Out of Chaos | Frisson
A collaboration between John Sanborn (@sanborn707) and Lali Wilde
We are searching. Endlessly, we seek moments that incite us, ignite us, tempt us, galvanize us, amuse us, arouse us, scare us, delight us, or that bring us a kind of experience that changes us from our head down to our toes. Those instances happen, but rarely, and when they do, they last for only a short time. After the jolt, they fade away, evaporating like a fragrance. This is the perfume of frisson. What we don’t understand is that what we are seeking, is seeking us - and all we have to do, is wait for it.
Out of Chaos | Frisson is an AR experience created by Lali Wilde and John Sanborn, to articulate these elusive instances of life, and examine them through the lenses of emotional and spiritual responses. Wilde and Sanborn have each written over 30 pieces of text, and then illustrated the sense of the words, with still images that tantalizingly avoid direct representation - and videos that function as a series of poetic diversions - hinting at their meaning while embracing their power.
The work will be on display until September 8th in the MEET Center in Milan, Italy.

i hear thats a good place to start a surrealist group. find a ghost with a curly mustache. thoes groups all ways pop up when the world becomes overly rational. random forces guided by nature. rivers never go in a straight line.
founding a surrealist salon is definitely the plan for my next trip to europe
