Hey Paul! Thank you a lot for this great video! 1. We would like to clarify that the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) or any other custom fields are only visible in the list if they have been added and are activated. Please ensure that these fields are correctly configured for them to be displayed. 2. I'd like to point out that you observed the default spacing before and after the content, and it was designed to provide a user-friendly experience. The spacing allows for more accessible content addition, eliminating the need for manual spacing. However, your feedback is crucial to us, so we can consider implementing this change. Once again, we appreciate your valuable insights. Please feel free to share any additional feedback or questions you may have. ~ Ivan from the BSF team!~
Great overview mate (as always). Really impressed with how Spectra looks. When I first heard of it, I was dubious. Now I've seen it in action, I will have a play with it (especially as I get a copy with my ASTRA LTD). Perhaps you will do a full site build on this one?
You forgot something i think. For example we created a demo dynamic page. I want to show this page in all posts after the title. How can i do this? So i read 'Custom Layout - Hooks' on the offical site. I think we need to create demo pages in 'Dashboard > Astra > Custom Layouts' so we can show them where we want. Is this right? Thanks
How do i add the spectra pro plugin to wordpress... I got the zip file, when i upload it says The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.
I don't get for the life of me why the Ultimate Addons for Elementor has WooCommerce product(s) block(s) and Spectra Pro (Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg) doesn't have anything similar (I get the "loop" block for products but it is not the same or at least I can't "see" it yet. I can't see how to get a product carousel for example.
Elementor and Bricks interface are miles ahead of any Gutenberg interface. It boggles my mind why developers come up with such sub standard interfaces. Why would anyone choose Spectra, Generate Blocks, Cwicly and the like over Elementor/Bricks is beyond me.
You're comparing apples to oranges. They are very different products. I agree that the interface in something like Bricks is better, but it isn't using native WordPress (Gutenturd) functions.
@@WPTuts What you say is correct. They are different products with respect to the underlying architecture. I am just curious and fail to understand as to why people would spend money on them vs full blown pagebuilders like Elementor/Bricks.
@@John.Rearden speed and simplicity for sure. Once you get past the interface shortcomings, you can build very fast loading sites without messing around a load of optimisation that many PBS require to get comparable speeds.
I Agree with @wptuts that they arent apples to apples. Bricks is way too complex for client facing implementations...however I've beenconsidering using BOTH something like Spectra in tandem with Bricks. The idea is to use Bricks for overall theming/structure and then locking down Spectra to be used a "client facing" block editor for gutenturd. I'm not sure if this provides the best UX yet, but there needs to be a happy medium between the two products. An example use case would be where we create a page template layout that uses a global bricks template (single column for this example, in which the client does not have access to the builder). Then when a client needs to add a new page for say....a marketing landing page....they would be able to create visually appealing edits with a less crappy block editor (spectra patterns). I've tried using Kadence and the code was absolutely horrible, so I'm hoping spectra can do the same OR....I hope bricks comes up with better Gutenburg UX.
This as well as the blocks builder in general is just too basic to use on the vast majority of our client sites. Love the speed though. I am sure the eco system will mature eventually.
All a bit underwhelming to be honest! I was hoping for something better, I don't know what that 'something' is, just more than this! Nice video though!

First time hearing of Spectra. Downloaded immediately during the watching of this episode. Thank you!
Can using spectra manage also ACF repeater and/or flexible boxes?

i use spectra often for making my blog posts more visually interesting. it's quite good for that.

Big fan of Spectra and been waiting eagerly for Pro. Had a little play with it and sent a few suggestions to BSF hopefully they will implement them.
Does Spectra work well for ecommerce like Kadence? Do they have features for that? Blocks product etc?
Thanks

Does the Query Loop Block of GenerateBlocks have pagination?
Yes it does. 👍
@@WPTuts Does Spectra Loop builder have pagination? From your video tutorial, it doesn't have that, but pagination is very useful.
@@HaifengZhu-pn3uq I haven’t gone back to Spectra to test it I’m afraid.
@@WPTuts Thanks, pls make more tutorial on Gutenberg, currently Gutenberg seems to be more popular than Elementor
happy it's here. wonder how stable this beta is....
Spectra Loop builder seems not having pagination

You mean there is no such feature or blocks for products and ecommerce so?
Looks like this is helping Gutenberg a lot! #GUTENNotQuiteSuchATURDWithSpectraAnymoreMaybe haha. Great video!
It's 10:40 AM EDT, June 8, 2023, and Spectra Pro is locked. You cannot download a test copy.

I don't like other page builders better than Elementor Page Builder. 🥰 Elementor is the best!
Yes if you want to kill the loading speed, Elementor is for the Lazy designer
