Jamie, No Eagle Lake Ont. this year😢 Thank you for confirming that it is OK to throw smaller baits, I am fairly new at Muskie fishing but my son is avid and trying to teach the old man new tricks.... but throwing a double call girls with number 10 blades, I even see him Setting down his pole and resting from time to time, LOL Besides it’s also nice to catch a Northern or Small mouth or even a walleye every now and then using a smaller buck tail ... Keep up the good work!!, Love seeing all of you guys working the buzz 👍

Greetings my friend of course I also see your next video because I subscribed to you .. see you soon my friend 🎣😉👍🇩🇪
the idea of a medium heavy stick as the "only one rod" is for suckers, and i dont mean bait lol. this is designed to sell more rods, as you wont be happy with a 9' MH. buy a 9' XH. here is the deal folks, i throw 1 oz JB rattlers on a 9'6 XXH (chaos tackle shock and awe). you will be able to throw small 1 oz baits with a 9' XH, but you will also be able to burn blades in the figure 8. you wont be able to throw a posseidon or magnum bulldawg with a MH. no one wants to miss a musky boat side because you couldnt speed up your bait in the 8. you likely will not be able to throw mepps #5 and #14 rapala, but im telling you that its a sacrifice worth making, and you can always get a serious bass stick or inshore spinning rod for that. and why not a xxh you ask? fatigue. you will fish longer because the rod is lighter, and 4 oz makes a difference when you are chucking a 9oz bait for 7 hours. go with a 9'ish xh rod. telescopic preferred for travel and storage. fleet farm carries okuma rods that are perfect for this, as well as st. croix. want something nicer, look at chaos tackle SWAT or SWAT 20/20, or the higher end MOJO musky.
💯 , shock and awe get you in most situations. Chaos tackle I like the best on rods. Shimano compre in 9 foot. I wouldn't own a rod for musky shorter than 8 6
