Moodymann talks about his MPCs and why he does what he does. Watch the full video at www.redbullmusi... or subscribe for updates as and when they happen.
this is tha man!!! but even more funny! i heard allmost a year ago a song that used exactly this vocal for breakdown or something, and i really liked that song just because of what he was saying.. crazy how i completly randomly find just the vocal, for me to use :D
Someone else sampled this bit too: Homework - I'm into this And Blawan sampled another bit from this interview (brilliantly) Blawan - What you do with what you have
u real brother i feel every thing u saying thats my life the music is my tru realty my job my wife my life wen i get off work every day my second life starts another zone
@SpineTunes I have some akain sampler in rack mount but I don't get the point in having them. Can't u do same things with a normal vst (like ultrabeat of logic) or do they sound better?
there isn't ... i'm guessing you listened to the maxxi soundsystem mix from futureboogie and saw how maxxi ripped this pitched it down and kicked it into adana twins - juicy fruit ... but when you googled the lyrics, you found the fudge fingas post which references this video ... yeah, no use of these words in any track by fudge fingas. WE BOTH KNOW THATS EXACTLY WHAT JUST HAPPENED! :D haha.
@djalternegro the point is that the whole thing is changed, i mean media and other shit. and you have to live with it because you won't get medal on your neck, cuz you ain't moodymann your're just a music lover like everybody else who gives a damn about and its not a matter that you started listening him earlier then somebody
Go buy some vinyl and find some culture , cut it up and make it your own , if it's fat people may dance , but do it cause you love it not for the fame. Kenny Dixon Junior
@Preset1 oh god, i swear anything that has to do with music, you always got one bloke who brings up dilla. this is a house producer for gods sake. and i have listened to a bunch of dilla's instrumental's and i find them to be rather boring. if u respond your probably gonna call me a hater, and confess your love for the awesome dilla
@ampule i disagree. cats listen to him because it is academic to do so. i listened to his stuff and bought it without ANYONE telling me this was the best there was out there (hollah princeton record exchange.) and i am sorry the system having changed is not an excuse, as i said, parrish is extremely prolific and puts out new material regularly and has been for years. that is no excuse. so no i do not have to live with it, and i won't. i simply pass up the b.s. and these weak ass children
@ampule and these children eat up his words like he is god or something. he did not say one inspirational thing. he has gotten complacent and his sound reflects that. theo doesn't care about aprobation and his music also reflects that. if moodymann would ignore the underground media and snobs like rbma, he can regain his throne as the best, because he is. he is just becoming arrogant and complacent. once he talked about kids making house sound foreign, and now he katers to them. sad.
@ampule and these kids shouting epic and der hammer etc...makes me laugh. cause they would be disappointed too if they knew the real un"heralded" sound of moodymann...i am sorry but you cannot keep it real in the face of superficial fame. sorry. that is why he has to talk about music the way he does. it is childish. i dare moodymann to put out a double ep of new raw material that rivals any of his early and white label shit. i dare him. theo tries at least to outdo himself w/every release.
I don't think their is anything more Detroit than this man.
+Bastion Thrice like a lot of Moodymann's music but being from Detroit doesn't entitle you to behave like an arrogant prick
boldy james

@fullfunk tell him that to his face. being a master of house music doesnt make him the pope or your role model.
