Wild harvesting muscadines for transplant and cultivation

- We’ve been wanting to use the dry skins and pulp of muscadines for use in tea blends. Lo and behold, we found some growing wild on our land. I’m told that only the females produce grapes, so that’s what we went for (most of the vines we have in the woods didn’t have fruit so I’m assuming those are male).
I’ll do another video on building trellises getting these things under cultivation.
Thanks for watching. Stay tuned to see what else is brewing here at Table Rock Tea Company!
Thank you for the video. I’m trying to replant some in my back yard!
Best to you on the endeavor!
Nice. Educational.
Excellent. So far, they are all doing well.
Good luck sir. I have tried a few times to transplant wild vines but have found that don't live in full sun.
Happy to report that all of them are thriving! 3 of the 6 are already up to the wire support:)
Any updates on your plants? Did they make it? I tried transplanting a muscadine plant, although it died.
ALL of them are alive and doing well!
@@tablerockteacompany Great :D
Thank you
I’m no expert, but hope it helps :)
hey how did it turn out
I am waiting for everything to wake up before I can tell
Worth a try... It may die back. But it's possible as many roots that you saved it may come back. Set it and forget it
When I do stuff like this I usually try to get sand and mix it in about half and half with your potting soil...
@@groovee63 - all 6 are thriving!
Hi, where is this located?
