing.
Edit: Nyxthos Paragon uses a similar trigger. Its rulings seem like a good place to start until if and when this card gets it's own rulings.
And I for one, welcome pseudo-cascade to my Gishath deck
Nice. Panty-plaza, Sun-Flavored sounds like my kind of dinosaur.
I do need to make a dinosaur deck, i love most dinosaurs.
Discover is a better version of cascade wtf
Yup
Man, I was really hoping the discover mechanic would be like a token thing similar to clues. Like a map token that lets you pay 2 to look at the top card and if it is a land, put it into play, if not draw the card. This is just another type of cascade. It is powerful, but I was hoping for some janky mechanics like the new junk tokens coming out.
How many times per turn can this happen if you have a copy of this in a deck with mirrorbox?
I would think its once per copy of Pantlaza. But you also get a fresh "once per turn" each time you flicker Pantlaza, so there's a lot of room to extend that restriction.
This is a 99 card for Atla, both together gets insane
I was literally thinking the same thing, and you can use thr Dr. Ian Malcolm version of Atla so it's more on theme!
Might change my gishath deck with this one, big butt dino's could be a fun deck idea
Quicksilver amulet, elvish piper, monster manual, and seedborn muse lol
I have this Deck. I can tell you that this deck will paint a big ass target on your back
Before watching video:
Dude, this is 2 for one in a Jodah the Unifier deck!
If Jodah's on the field and you cast it, it basically cascades twice!
Going into the 99 with Gishath, ngl Gish is still the best Dino commander to play.
Pretty debatable. Gishath has to deal damage to get the effect and more importantly comes out 3 turns later.
@@eewweeppkk I do agree with you. The fact that new commander cost 3 less is so obnoxious. + the fact that his effect starts when he comes to battlefield + each time another dinosaur enter the battlefield. And the cherry on top, the fact that you can't miss with him because you can't have lands, that commander looks so so strong
This shit is op
Cool dinosaur cascade, but I'm still sticking to Maelstrom Wanderer.
I thought it said sun flavored. lmao.
compare this to the first sliver and its just sad
Dammit I wanted a Dino deck but I don’t want another cascade deck. Zzzzzzz I guess I gotta pay 30 bucks for gishath. I know it’s different from cascade. But strionic resonator works!!
Sun Flavored Lazer Pants
Cascade Dinos, DINOS!
and if you get another dino from that it will also have this. it's like the first sliver xd
Ability only triggers once each turn.
this looking good in the 99 in gishath 😂
He plays similar to Atla Palani
The main way people will play this is Aetherflux Reservoir, Molten Echoes and lots of flicker and create copy cards.
Cascadazour!
They couldn’t even give it 1 keyword? It’s got white in it, I’ll take vigilance over nothing.
Bro imagine casting og ghalta off this.
Its dino time 🦖🦖🦖🦖
Pants laser a
Sounds so wrong....
Because dinos needed free spells...
like dinosaur tribal need more "I cast your stuff."
honestly we do
@@StormTheOnigiri No. You don't.
Lol gigantosaurus a 5green cmc 10/10 can make ghalta a 2 green cmc 😂😂😂😅😮😢😢😢😢😢
I prefer my Gishath
meh u r crazy man u put d tier decks in omega lvl
