- The Canon PowerShot ELPH 360 HS and 5 reasons I love it! The Canon PowerShot ELPH 360 HS is simply an amazing camera and in this video I'll go through why I think so.
This camera really is great (for a point and shoot). For a beginner looking to start with photography or even UA-cam, this is a good option. It has a lot of basic features that make taking photos and shooting videos incredibly easy. If you don't want to worry about camera settings or you aren't tech savvy then throw it in auto and get started. Want good video quality? The Canon PowerShot ELPH 360 HS records in 1920x1080 Full HD! What about the cost? Well, it's super budget friendly and comes in at about $239 on Amazon!
Honestly, if I were looking for a high quality, budget friendly, point and shoot camera that could shoot in Full HD then I can't think of a better option. Also, did I mention the size? Yes, I understand it's a point and shoot and they're meant to be small, but that's why you need to highlight that feature, because it IS great! Alright, enough talk, let's get into it.
Thanks for watching, and Always Capture Great Moments!

Do you own the ELPH 360 HS? What's your favorite thing about it???
Hey, nice review! I’m am image student based in UK looking for this camera for a project is there any possibility I could rent / buy yours?
@@FlorenceOgbay sorry I don't think so. Thanks for the comment though!
Yep, great for slipping into your pocket. Always have a camera with you. Your other video on using the ELPH 360 is most helpful.
Great video!!! I may have to grab one of those!! Love my canon!!
Haha thanks! I really love that camera. It's great to just grab and go if you're in a hurry. I normally use my Canon 6D Mark II, but this is good too in a pinch.
Great review. Straight to the point. Great video all around. U have a new subscriber.
@@slinky702 thank you!
We need more videos of this camera!
Haha! I've already made so many about it lol but I know there's not many options for good quality videos about this camera. Appreciate the support!
You simply cannot beat Nikon for the best SLR. However, as a teacher I needed a small, dependable compact point/shoot camera to carry with me. I swear, best little camera I’ve ever owned is the older version - Canon PS Elph 180. I loved your clip, extremely informative and well done. I’m thinking of upgrading my Canon.
Thank you! Appreciate the feedback!
It would have been great if you could share some photos taken from this camera and some sample videos
I do have a few other videos on my channel with samples
OIS is the sole reason why I have the Elph 360, mainly for the first time in my life, I can take pictures because of physical issues from meningitis incurred as an infant.
Yes OIS is amazing. It can be very helpful in a lot of situations and most times removes the need for any type of gimbal
does this camera blur when you first use macro up close then try to view from a long distance?
It may depend on the focus mode you're using. If it's on face detection then it may blur going from macro to long distance but it shouldn't blur for a long period of time. It could also be a mechanical issue with your specific camera
Hi! How is the Wifi? Can you send photos to your phone directly from the camera?
I haven't used the camera in a while but I'm pretty sure you can through the Canon Connect app
Would this be a good choice for taking pictures at concerts and/or for travelling?
Good for traveling but probably not concerts
I know this has been up a few, question? How does it handle bright sun light. I had the 190 and it would put a streak across the video.
If you have it pointed directly at the sun then yes you'll probably get stealing, but I haven't had that big of a problem with that
@@JakeBorowski15 the 190 if you get near any bright light it will do it. Thanks for the reply.
Not a problem happy to help!
My 360 handles bright sunlight pretty well! It also blew out my 🧠s as to the prowess it has in low light. In 2016 I visited the Civil War Museum in Harrisburg, PA. & one of the exhibits was almost pitch black. Still, the flash illuminated it spectacularly to the point that it was like it was almost outside & I could take a clear shot in every way!
I think you are right, it is a very good camera but it has a week point, if it gets hit with the lens out, it won't go back in.
I've never had that issue but I could see how it could happen
so if you break it lol
Is the camera good for low light?
For a point and shoot it is. But compared to a DSLR not really
Like Good Job Brother
Thank you! Much love!
Is this camera better than the camera on my phone? Galaxy s20fe
I'm not very familiar with the Samsung s20fe but point and shoot cameras are very close to the quality of most smart phones nowadays. Yes the sensors are bigger in point and shoots but the technology and everything else included in a smart phone camera does come very close to a point and shoot. With that said though I am a huge advocate for using an actual camera and not a smart phone camera. There's just something about using a real camera that makes the whole process of capturing photos and videos much more fun. Hope that helps and isn't too confusing.
Thoughts on comparing to the lumix DMC-ZS100???
@@bryanmares2102 I think the Lumix is probably a better option for most. However it is a bit more pricey than the Canon. I'd say that's probably the only downside from the quick glance I had at the specs and features of it
i just got this camera new from canon and all the pics are out of focus and blurry. im so lost idk ive looked everywhere for a fix. did you have this problem when you first got it?
I did not have this problem at all I recommend watching this video to help set up your camera: ua-cam.com/video/041hQbkAqDk/v-deo.htmlsi=ujBA_EvrpH4N4Kjv
@@JakeBorowski15 thank you i’ll check it out
I've owned this camera since it came out and I really don't like but that's because I don't know how to make the video less grainy and the lack of an eternal microphone is a deal breaker for me but it's the best budget option...my dumbass thought every camera had an external mic input.
Good video which could have been improved without the music.
Oh yeah my audio edits were horrible back then.
I wish this camera had the ability to shoot in Raw,or had the ability to change the aperture for Motion Blur/bokeh or for night time light trail photography
That would be awesome! I wish point and shoots just had a few more features than what they have
@@JakeBorowski15 same
I'm trying to find out why videos are so bad. doesnt look full hd to me at all.
I'm not 100% sure where but you should be able to find where to set the video resolution in the menu somewhere. Hit the menu button and search in there
Make sure there’s light
This camera sucks. put it on a tripod or not, doesnt matter, takes a clear pic in one shot and in the same 2nd shot it will be all blurry when nothing in the shot has changed. Does this randomly regardless how still your shot is. The camera works when it wants. My Amazon tablet takes better shots besides its 5mp's and fuzziness but least its clear.
You need to know how to use the camera in order to take a good picture. Yes if you want to want to put in the lowest amount of effort into a photo, then get a tablet that probably costs more than double the price of this camera. Or you could actually take more than 5 minutes to learn how to use this very simple camera.
