Kim Kardashian’s net worth is estimated to be $1.8 billion; she is through and through a self made billionaire and was announced as one by Forbes in 2021.
Kim was born into a well off family; Her father, Robert Kardashian, was an attorney and entrepreneur who famously defended O.J. Simpson and his net worth was an estimated $30 million.
Nevertheless, Kim is ranked 24th on Forbes’ list of America’s richest self-made women.
Kim owns two businesses, KKW Beauty and Skims; although KKW Beauty has been sold In 2020, she sold 20% of KKW Beauty to Coty for $200 million, which valued the company at $1 billion.
However, at the time, Forbes estimated that Kim’s 72% share would actually have been worth around $500 million.
Kim Kardashian has always had an full hourglass like figure; lately she's been downsizing; we first saw it on this channel when I talked about Kim reversing or removing her bbl back in 2021 then again when we talked about Kim and Khloe possibly using diabetes medication to cause weight loss and or mini gastric bypass surgery just a few months ago and of course when we talked about Kim wearing Marilyn Monroe’s dress; in which she said she lost 16 pounds by starving herself.
    #wegovy
In this video I will talk about Kim Kardashian’s / the kardashans changing body aesthetic,
where she may be getting inspired for this new body aesthetic and the weight loss drugs that may be causing or at least helping her reach this new body aesthetic. This video will be less structured and more free flowing than my usual videos.

The Kardashians are proof that beauty goals will never be achievable. One moment a certain body type is considered goals but than that desired body type changes from year to year. Beauty is more than commercial good looks. I like good looks as much as the next person, and I’m cool with cosmetic plastic surgery; however, if a person is cruel, mean, racist, malevolent, rude, violent, aggressive, unethical, manipulative, cold, or narcissistic, then I don’t find them beautiful. Money might buy good looks, but it can’t buy true inner beauty, courage, emotional intelligence, compassion, empathy, kindness, ethics, integrity, authenticity, a loving, accepting, open-minded worldview.

It's because the "thick" curvy body became too attainable. Once the everyday woman was able to get mommy makeovers, complete and full body lifts and BBLs it was a wrap for the Kardashians. They don't want to look like the average woman and this is how they are able to keep successfully moving the goal post.
Maintaining a curvy yet thin look is harder to achieve because you have to maintain a noticeable lower BMI.

I use saxenda after I gained around 30kg coming out of rehab. The results are amazing. I lost it all and went to my normal size. The issue with my body shape is I have my dads body 😂 all of my fat gets stored in my (chest) and abdomen which as you know is the worst place for it to be stored - and I have a short torso. I was not obese but I was overweight and over my bmi. After I stopped however, the glucose cravings were so intense, and it happened to be Easter where I am, and I gained back. Never had a weight issue until after that rehab stint which also increased my glucose cravings and was craving sugar constantly. So I’m back on it now. I don’t naturally overeat and if anything I forget to because I have a relationship issue with food and just looking at it or smelling it makes me feel off. I don’t have an issue with meal sizing either as I often only need a few bites and I’m done. At my heaviest I was 86 and I got down to 60 which is what my body frame suits and was made for.

What people don’t realise is that any area you have injected WILL expand like crazy and it’ll start looking gross. I had a reverse BBL this year and I still have body dysmorphia because of how massive I feel my bum has gotten. The dr couldn’t remove more than 30% of the fat because it would result in a saggy bum. Please stay natural, if I could go back in time, I wouldn’t do anything and I’d accept myself as I was. Temporary “nice” looks aren’t worth permanent, longterm bad results.

I have lived the era of anorexia and bulimia epidemic as a teenager in the early 2000's. It had affected my life forever. Nowadays I am strong enough to ignore damaging beauty standards, but not when I was younger.
I struggled with anorexia and compulsion for over a decade and it shaped my relationship with food forever. I still cannot put up with any restrictions or any diets that make me slightly hungry. I go straight into compulsion mode. Long story short, I cannot achieve certain milestones with diet because as soon as I think about diet my compulsion comes back so I have to rely solely on exercise to improve anything about myself. If I think "I would like to eat less sugar because I worry about diabetes" my body simply doesn't understand that and tries to make me eat the whole world if I try to cut or reduce anything. Also if you do end up needing injections, as long as you wash your hands & use an alcohol wipe on your skin, infections are easy to avoid. I was concerned before I started too but it becomes second nature to prepare & the risk really is tiny. Even if the injection site does get infected it goes pink (I'm not sure how dark skin reacts) is often itchy & has a yellow head like a spot, so you can tell & tackle it before it gets bad. I def feel the pressure to look a certain way to keep up with these “beauty standards” I can only imagine how others feel. It can really take a hit on your self esteem and mental health. Thank you Lorry for everything you do always being there to remind us that a lot of these looks and what we see on social media really isn’t “real” and for reminding us that we are all beautiful in our own way. Like you mentioned Lorry, I've also thought for ages that it was spurred by Khloe losing weight so drastically from the stress of Trashcan doing a number on her again. The media was really starting to talk about (and even praise) Khloe and then all of a sudden Kim went full throttle - it was like in her mind she couldn't let Khloe get the attention, because she's always been the "golden child". The same thing happened when Kourtney started getting a lot of attention for her relationship with Travis - all of a sudden Kim started dating Pete, another tattooed skinny white dude. It must be an exhausting way to live.

As a naturally thin/petite person during the Kardashian BBL era, I was always made to feel like my body wasn't womanly or beautiful enough. People have made fun of my ass or lack thereof, and called me anorexic despite me eating more than double what they consume. (I seriously love food lol) Of course, I could do squats and workout, which has improved the shape of my butt, but it's never going to get me to the size that Kim has. And I could put on weight, but the weight will never distribute in the way that I want it to (most of my weight goes to my stomach area, which never happens with the Kardashians- hmm I wonder why). So despite what others deem as desirable around me, I've come to accept my thinness. It's so weird to see these figures like the Kardashians who for years, put my natural body to shame are now trying to make it the next trend. My body is not a trend, nor is it perfect. Nobody's body is. And there's no such thing as size inclusivity and body positivity when everyone is secretly trying to fit into the same size whether that be a bigger curvy size or a smaller one. Just accept the body you were given, nourish it, and cherish it.

I hope most young women and all women who watch the Kardashians understand that this family has serious issues that gets swept under the rug and not an example of what looking and feeling healthy is. Khloe has major self esteem issues and let's Trashcan walk all over her. Kim still praises Kanye even though he mistreats her publicly which is not how a confident woman would represent themselves as. Kylie can't even walk down the street or do interviews without her mom practically holding her hand and she's a full grown adult with two children. The only healthy Kardashian is Kourtney.

As I've gotten older and more comfortable with my body (a work in progress), I keep reminding myself that the "perfect figure" changes over time, but is ALWAYS unattainable for the average person. Yet somehow, marketing makes us admire people who have it, and maybe feel like it's "just out of reach" if we just had better willpower, or money for procedures, or whatever - even though that's almost never the case. It takes so much mental real estate to think about your body and how it looks and what people think of it. Can you imagine having all that free time to think other things? One of the most enlightening experiences I've had in the last 10 years is actively paying attention what real people around me (not just people close to me, but people on the street, when I travel, etc) look like, rather than the (at most) 5% of people who fit the fashionable figure of the moment.

I gained the most weight in my life in the shortest amount of time during quarantine. I still have stretch marks. Weight gain has always been a popular topic in America, but do you think the uptick in interest in weight loss drugs (ozempic etc) is not just solely on influencers like the Kardashians, but also the influx of many Americans feeling self conscious of their weight gain during lockdown? I think that could also be an interesting correlation for the trend of wanting to be “thinner” in post pandemic times.

I’ve gained almost 30lb since the start of Covid. I am 5’5 and have never been more than 160 at my heaviest with my average at 145. I am now almost 170 and tbh, my mental health is priority right now. I don’t like how I look, but I’m not really stressing. But I totally feel you

That’s a good point but losing weight can still be done in a healthier way. I lost some weight in 2019 (200lb to 170) only to gain all the weight and some more back since covid (250rn, it’s my heaviest). I’ve never had self esteem issues before but being this heavy has certainly given me some. Currently, I’m on a journey again to just eat less and walk more. My aim is just to lose 7lb a month so in about a year I’ll be back to my precovid weight. I wish everyone all the best!

I'm sure it's connected, all capitalists wants to drop their investment when the marked wants it. And sure, a lot of people have gained weight and mental health issues from covid. You don't become a billionaire without exploiting thousands of people. And making deals with ice cold and dangerous people.

As someone who grew up in the 90s and especially the early 2000s basically that entire generation has eating disorders from that time period. I had one myself. Me and my friends would constantly weigh in and give unhealthy advice. The body people wanted was stick thin. The celebs at the time we’re all so thin we wanted to emulate that. Plus I’m a fashion girl so of course I thought clothes look much better on a thin frame sadly. I remember at the time thinking that someone like Hilary Duff was “fat” or Kelly Clarkson when she was on idol as a contestant ! Insane ! The leftover body image issues still affect a majority of people from that generation! Kim included.

My best friend recovered from an ED she developed from severe bullying. I was always super skinny naturally but got bullied for that, too as I got older like middle school, but I see now how crazy it was that my friends and I always worried about our looks because of the immense pressure to be "perfect".

I’m a zillennial and was young in the early 2000s, but those standards affected me as well. I was anorexic for years and part of ED/pro ana Tumblr, on this forum called MyProAna all day everyday for years, where girls would encourage each other to starve, body check each other, and just overall trigger one another into sickness and validate each other.
I was obsessed with the 90s heroin chic look and supermodels. It’s crazy because I’ve been recovered from it for a few years now (still dealing with other issues, but at least not my ED) and I used to be so much thinner than Kim and Khloe, but now they’re so much thinner than me 😭😵‍💫 I don’t know how to feel tbh?

My mother used to be obese (on the lower end of the obese bmi) and has been on this kind of medication and was able to drop down to a healthy weight. However, that took MONTHS. She did lose alot of weight but it's really not healthy for nearly anyone to lose so much weight quickly. It's absolutely dangerous for someone at a healthy weight to take something like this. No serious doctor would ever prescribe this for a healthy average person.

I am wondering this too... Because they are uber famous Kardashians means they gain access to the cream of the crop but these are prescription drugs.... Drugs that are extremely expensive and life saving to those who really need them, yet the celebs get them because they pay to be skinny (allegedly allegedly allegedly)
