Amen! I'm 45 years old, and I've been single for 3½ years now. It's the longest I've ever been single. I've always felt that "need" to have someone to complete me, and make me feel validated. I still believe that, for me anyway, I have someone who will be my life partner... and I want badly to meet her. But the difference for me at this point in my life is that I know that I don't "need" her nearly as much as I need God. And that without God at the center, anything or anyone I have in my life will be incomplete. I still struggle with the fire of passion and desire some, but I know that... and I know that I don't want to act on that in and of itself. I have most of my life, and it's NEVER worked out! I know that God is working on me, growing me, and making me the best version of myself... so that when I do meet the woman whom God has been doing the same thing for, it will be His will, for His glory. He tells me to take heart, be patient, and love with ALL of my heart. And He will provide EVERYTHING that I need, and that He planned for me... and for her. Live blessed! ❤️🙏✌️

Call it drastic, but I was so convicted by this message, I went and deleted my love songs playlist right off my Spotify. They are great songs, but they are serving ONLY to fuel the wrong fire. I can't have that in my life right now, when I'm single.

I see many churches encouraging couples to speed up the marriage process instead of “burn”. But I see a fault in this because if the only reason you are getting married to avoid falling into sexual temptation then you’re not allowing the spirit to exercise His self control over your life. Because I don’t think sexual temptation will be cured inside marriage; temptation is a heart issue; therefore, it can even occur inside a marriage(ex:adultery)
Sexual frustration is just one of the side effects of being single. The bible gave it as the main reason for marriage because it is a recurrent urge that does not go away but rather increases with time.
People should only listen to the word of GOD! Not what the church tells you to do. The church can’t save you only through Christ our lord. We need to follow the word as it is and not try to form it into our benefit!

Trust me, God is trying to protect you. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. I'm 27 and have had way too many "mismanaged" relationships to count. In my opinion, one relationship with the person you marry is all you need. You won't need experience when you're fit with the spouse God made for you!

This is actually good advise. I walked from a 5 year relationship because God Jesus called me. I was dating someone who was Hindu and I still love her but I've been able to get past my struggles by being passionate about reading God's word and helping out at my church. This season of the corona virus has allowed some of my old passions to creep inside my heart but today I am reminded to lean on God more and become more obsessed with things of God. This preacher did a good job understanding the struggle and what it takes to overcome. If your reading please ask God to keep me strong in my mind and spirit. I mean well but I'm human and the devil keeps presenting me with different opinions.

I am a divorced mother of two now adult children. I always wanted to be a mother and wife ever since I was sixteen. After years of physical abuse, mental abuse and being cheated on over and over again it saddens me that I am single now. I've been praying and asking God if it is his will may I find someone who puts him first and loves me for who I am. Someone perfect for me and for me to him. Separation from an abuser to be single is okay (1 Corinthians 7:11), however, divorce is only permitted when the unbeliever departs (requests for it - 1 Corinthians 7:15). There is nothing God cannot do, he can save your husband, change him and bring him back to you. Love you. Please read Luke 1:37, Jeremiah 32:17, Job 42:2. You might pray for God to work on both of you, to enhance your comparability.

He was physically abusive, mentally abusive, attempted to harm me on multiple occasions, attempted to harm our daughter when she was a newborn because she wouldn't stop crying. He was a nonbeliever and told me he became to worship Satan. I thought I could change him but I was very wrong. Only God can change someone. I now wait for a man of God from our Lord and Savior. Actually, no... All these pastors (that cannot relate) their message is the same: stop being depressed over your barrenness and just “be on fire/work harder” for God (in the church ofcourse)... They’ll also keep twisting scripture to fit their narratives, implying that all the 50+ translations of the Bible are not accurate... Point is: they’ll lay hands on a barren couple (because the lack of a miracle is a bad look), but are never genuinely willing to lay hands on the most lucrative group: young single people... he didn’t really give any advice to those of us who have been faithful, productive, celibate and waiting for 20 years and are hurting because of loneliness and humiliation... Once again, these pastors are all about exploitation, not spirituality...

Why are we not encouraged to date other believers in the church? Why are so few saying "be fruitful and multiply". Why are so many adopting the LGBT agenda? I see beautiful young women that only talk to gay guys- that's not right. We need a shifting and transformation back to traditional Christian Bible values, ie straight masculinity and straight femininity.

I am 66 yrs old & dating the truest love of my life. He is the one that led me to the light. We are practicing abstinence until marriage to honor Gods word. So this notification has been haunting me and I've been saying "God I'll watch later". But now am in tears. Because God has clarified something that I've been struggling with almost all my life..... Every single depression I went through, every time I cursed God, was because I was failing to understand this even when he kept re-echoing it. I must say though, this is the clearest I've heard it!🙏🏽🙏🏽. And I am ready to keep going deep in God, being consumed by his fire , and then he'll find me tending to my usual business then light that other fire. I feel so much at peace. I feel so free and ready to serve and commune with God, because the junk off my mind has been cleared!!!
Honesty this is for me.. God has promised me that He's going to send a right person at a right time into my life but I am not able to wait it's already been 4 years. I'm 22 now. I feel like settling for wrong things. And when I ask God to deliver me, He's telling that His grace is enough and He's telling me to become strong and overcome what's trying to control you. Please pray for me that I will be consumed with the fire of God to fight the false fire in me.

Amen. This is what my sister is going through. She is 31 and because I got married at 22 and I'm the older sister, it's been hard for her at times to watch my family grow and I'm approaching 13 years in a few months. I've been very transparent with her about all that marriage entails; the struggles, the heartbreaks and the joyful time. We lost our father tragically a few months ago as he was killed by a drunk driver. one of the most difficult things she's expressed is now our dad will never get to walk her down the isle. I've encouraged her to take this time to put Jesus Christ first in everything and make him the reason she does what she does. Glorify God in everything you do and when you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart. When you're married, the struggle to make time for God will intensify, and yet you'll need to lean on him even more. So i would encourage you to do the same. When it's no longer at the forefront, that is when you know it's no longer an idol and God can really move. That doesn't mean he's not preparing the other person, but that he sometimes is waiting on us to get out of the way. Praying for you. blessings
Rackz Crazy channel I feel you, I too am in my 30’s,that feeling pressured is real....every time someone would ask “still single?” “When would you have a child?” And the insensitivity to go even further and remind you that you’re not getting younger and your biological clock is ticking 🙄. Well I have learned to ignore.... since I’ve started taking my Christianity seriously I have come to realize that I wasn’t ready for marriage, and I am the one that actually needs processing and preparing. I bless God for his revelation and for giving me the grace to finally endure and understand that being single is not that bad. He wants to be our first love. He does know our desires...... I’m allowing him to intervene in my life fully now.

24, still single. Hoping for love some day. Saving myself for (hopefully) that one girl. Really hope she does the same. Yet, I find it difficult not to think about why I am still single etc. I need to focus on God more, but with everyone around me getting relationships etc, it's hard. Especially when everybody keeps asking if I finally met a girl yet. ;p I know it sounds whiny, but this is really something I struggle with every day. Can some people give me some advice? theRTT I’ve learned in singleness it’s best to focus on becoming this best person you can be for yourself first then your future partner. Use the season to prepare, so when you do enter a courtship you know how to sustain it
I agree with Creativve Slick. From my own personal experience I can tell you, as soon as I gave God a complete “yes”, and focused on myself, God gave me my now fiancé. God is faithful! And He’s so good. It wasn’t even a month after I made that choice to the Lord that he gave me the desire of my heart. Not saying it will or won’t happen for you that fast but the Lord is faithful to His servants! Keep pressing in His presence.
1. Keep in mind you're not the only single person in the world. 2. It's possible to get someone who is saving themselves too...It's about values and you can decide to get such a person...it can be upto you...decide and pray about it. 3. Ask God to work on you to create an independent and content character, where you are happy and you have healthy self love for yourself. He did it for me. Glory to God....It doesn't happen over night though. He can help you to be self aware and assertive about who you are...find your identity in Him...and ask for discerning too so that you can tell fake ppl from a mile away and you will never waste time on them. 3. Keep meditating on the word of God. You'll grow (spiritually, mentally and emotionally) to be a real man of substance! 👌👌👌 4. Pray for a good circle of friends. And stay away from shallow minded ppl. This was such a revelation! I have become changed in my passion, and couldn't understand why the patterns had changed. I'm more centered on His passion for my purpose, that my passion for old patterns have been burned away. I have found my purpose, His purpose, my calling. I am here to tell you this is the true, I am homeless, but have never been more blessed. I WANT FOR NO WORLDLY THING! MYFATHER SUPPLIES IT ALL! And not like you would think, He does it in abundance, so that I can be a blessing to those around me who haven't got a clue what love, or compassion, or even kindness, genuine kindness looks like. I have been single my entire life. I think I got to relationships because it was the norm. I no longer belief that. It is ok to be single . I am happier and focused . I rather be single than be in the wrong relationship.
wow!! I think he is the only one who has spoken out the REAL struggles of single life. He does not simplify it, also does not negate the Passions, and does not judge. My husband of 5 yrs, and partner for 20 yrs is divorcing me for his boss/ "girlfriend." We have 5 children together. I am not w/o fault but, have tried and still want to reconcile. He wants nothing to do w it. Court date in May. Not "single" by choice. So, not sure if this message is directed towards my situation but, love his sermons & it has brought me a little peace.
I understand where you are. 10 years. He did that to me too. It has been almost 2 years without him. I pray for peace in my heart. I pray that you will have peace and strength.
God has a plan for you and your children . Take this season and let God in complete control in your heart and your life. Not only, will that help you in the future , but your children are looking up to you for that Guidance. Be the vessel of God in their life and focus on Christ and how you can be of service to His church.

This season in my life is a learning season. I barely noticed that my whole 26 yrs of living. I’ve never been single as I aM right now. I use to hang on to temporary people bc I thought it was what I deserved. Then I had my daughter. And it stopped me from having ties with people. Gave me love and faith to understand that temporary people aren’t worth it. God is worthy and he says I’m worthy. And there is a reason for being alone. You learn so much about yourself and you can finally hear Gods voice. He’s a healer. ❤️ I’m embracing this single period. It gets hard but Jesus will never leave us. He will guide us.
The only reason I knew it was him was because he mentioned his wife's name, Holly and I heard it from a sermon before this one.. but I was like "maybe its his little brother". 😅🤣😂

Congrats 2 U! Nothing wrong with your approach. Men just need to step up and match the level of relational goals. We also need to gain and understanding of true intimacy. Amen! I'm 45 years old, and I've been single for 3½ years now. It's the longest I've ever been single. I've always felt that "need" to have someone to complete me, and make me feel validated. I still believe that, for me anyway, I have someone who will be my life partner... and I want badly to meet her. But the difference for me at this point in my life is that I know that I don't "need" her nearly as much as I need God. And that without God at the center, anything or anyone I have in my life will be incomplete. I still struggle with the fire of passion and desire some, but I know that... and I know that I don't want to act on that in and of itself. I have most of my life, and it's NEVER worked out! I know that God is working on me, growing me, and making me the best version of myself... so that when I do meet the woman whom God has been doing the same thing for, it will be His will, for His glory. He tells me to take heart, be patient, and love with ALL of my heart. And He will provide EVERYTHING that I need, and that He planned for me... and for her. Live blessed! ❤️🙏✌️

I see many churches encouraging couples to speed up the marriage process instead of “burn”. But I see a fault in this because if the only reason you are getting married to avoid falling into sexual temptation then you’re not allowing the spirit to exercise His self control over your life. Because I don’t think sexual temptation will be cured inside marriage; temptation is a heart issue; therefore, it can even occur inside a marriage(ex:adultery)
I love this perspective! So helpful!
Sexual frustration is just one of the side effects of being single. The bible gave it as the main reason for marriage because it is a recurrent urge that does not go away but rather increases with time.
People should only listen to the word of GOD! Not what the church tells you to do. The church can’t save you only through Christ our lord. We need to follow the word as it is and not try to form it into our benefit!

This is actually good advise. I walked from a 5 year relationship because God Jesus called me. I was dating someone who was Hindu and I still love her but I've been able to get past my struggles by being passionate about reading God's word and helping out at my church. This season of the corona virus has allowed some of my old passions to creep inside my heart but today I am reminded to lean on God more and become more obsessed with things of God. This preacher did a good job understanding the struggle and what it takes to overcome. If your reading please ask God to keep me strong in my mind and spirit. I mean well but I'm human and the devil keeps presenting me with different opinions.

After years of physical abuse, mental abuse and being cheated on over and over again it saddens me that I am single now. I've been praying and asking God if it is his will may I find someone who puts him first and loves me for who I am. Someone perfect for me and for me to him.

God can change anyone, even the heart of a king (Proverbs 21:1). Separation from an abuser to be single is okay (1 Corinthians 7:11), however, divorce is only permitted when the unbeliever departs (requests for it - 1 Corinthians 7:15). There is nothing God cannot do, he can save your husband, change him and bring him back to you. Love you. Please read Luke 1:37, Jeremiah 32:17, Job 42:2. You might pray for God to work on both of you, to enhance your comparability.

He was physically abusive, mentally abusive, attempted to harm me on multiple occasions, attempted to harm our daughter when she was a newborn because she wouldn't stop crying. He was a nonbeliever and told me he became to worship Satan. I thought I could change him but I was very wrong. Only God can change someone. I now wait for a man of God from our Lord and Savior. Actually, no... All these pastors (that cannot relate) their message is the same: stop being depressed over your barrenness and just “be on fire/work harder” for God (in the church ofcourse)... They’ll also keep twisting scripture to fit their narratives, implying that all the 50+ translations of the Bible are not accurate... Point is: they’ll lay hands on a barren couple (because the lack of a miracle is a bad look), but are never genuinely willing to lay hands on the most lucrative group: young single people... he didn’t really give any advice to those of us who have been faithful, productive, celibate and waiting for 20 years and are hurting because of loneliness and humiliation... Once again, these pastors are all about exploitation, not spirituality...

Why are we not encouraged to date other believers in the church? Why are so few saying "be fruitful and multiply". Why are so many adopting the LGBT agenda? We need a shifting and transformation back to traditional Christian Bible values, ie straight masculinity and straight femininity.

Every single depression I went through, every time I cursed God, was because I was failing to understand this even when he kept re-echoing it. I must say though, this is the clearest I've heard it!🙏🏽🙏🏽. And I am ready to keep going deep in God, being consumed by his fire , and then he'll find me tending to my usual business then light that other fire. I feel so much at peace. Wow this message is really what i need now being in 30's i feel pressured that im single, my friends, classmates have their own family but me still single though i used to remind my self that i should enjoy my singleness and God has already better plan for me and he prepare that right man for the right time.. and i do believe that God has a good plan
Amen. This is what my sister is going through. She is 31 and because I got married at 22 and I'm the older sister, it's been hard for her at times to watch my family grow and I'm approaching 13 years in a few months. I've been very transparent with her about all that marriage entails; the struggles, the heartbreaks and the joyful time. We lost our father tragically a few months ago as he was killed by a drunk driver. one of the most difficult things she's expressed is now our dad will never get to walk her down the isle. I've encouraged her to take this time to put Jesus Christ first in everything and make him the reason she does what she does. Glorify God in everything you do and when you delight yourself in the Lord, he will give you the desires of your heart. When you're married, the struggle to make time for God will intensify, and yet you'll need to lean on him even more.
So i would encourage you to do the same. When it's no longer at the forefront, that is when you know it's no longer an idol and God can really move. That doesn't mean he's not preparing the other person, but that he sometimes is waiting on us to get out of the way.

Rackz Crazy channel I feel you, I too am in my 30’s,that feeling pressured is real....every time someone would ask “still single?” “When would you have a child?” And the insensitivity to go even further and remind you that you’re not getting younger and your biological clock is ticking 🙄. Well I have learned to ignore.... since I’ve started taking my Christianity seriously I have come to realize that I wasn’t ready for marriage, and I am the one that actually needs processing and preparing. I bless God for his revelation and for giving me the grace to finally endure and understand that being single is not that bad. He wants to be our first love. He does know our desires...... I’m allowing him to intervene in my life fully now.

Yet, I find it difficult not to think about why I am still single etc. I need to focus on God more, but with everyone around me getting relationships etc, it's hard.
Especially when everybody keeps asking if I finally met a girl yet. ;p

theRTT I’ve learned in singleness it’s best to focus on becoming this best person you can be for yourself first then your future partner. Use the season to prepare, so when you do enter a courtship you know how to sustain it

I agree with Creativve Slick. From my own personal experience I can tell you, as soon as I gave God a complete “yes”, and focused on myself, God gave me my now fiancé. God is faithful! And He’s so good. It wasn’t even a month after I made that choice to the Lord that he gave me the desire of my heart. Not saying it will or won’t happen for you that fast but the Lord is faithful to His servants! Keep pressing in His presence.
1. Keep in mind you're not the only single person in the world.
2. It's possible to get someone who is saving themselves too...It's about values and you can decide to get such a person...it can be upto you...decide and pray about it.
3. Ask God to work on you to create an independent and content character, where you are happy and you have healthy self love for yourself. He did it for me. Glory to God....It doesn't happen over night though. He can help you to be self aware and assertive about who you are...find your identity in Him...and ask for discerning too so that you can tell fake ppl from a mile away and you will never waste time on them.
3. Keep meditating on the word of God. You'll grow (spiritually, mentally and emotionally) to be a real man of substance! 👌👌👌
4. Pray for a good circle of friends. And stay away from shallow minded ppl. Keep boundaries.

This was such a revelation! I have become changed in my passion, and couldn't understand why the patterns had changed. I'm more centered on His passion for my purpose, that my passion for old patterns have been burned away. I have found my purpose, His purpose, my calling. I am here to tell you this is the true, I am homeless, but have never been more blessed. I WANT FOR NO WORLDLY THING! MYFATHER SUPPLIES IT ALL! And not like you would think, He does it in abundance, so that I can be a blessing to those around me who haven't got a clue what love, or compassion, or even kindness, genuine kindness looks like. I am so blessed! Thank you Pastor for being, brutally honest, and not giving Half a Hallelujah what the world thinks. This season in my life is a learning season. I barely noticed that my whole 26 yrs of living. I’ve never been single as I aM right now. I use to hang on to temporary people bc I thought it was what I deserved. Then I had my daughter. And it stopped me from having ties with people. Gave me love and faith to understand that temporary people aren’t worth it. God is worthy and he says I’m worthy. And there is a reason for being alone. You learn so much about yourself and you can finally hear Gods voice. He’s a healer. ❤️ I’m embracing this single period. It gets hard but Jesus will never leave us. He will guide us.

I have a problem with infatuation. That's why most of my relationships (I've only been in two relationships) burned out. This false fire nonsense. I'm just going to keep praying, because I know that God will send me the right person when He sees fit; His time not mine. I don't like being single. And covid 19 lockdown has made it worse. I got married in my 20's and divorced at 36. My husband was supposed to be a Christian, but he kept cheating. I'm 52 and still want to be married again. I thought I would have someone to grow old with. Loneliness bites.
