    Way to visit Naples! I admire that you are omnivorous -- and by that I mean both with food and with experiences. You are willing to eat everything fried and carb-laden without remorse (must try that myself) AND you are willing to experience graffiti, high art, archaeology, and underground tunnels.

    I've been watching many travel videos and vlogs because I'll travel to Naples soon. This is so helpful and DIFFERENT! All the other videos give you the same info but this one's just so interesting, thanks for the many tips! One random question: do you guys use any preset, or what settings do you use for video recording? it looks so nice!

      It looks like it should be very dangerous but it’s not. Super old city with very kind people. There are a few neighborhoods I’d avoid, like any major city.

    • @vernonandmaryana

      It was Palazzo Petrucci Pizzeria, we found it using the Michelin app. There’s a quite a few really good recommend restaurants on that app.

    Plan on crossing Italy off my bucket list in the next year or two. What 3 cities in Italy are must visit? Interested in food and exploring.

    • @vernonandmaryana
      @vernonandmaryana  5 місяців тому

      Depending on how much time you have. Florence is a must visit, also see if you can do a day trip from there to a smaller town near there. Rome is great for a first visit, there’s so much history, food, culture, very walkable city. For the third, depends if you want to go north or south Italy. Sicily is really cool to explore, ton of culture, street food, it’s something very unique. North Venice is nice with a lot of smaller less touristy cities near.

    What is your favorite “go to” foodie app for finding great places to eat?

    • @vernonandmaryana
      @vernonandmaryana  3 місяці тому +1

      I wouldn’t say there’s one particular app I used to find places to eat. I use everything from Google reviews to Tripadvisor, to time out in whatever city we’re heading to. Also, I tried to use chat gpt to search the web in the native language to help me find some local foods and cuisines, and the best restaurants based in that language that are less touristy to visit.

    Grate video, thanks for sharing. I'm wondering how many Euros to take for a 4 day break, do you have any advice? Or can I just use my card? Could I pay on my phone too? Any advice would be very much appreciated 👏.

    • @vernonandmaryana
      @vernonandmaryana  6 місяців тому +1

      They take card in most places in big cities in Italy. Only in smaller towns or small shops you’ll need cash. There’s pay with phone almost anywhere now. We always keep some euro on us just in case (usually around 100€)

    • @vernonandmaryana

      Try to make reservations to popular places ahead of time, especially during the busy tourist season. Always look out for scams, there’s the popular ones where people try to give you things for “free”, or try to tell you they have tickets to a sold out museum, don’t put your name on any places that’s “collecting” signatures. It’s pretty safe here and plenty of police, don’t be worried 😃
