Hi, I'm from Brazil, for Tucunaré (Peacock Bass) try using surface lures such as Poppers, Zaras (Rapala Precision Xtreme Pencil, Duo Realis Pencil, Jackall Bonnie) these lures are very attractive to Tucunaré, since they are a fish that is curious about noises in the water, also use Stick lures working slowly, giving rod tip touches and alternating 2 to 3 quick touches.
You'll see how the attack of the tucunaré is something beautiful to watch, it takes the bait with great anger.

@@roadtripangler We can organize an operation in Barcelos or Santa Izabel do Rio Negro in the Amazon, if you have 11 friends I can set up an operation in a boat hotel there for you to meet and go after the giant Tucunare-Açu, a species that can reach an incredible 90 centimetres and up to 20Lbs.

Have y’all tried that Backwater Assassin paddle? I am looking for a good paddle for rivers and such from the Coosa X. I had the bending branches angler but I sold a kayak and wasn’t home for the sale and my wife tossed it in the deal, had plenty of cheap paddles laying around and she gave him my favorite. It wasn’t the Ace model though.

I have only held them but not paddled with them. I believe you would miss having a branches paddle though. The Ace is awesome but so is the Scout and Classic for that matter. They are really hard to beat. The Backwater seems sturdy but it a bit heavier and not as rigid so you would lose some performance for sure. Also Branches has been shaping blades for a while and have it pretty dialed in!

@@roadtripangler that’s a better way to look at is durability. I never had an issue with the Branches. Thank you sir.
